This spot was recommended to us so we had to go check it out for our date night. It was slow for a Tuesday night and our food was served fairly quickly. Server was prompt and accommodating. The food is delicious here. The staff is very friendly, a lot of options and space for seating. Sadly, they don't offer happy hour. They don't have a variety of vodkas. I ordered a vodka/soda "short" (Tito's) with an orange and lime wedge. For $7.75 it was a medium sized glass with too much ice and too much club soda. read more

We stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday. The service was poor, for it being very busy. the beer selection was okay. the memu offered a selection was ok, it I thought was high. I was so disappointed when we brought our friend here & she ordered the "Special" which was "Fresh Harvest Pasta" (see photo-pasta with avocado SAUCE and grilled chicken breast on top) for a whopping $26.95 (not including tip/tax). She had no idea that the lunch special was so spendy for what you got. We didn't think that a lunch would be so spendy, especially since the usual entrees were in the $15-20 range. The service and some of the food was good. I am gluten intolerant. The menu doesn't show that it has gluten free buns. The fries are battered and didn't display on the menu. Also my bf wanted to order the poutine since it has chili on it and it's a new item. The server said that the chili on the poutine isn't served during the summer time so it's basically just fries or curds with gravy. New favorite place. Glad we found it. We like to sit outside because it's too loud inside, unless in the dining room. Staff has been friendly and attentive each time. We get the cheese curds everytime. I think the jumbo tater kegs could use a little more flavor or maybe cheese in the inside as well but the rest of my family loves them. Burgers and wings are tasty. We have been following this food truck on FB and decided to try it today. The restaurant they are from is in Wyoming, MN but the truck was parked at an insurance company in Forest Lake. We had the Prime Rib sandwich, fries and white cheddar cheese curds. Everything was very good. The meat in the sandwich was very thinly sliced and easy to chew. The cheese curds were very tasty too. I would highly suggest to try the food truck if you are in its area. We plan to go to the restaurant once things settle down with the covid. read more

Great stop this fall before we ventured across the 35w bridge to the Deadend Hayride for Spooky adventure. Very friendly staff and patrons made us feel very welcome. We sat in the bar area, and the other patrons were a mixture of office types and construction types, pretty nice people. As it was the beginning of the holiday weekend, a group of guys on their ginormas bikes pulled in, and there were a couple of collector cars in the lot too. Nice. If you are looking for consistently good PRIME RIB, This Is The Place !! The interior of the dining room looks to me like someone tried to imitate an old time steakhouse with lots and lots of wood. CLean enough too. We usually ordered the prime rib and the walleye, so we could have a surf n turf.. I am pretty sure that in the 10 yrs I have been coming here I have never been disappointed. Maybe once or twice it might have been a little off, but still darn good. And the service has usually been fairly good considering that we are out in the middle of nowheresville. This small town corner bar is usually always pretty crowded. They have several local tap beers to choose from that change fairly often. The teriyaki chicken wings are great--big whole sections of meat perfectly fried and seasoned. My biggest complaint would be the availability of sitting. If you're not comfortable or able to sit at the bar or at tall tables, the few shorter tables are almost always taken. It's a shame, because they have a whole restaurant section they could open and still only serve drinks and have a limited kitchen. read more

My fiancé and I had dinner here last night. Worst service we've ever had. We came in sat down, it was 12 minutes before a server came over and asked what we would like. The food was really good when it finally came. The food took forever and it wasn't busy there at all. I was a server for many many years and firmly believe that the server we had needs better training in customer service. Also, while we were there an elderly couple sat down at a table close to us and literally sat there for 15 minutes and not one of the servers that walked past them stopped to help them. They finally got up and left. That says a lot about the type of place this is. Sorry to say we definitely will not be returning. Very very disappointing because we live very close. read more
