The worst restaurant experience we have ever had hands down. We were visiting guests for an away game at Centennial HS and we came early to eat. It was busy when we got there, but manageably so. Our waitress took our order, but I know that she forgot to submit it. We waited over an hour and a half for our food and eventually left without eating at all so we wouldn't miss the game. They said that the kitchen was slammed, but dozens of people came after us and left before us having received their food. We left hungry, mad and disappointed. Please avoid the horrible situation that we went through and go somewhere else. read more

We met family here for lunch today. We had a nice time visiting. It wasn't too crowded so it wasn't as loud in there as the last time I was there. I ordered the walleye sandwich was pretty tasty. My husband got the Cuban. We both got their home made chips with our sandwiches. We had great service. Thank you. read more

Came here to play bar bingo with some friends. Place was busy and we arrived about 45 minutes before it even started. Our server was friendly. Took our order right away, but beverages took a long time to come (each time it was 15/30 minutes). I had the grilled buffalo chicken wrap with kettle chips. It was flavorful and very filling (brought half of it home). The bar offered fresh popcorn to enjoy (the smell alone made you want it). My friends enjoyed nachos and a burger. Both enjoyed their meals and cocktails as well. The restaurant is large with lots of seating and larger bar area. Appears to event room downstairs, game area for kids, pool tables, and pull tables as well. I'd come back to play bingo again. Large variety of food on the menu. read more

A little disappointed today first of all our young waitress never once checked on us to see how we were doing we had to flag her down. Also, we were there celebrating my dad and his twin sisters 81st birthday. That's sort of a big deal. We let her know right away and she didn't even wish them a happy birthday at all throughout the service. Wasn't expecting anything for free but just disappointed. We will for sure go elsewhere to celebrate birthdays. read more

We are new to the area and felt like going out for a drink and some food. I drive past trappers everyday so I thought we would give them a try. We went around 730pm on a Saturday. We were greeted promptly and it was not to busy, it was loud! Upon getting settled our servers came over and we quickly ordered our drinks. The drinks were served quick. Ordered food shortly after. Everything was good not great, typical bar restaurant food. I like the atmosphere so I would go back for drinks and apps. read more

We went to Trappers for an early dinner or late lunch. I ordered the fish and chips, waffle fries. My wife got the 1/4 broasted chicken with waffle fries. Everything was good. It wasn't very busy at this time but that was kind of nice. I would suggest ti stop by if you are in the area. read more

A great local bar! Good food! Great tap beer! Great service!! Bingo nights are a bit overwhelming. You need to get there early on those nights, and beware it gets loud! Also - if you've never played Bingo there, make sure they explain to you how to buy cards, and when. We got burned because no one told us we couldn't buy a bunch of Bingo cards up front. read more

They might have the most unique menu of any bar/grill I've visited. There's the usual greasy options, but also healthier options including a salad bar. Pretty cool! Anyhow, I went here with a co-worker for a couple drinks and some grub. I was trying to eat healthier in this time frame so I selected the ham steak with hashbrowns and the seasonal vegetables. I also elected to add the aforementioned salad bar. The food quality was pretty good for a bar, but the ham came with a pineapple glaze. There was far too much of it and the glaze seeped into the rest of the food, for a somewhat off-putting taste. The salad bar also had soup options. Overall, not a horrible experience. Our server came by and made sure we had enough to drink. My companion had fun playing bingo...they have a pretty decent payout, imo, for a bar. read more

A 5th and final attempt to do and bring business into Trappers bar and Grill. I don't have the stomach to go into details but, a party of 10 at the time walked out for the final time a d went to the American Legion down the street and got treated like royalty by 1 male server The party grew to 15 by that time. Absolute disbelief in the lack of anyone who resembles a decision maker. All I asked was can a group of 10 sit in the lower level together? POOR MANAGEMENT, DON'T WONDER AT END OF MONTH WHY YOUR BUSINESS IS DOWN. THIS GROUP IS GONE FOREVER. read more

Really slow. Food was bland. Hand dipped wings with atomic sauce tasted like ketchup and a full order is apparently 5 little chunks. Environment is nice, otherwise clean. Just a bad experience we hope. read more

Quiet neighborhood bar with a larger presence. Inside you will find billiards, darts, seating, pull tabs, and expansive bar. I can't speak for food or drinks because I was here for approximately 2 hours before closing. The couple of beverages I ordered were good and arrived timely. Seeing this is the closest and only bar and grill next to the baseball fields it's a most stop place! The environment and views are amazing, the liquor is cheap, but the rail offerings are more like various selections of diesel fuel. The food selection is classic bar food but fairly priced. The only miss was the wings....but all in all well worth your time to get out of the summer baseball sun! read more

Avoid Mothers Day buffet. We had a reservation and were seated 30 minutes late. The food was not hot and the dessert bar was decimated by the time we were able to go through. They were totally unprepared for the crowd (eventhough they knew how many reservations they had). read more

Ordered some take out. The girl taking out order was nice and that's where it ended. Waited forever for the to go order to be ready, way after the 30 min quoted. Closer to an hour. Waited forever to be acknowledged. Everyone looked, but no greeting. Finally after 15 min a put off manager came out. Waited another 15 min to get the good from another extremely out off server who packaged it up and shoved it my way. Service was terrible , unwelcoming and rude. Food was okay. The club sandwich I had tasted a bit off, like the turkey might have been old. Had it on the try list, can take it off. I'll gladly spend my money elsewhere where it's not such an incredible inconvenience to be served. read more

Our table of 8, from various parts of the country, all got something different to eat and drink. Many had not tried boudin. That was a big hit from the app menu. Jambalaya Bowl was huge enough for left overs. It was delicious, rice perfect and quality proteins. Everyone raves about every item. The service was both quick and friendly. Small bar off of dining space seemed to be a spot for locals. Did not sit outside on the water, maybe next time when it's cooler. This place is a palette pleaser. read more

Went here for a bday party Decided to try the pastrami sandwich with pepper jack and salad bar. Salad bar was average at best. Was backwards and the wild rice soup was watered down. I tried two different drinks and neither one had alcohol in them. Decided to stick with water. Food showed up. The menu said the pastrami was piled high. I wish I would have taken a picture. You would have gotten more pastrami buying a single pack of Carl budding beef. Not impressed On a side note my relatives had the open face roast beef dinner. They didn't even eat it as the gravy was so salty it ruined everything. On a side note the waitress did a great job. Sorry but we won't be back read more

I have eaten here for breakfast and lunch a couple times. The atmosphere is very country bar. The patrons can often be seen in camo, and clearly eat here on Sunday afternoons because they always have eaten there on Sunday afternoons. The food is mediocre, but it's not pricey. The service has left a lot to be desired. Twice now my group has been mostly ignored. Fool me twice, shame on me. I won't make it a third. read more

Trappers is your typical local bar. Granted, I've not been in many "local" bars, but this is what I imagine them to be. We went here to celebrate a few birthdays with our neighborhood group and one of the ladies that frequents Trappers (because her brother lives nearby) calls it a "dive" bar. I wouldn't go so far, as to me, a "dive" bar is a lot more scummy. They have big screen TVs, a central bar area, tables surrounding the bar, video games, and pool tables. What set them apart, though, was their food. It was all very good. Not just greasy burgers. I had Jeff's Special Roast Beef sandwich which was basically a french dip. And it was very good. I had waffle fries with seasoned sour cream and those were typical for bar food, but still yummy. A neighbor had fajitas, which he said was good and his wife raved about the patty melt. I had a taste of the melt and thought it was ok. But the best dish all around was their broasted chicken. Crispy, tender, and juicy. Kudos to the waitress because my wife ordered all breast meat and got all dark meat. She didn't notice til she was halfway through her meal and right after she said something to our group, the waitress came up behind us with a plate off all white meat. So everyone got to try some. It was VERY good. I wouldn't make a special trip here just for the broasted chicken, but if you're in the area, it's definitely worth a stop. read more

I'm new to the area and Trappers is just down the street from me. I've been a few times now and have enjoyed it each time. The burgers here are some of the best I've ever had and I really like the Monday combination of Bingo and a $5 burger. The service hasn't been anything terribly special, but they're pretty quick and plenty nice enough. I tried the soup and salad bar once, but wouldn't recommend it. If you like burgers, I'd say get one everytime. Other food here looks good too. Lots to choose from, good atmosphere, many TVs with sports. Different specials and things going on throughout the week. Not impressed. My son (14yo) and I visited tonight for a special night out after shopping. My son ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries. He took a bite and felt that the meat tasted old and a bit rotten. I took a small bite and agreed with him. We alerted our waitress and she asked if we'd like her to have them make a new one, we declined as he had lost his appetite. She said "ok, we'll I'll let the kitchen know." Then left our bill and walked away, we didn't see her again. Would not recommend or visit again. read more

Just got back from my first lunch here. Burgers were recommended by some co-workers and Trappers delivered! Ordered the Deluxe Trapper Burger, prepared medium, Caliornia style, with bacon, grilled onions, sautéed mushrooms, and some mystery sauce that was AWESOME!!! Waffle fries and seasoned sour cream for dipping was a la cart. Burger was actually delivered medium (as ordered) and was fantastic. The mystery sauce was embedded between the grilled onions and sautéed mushrooms and worked great in combination with the juicy burger, bacon, California toppings, and soft hamburger buns. Value was great too, burger with fries including tax and tip was $10. Not bad for a Friday afternoon lunch spot. One star removed for bacon not being crispy. read more

Trappers is a nice local sports bar. Formerly Shirley K's, it has expanded. The view of Rice Lake is nice. If you snowmobile (remember snow?) this is a must stop place while on the rice creek trails. Its a good bet for a burger or whatever the special is. Today's special was fish and chips. My wife got those. I got a BBQ bacon burger. Both the burger and the fries were good. Fish was crisp and tasty. The server was friendly, if a bit quiet. She got the job done. Drop in if you're nearby. read more

Originally I had only ever been here for drinks at night. (They occasionally have live bands which is pretty cool) A friend suggested we come in for brunch one morning to try the bloody mary bar and get some greasy bar food to calm the hangover. IT WAS AMAZING. I got some kind of skillet with eggy, hashbrowny, cheesy goodness. DELISH! And the bloody mary bar hit the spot. Previously we've always had good service and food. BUT tonight was a disaster! I ordered taco salad, husband ordered a burger. Took 1hour. Taco salad done, burger not started. 1 of 2 cooks on cell phone in the kitchen, you could see it. WTF ? Two guys on other side of bar, ordered after us and got their order before us. And done eating. Love Trappers and the staff. Great breakfast and bloody bar. Fresh bloody bar and lots of mixes to choose from. Eggs Benedict is my favorite at Trappers. I order it every time. Crisp hash browns! Don't forget the Chicken Caesar wrap with Tat-or tots. read more
