Reuben was overcooked. Corned beef was shredded and more resembled crispified leftovers more fit for hash than a sandwich. Fries were fine for what they are. Kid ordered the Cajun pasta. It's not a large portion for 24 bucks. And while the server didn't think it was overly spicy, it was more like hot Cheetos. Hot for the sake of hot and definitely not good for some tastes. One more chicken pasta, a side salad, and soup....add four drinks and the total came to $120 after the requisite credit card fee. We had a nice time, and the service was great. My steak was overcooked. When I shared that with our server, I was offered a replacement. I declined, not wanting to have my dinner after everyone else. My son had a basketball tournament in Forest Lake and we had time between games to get some lunch. I found Stella's on Yelp and the team and parents met us here. The service was awesome for our large group. They made our food quickly and it was delicious. I ordered the brussel sprouts for an appetizer and they were amazing!!!!! I also had the chicken app called the monkey something - it was okay. It looked a little slimey so I wasn't crazy about the presentation but the flavor was decent. My friend ordered the tuna a loved it. Another friend ordered the fish tacos and said they were amazing! There's outdoor seating on the golf course for a nice weather day. We absolutely love coming to Stella's! We've been there three times now and I've still not managed to get a picture before we've devoured our food. Everything we've tried has been spectacular! It's gonna take a bit to get through the menu as we always share appetizer/entree and we've gotten the Brussel sprouts twice since we love them so much! Food 4/5 - The food never disappoints at Stella's. It's always amazing and consistent which is hard to find now of days. The thick cut pork chop was THICK and juicy! The burger was full of flavor and the sweet potato fries were delicious. Service / Ambiance 4/5 - The staff at Stella's are always so nice and welcoming. The dinning room and/or outside by the golf course is our favorite places to sit for dinner. The bar side of Stella's can get pretty loud during the weekday nights/weekends. read more

Our waitress was pleasant; however, my chicken was overcooked, not a great quality, and had lots of breading. I requested ranch dressing instead of butter and sour cream for my baked potato and asked for some gravy for my chicken (the gravy is listed in the menu description of the chicken entree). I was given a very small ramekin of each (no more than two tablespoons,) and was up charged a dollar for the ranch and two dollars for the puny amount of gravy. It's a nice place, but the service could be much better and the nickel and diming for condiments is not great customer service. read more

Service was quick and very pleasant for a Sunday just before dinner rush. Bloody Mary flavor was on par with good flavor but I'd say could use a little more spices and the bacon was limp and cold like it had been sitting around a while. Ahí tuna was warm when it came out, flavor was spot on. Spicy Mayo was delicious. Slightly smaller portion size for price than what I've seen around and the julienned vegetables are not usually ones I find accompanying Ahi. A dash of salt on the seafood penne and it was delicious. A very large portion left me very satisfied. Minnesota Mac n Cheese has a lot going on. The ham leaves me a little less than impressed but the pork belly and even the andouille seem much better paired with the dish. Slightly bland but again, a dash of salt and pepper and it's another very filling dish. I didn't realize Stella's was part of the golf course so it's a touch on the "edge of town" feel instead of central to other shops and the like if you're looking for walking distance like some of the other restaurants. What a hidden gem! We rarely venture past the fast food joints at the Forest Lake exit, but had some extra time tonight and decided to try something new. The dining room has an old school vibe, and the menu selections are a great combination of past and present. Our server Ashley was knowledgeable and friendly, and was very helpful with my gluten free wife's questions. I had the tenderloin steak sandwich, and couldn't have been happier. We have had mixed feelings about Stella's. We usually get lunch or an early dinner so we have always had good service. The food is always great as well. That ended when we decided to introduce Stella's to our friends one evening. We made reservations for the dinner hour to make sure we got a table. That part went well and we were seated and had our drinks right away. After relaxing a bit we ordered dinner and I ordered a Ahi appetizer since they were very good. Well the Ahi was not up to their usual standards. It was over done and dry. Dinner arrived and they had the order mixed up. After mentioning it we were avoided and finally had to go find our waitress. About that time a large group showed up and were seated in the back room. We were told it would be at least an hour or more before they could make our order right. It was obvious that they were going to prioritize the big group so we asked for the check so we could leave. Approximately 5:30-6 PM. After waiting for a table, we were seated and given menus by the host. While waiting, I counted 9 open tables in the main dining room. At the table, we waited for over 15 minutes and were not greeted by a server, provided with water, etc. We appeared to be non-existent while servers greeted other tables, cleared tables, delivered bills, etc. We tried to wave down staff but were not acknowledged. We finally got up and left. We had come to celebrate a special achievement but left with utter disappointment. What reason do we have to go back? We celebrated my son's birthday here last evening. We were a group of 15 and had made a reservation. Getting shown to our table we were seated at two different round tables. Although, there were plenty of larger tables that would have accommodated all of us seated together. Also, upon arrival when I was bringing in the birthday cake, I was asked if I knew about their "cake fee". I said I did not. I was informed that if we wanted to serve the cake there would be a $30 cake fee. I have been to much finer establishments and have never been charged a "cake fee". After dinner, I asked our server for some clean forks and little plates for the cake. She rolled her eyes and said " yeah, I guess I can do that".
