First time visiting after passing it on our way home from William OBrian state park. Very nice ambiance- cabin feel with nice woodsy design. Cute decorated patio as well! Nice menu including wings, walleye, and build your own burgers. Definitely upgrade to the sweet potato fries Not too shabby on the pocketbook eirher!! The servers and hostess were very nice and answered all of our questions about th3 history of the town. We'll definitely be back! We decided we're going to visit more "off the beaten path" places. Stay tuned for more!

What a great place off the beaten path. Incredible service from a new waitress Named Sarah. Incredible cocktails and huge portions. New Phone place was a perfect evening to spend with good friends and definitely will be coming back more often from Wisconsin

Love Sals but Friday Fish was not good. Greasy mushy fish with fries. If you want Steak, great but find a different Friday night fish fry.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. I love the angus bites, pan fried walleye and prime rib.

The wait at the table was longer than we anticipated but luckily for us, there were some bar seats available. The bartender at the moment was Cameron. He gave us the rundown on the food and drinks and made several recommendations. We started off the evening with the Don Corlone. It was very tasty and also an Andorran Martini. Both drinks were delightful and were semi-sweet but not too sweet. The mixture of the Don Corlione had a perfect blend of citrus and sweetness. We then ordered the pastry puff poppers and they were amazing. The sauce complemented the pastry puffs and the filling left you wanting more. To finish the night we ordered tiramisu, cheesecake, and some bubbles. Thank you Cameron for the amazing service and experience we hope to be back again soon.

My companion and I both ordered the quesadillas appetizer as our lunches. WOW. The best quesadillas I've ever had. Delicately crispy on the outside and stuffed with all the good things inside. Not hot (aka spicy) at all, which is great for someone likes me who blows up when looking at a jalapeno sideways. Far more than I really needed to eat. The staff were all so kind and enthusiastic. (And hey, I found my keys!) Hopefully they'll get the ladies' room up and running soon, as the men's room was...yeah.

The place is split into a bar area with tables and a smaller dining area. We opted for the dining section since we had little ones with us. There was one server covering our section, which had our table and another table. While she seemed to be keeping up with orders reasonably well, her friendliness left something to be desired. As the face of the restaurant, especially in a family-friendly section, a warmer attitude would've gone a long way. Food-wise, everything we ordered was solid. I had the deluxe patty melt with fries which was tasty, well-cooked, and a generous portion. Others at the table had walleye strips, nachos, mac and cheese, and another sandwich (can't remember the name). Across the board, everyone enjoyed their meals, and the portions were definitely generous for the price. Overall, Howard's delivered on food and portion size, but the service could use a little polish to make it a more welcoming experience. Would I come back? I'd likely consider, I just hope the service is better this time.
