This place was recommended to me by someone with a lot of years of sobriety. The owners are some of the best people I have come to know, and do a lot of good for a lot of people. This house is the nicest house on the block, with a spacious driveway, and a beautiful interior, in a quiet neighborhood, in a great location between Lake Worth and Boynton Beach. There is the perfect amount of accountability in this house. There are weekly house meetings where they have you log your activity in the program, and go over your progress. The owners vet all residents, and run background checks to make sure they aren't inviting dangerous or troublesome people to live here. Pay your rent, work a program, stay sober, clean up after yourself, are really the only rules. Which is perfect, because that's what life will be like when you decide to graduate to living on your own again. Maintenance issues were addressed and fixed promptly. I can't recommend this place enough. I have to mention how good the A/C was too. The house was always nice and cool. God forbid I need sober living again... but if I did, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

(Not Uncommon these days) When he first got there he told me how nice the place was. Coming from my son that's good. He's like the Siskel and Ebert of program reviewers lol. He spent three weeks in their PHP program and then transistioned to the halfway house, He had a slip. Randy (Director) and Chris (works there) did everything in their power to get him back in detox. It was a monumental task but they did it. They communicated with me even in their off hours. They went above and beyond and didn't have to do that, but they did. I can't thank them enough for what they did. This place and staff is not about the money. They're about actually helping people with their addiction and getting them on the road to recovery. While my son was there PBR is very activity based. They did a lot with him from rope climbing to snorkeling, horseback riding to name a few. They're heavily meeting based. This is important because once you leave a program you MUST attend a 12 step program. They're 100% legitimate on insurance and billing. But if your insurance runs out they don't throw you to the gutter. They will do everything in their power to keep you in their program and if they can't for some reason they will make sure that your in another or a safe place. They're good people with good hearts ! When my son completes detox he's going back there. (I Hope) While he was at Palm Beach Recovery he looked and sounded the best he has in a long time. I had my son back. If your thinking about sending a loved one there all I can say from my experience is do it ! Will my son get better and recover ? No one knows. A person has to want to do it and be sick and tired of being sick and tired. Many people do recover. Some die. Some live a long time causing themselves grief and those around them grief. Theres alot of people and and apartments and only one manaher who works and is only there when off and wants to sleep or relax , not babysit people. You are on your own. I relapsed after someone my apartment did on zanax.they only came to test him after someone went and told the manager and he came over 2 hours later ,then argued with him and had to drug test him 2 times because he cheated and finally the manager just got in his face and punched him until he was dazzed on the ground. While that was going on i took some of the zanax he left on the dresser we shared. 2 hours later at 11 at night they kicked me out and while i walked to the mental ward the manager stole my apple airpods and a drill and vape. And a couple other things. Than they wouldnt let me come back so i had to go to a new place and pay the fees and first and last all over again. I Called the owner and asked him to fix the situaction twice and he didnt call me back. So I alerted FARR and they in spected them. DO NOT go there. No dignity or integritty.

Requirements include chores, a meeting a day, meeting with your sponsor once a week, a house meeting once a week, downloading a tracking app, not leaving the house for 2 weeks without another female- and if you ask them to go somewhere you might be pegged "manipulative" by the owners- keep that in mind. If you want to stay sober it's a choice, but don't expect to be making many personal choices here. and the owners will chastise you if you have any sort of personal life. Mind you- even if you're following ALL of these rules you're not immune to fucking relapse- I was there for a week and my house manager relapsed and wen to JAIL. They constantly float about their "success rate"- but while I was there for a week we had probably 6-8 people leave or relapse within the houses. YOU CANT FORCE SOMEONE INTO SOBRIETY! Whether they're on a leash or not! Be prepared to download life360 upon arrival and be tracked wherever you go, and if you're in a relationship throw this idea of living here in the bin all together. Your recovery progress and freedoms is completely based on how quickly you work the steps- so if you want to actually take your time and do them right i wouldn't recommend this house. If you move to Moana one of the "bedrooms" is two beds behind a curtain in the living room for $230 a week. So say goodbye to your privacy! New rules might be spring upon you if they don't think you're 100% recovery focused, and this is even if you do absolutely everything you signed up for- don't be shocked if it's still not enough! Feel the pressure of getting a job almost immediately after treatment- but don't forget your buddy at your interview! The input typically isn't constructive criticism, and often times can be downright disrespectful and belittling. If you don't have a car be prepared to be begging others for rides- and don't sit around the house too much- beg someone to "buddy" with you just so you can get some fresh air! If you think you're doing the right thing- think again, and again, and again- owners and leads often get bored and may feel the need to interrogate you because you spend too much time at a certain place. Good thing they have life 360 on us for when their life gets boring! Be prepared to PAY- out of pocket- to live with the illusion of freedom out of treatment. If you're absolutely desperate I'd say go for it but not if it'll make your pockets hurt.

They jack up the prices of the rooms whenever they feel, for whatever reason they feel at the time. There's two beds in a living room covered with a curtain that went from $230 to $265 without any explanation. When giving my concerns about wanting more privacy, the owners make it seem like privacy is synonymous for relapsing. Women are packed like sardines where there is 7 women to 1 bathroom. A meeting a day is required, which on paper is not too harsh of a task; except for people who are newly recovered, with no vehicle, you are left to ask around for rides with no accommodation. Its very apparent the owners run a business first and foremost, so money is their number one priority. Everyone's personal business is up for discussion and there's fear mongering whenever someone mentions the topic of leaving. The owners are very condescending and very arrogant and gloat that they're one of the best sober livings when in reality there's many like it. They have cameras in one of the bedrooms which they frequently will check. There are daily chores that must be done by 10 am with no exception for those who work late. You will be in trouble for sleeping or resting on your days off. Decisions are made upon personal opinions and favoritism, relapses and people leaving are common as this is not a place to feel acceptance or support on the owners end. He deliberately disobeyed the directors order and let this happen causing major financial issues back home. I have this conversation recorded to him admitting he disobeyed what was told. I also have the audio file of the director admitting the exact same thing. I contacted there HR department with nothing in return saying it was handled or taking care of. This is supposed to be a family place to help out the client. What help are you giving off you make things worse so when your significant other gets back home? They are walking back into a worse situation then when they left. This is not a family place only the client. You get no support on how to help them but they will make it worse. They are there for the money and nothing else from what I can see.

Reading the comments brings me back with my mom was…read morethere a few yrs back, at first when we entered the place I was like: Wow! this is like the Ritz Carlton of Rehabs! the building and grounds were really nice... but then reality hit! Here are some of the things that happened: Staff just didn't care, from nurses to those amazing lady aids, 99% were like that. They would leave my mom in her room the whole morning with windows closed if I didn't come by and check on her. Then she would missed her PT appointment until the next morning... and so on. So what was the point in being there?? They would leave her in her regular clothes until close to 10pm and if I wasn't there until the next morning. You had to be on top of them with meds.... or they would not give them to her. One time the ambulance had to come and take my mom to the ER because the feeding tube had felt, so they said...but I was pretty sure while changing her and being rough they pulled it....BUT NEVER CALLED ME to tell me what was going on!!! Until I happened to call and found out where my mom was!!!! and this are a few things that I now remember. After the first night I would stay with my mom until 11pm when she was set to go to sleep and I would come back the next morning around 830am/9am to make sure somebody would come and get her ready for PT on time. I would leave her for 2 hrs and quickly come back and check on her thru our the day/nt. They didn't like me being there so much BUT I didn't care! I was my mom's voice! or I knew this was not going to go well. PT was great! that I have to say. Thank God for them, they did their best to help her. (hopefully they are still good!!!) I could go on and on...but I think this is good for now and you will get the big picture. My advise: Never leave your love ones alone and if you do... come in an out. If you are far.... I feel bad for your love ones.

The second time I had a hip implant. I was delivered there late evening and felt I had entered hells cauldron. 4 women handled me roughly and when I screamed for pain they threatened me with a fist. I was afraid. My stay there was equivalent to a 0 from 1-10 sanetary care was deplorable. food was mediocre. general atmosphere intimidating.
