Constantine and Stuart were both great and very knowledgeable about furs! They added loops and a button to my fur coat. The turnaround time was quick and was able to get it in about 10 minutes. Their seamstress was working in the back and everything is done in house. They also make great fur coats and I had a chance to browse while I was waiting for my loops and button to be done. I asked Stuart at Corniche Furs if they would be able to alter my mink coat that had become too large in width. Magically within twenty minutes the staff tailor was able to fit me and move three eye closures and add a button and elastic loop at the neck; now my mink fits me perfectly again! I'm ready for those below freezing NYC winters. Beautiful showroom. I have never seen such an outstanding collection of contemporary mink coats and jackets. I went to this store to ask for a quote on a fur vest that was ripped. I must say the owner was incredibly rude right off the bat and made me feel very uncomfortable. I am not a fur connoisseur but he informed me that my vest was "cheap" ($690 retail, Yves Solomon, rabbit fur knit) and that I should just get over it, basically. I asked how much for him to repair, and he said $75-80. For such a cheap piece, that seems a bit pricey for a few stitches, no? I thanked him and left. Went to Kaufman right down the street, he said give me a few minutes. He stitched it beautifully and was nice enough to charge me NOTHING. So happy that I at least knew better in getting a second opinion. Long story short, don't go here unless you have money and you're willing to spend it. Definitely don't go for repairs. read more

I needed to store a coat in NYC which can get pricey -- but I called up corniche furs and they showed up the same day for a free Pickup! Now thats service you can't beat. They even store the coats in a climate controlled room. It was extremely cheap to store my coat for the season. Will be coming back for sure. read more

I was recommended to corniche furs by my coworker and I must say it's been the best experience ever! I had three antique vintage coats from my family and all needed repairs and cleaning. One was a very fragile mink coat that they restored and re-enforced all the skins beautifully! They also did an impeccable job repairing the hair loss of my blue fox coat! Definitely impressed with their expertise and will definitely be seeing them again for the storage and cleaning/repairs of any of my coats. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! read more

I was very impressed by how professional they were. I went to have a fur coat altered and thye quote a price of $1,000 but advised me NOT to do it as I did not like the fur of the original coat. I would have paid the money and not been satisfied as what I really do not like about my coat ( great quality but not my style) is the fur itself. Customer service here is terrible. Especially the lady at the front desk who buzzes you in. She has a terrible attitude problem. Why work at the front desk if you don't know how to deal with customers nicely? The first time I came to this shop, I explained to them regarding a repair for my coat. I spoke with Stuart at the time and he gave me some input on how it can be fixed and that it would cost me $300. I left the shop the first time thinking that it seemed costly to repair it BUT, because I did want to salvage my coat, I ended up coming back to get the work done. When I came the second time around, the front desk lady had so much attitude and said "I told you Stuart isn't in for the next few weeks" in which I replied, "I understand, I'm open to any fur specialists helping me here since I'd love to get my fur coat fixed sooner. She replied "No one else can help you here" when I clearly saw other employees helping other customers. I kept waiting around for more guidance and what they ended up coming back to me with was that they didn't want to do the job of working on my coat because it is too old and quoted me $350 instead of their original price $300. I ended up going to another fur shop nearby in which they were HAPPY to do the work and only quoted me $200. This shop is overpriced and customer service is terrible. There are many other fur shops that have very great service and willingness to do the job happily than here. read more

My experience here was outstanding. I brought a fur scarf in which I had gotten in Iceland 3 years ago. The pompom had not only fallen apart but it detached from the main body of the scarf. I brought it in, and they fixed it for free for me!! And it took less than 10 minutes! It's located right near Penn Station (midtown) which also made it super easy to get to. Recently bought a second mink from Corniche. I came with an idea for a 3/4 stroller and, after trying a few coats and not liking anything, they brought out pelts which were the perfect color for my skin. That day they took measurements and a few weeks later I tried on my original coat for final fit. They made sure the pockets were perfectly placed and hooks where I wanted them...following week I slipped on my beautiful coat. I get compliments everywhere! Love, love the coat. read more

This is the second year I have my coat stored with them. They have great customer service. They picked up and dropped off your coat during change of season. Super fast customer service. I've also been to their space myself to check before I store my coat with them. State of the art facility. Definitely recommend coat storage. Did I mention it's cheap too? Having inherited furs from relatives, I was at a loss on how to store them and what to do with them. I called Corniche Furs and they were so helpful and knowledgeable on the phone. I didn't feel rushed or pressured to buy any of their services. They truly took their time explaining their company and answering my questions. I ended up going with their storage service, and they showed up in a Mercedes Sprinter van for the pick up! I read about Corniche Furs on Yelp and went there to have 3 toggle latches on my fur coat repaired, partly due to the multiple comments about reasonable pricing. The shop was very elegant, and they were going to repair the latches on the spot with a 20-minute wait. However, the pricing was outrageous! They wanted to charge me $200 to replace 3 latches in 20 minutes. which equates to $600 an hour! I was astounded, elected to call a few other shops in the area, and found another shop a few blocks away that only charged $50. So, I'm sure their work would have been fine, and the shop itself was very elegant, but the pricing for a repair was not reasonable. read more

We did not have an appointment , but the owner was very happy to help us. Their selection is amazing. The owner was very helpful and picked all the right pieces out for me to try on once I gave him my specifications. I ended up buying a stunning mink coat and a cape with fur trim. I purchased a wonderful warm mink coat just in time for the cold New York winter. The salesman Constantine was extremely helpful in helping me find the perfect style. I got a mahogany mink stroller. It has a high collar which is great because I don't have to wear a scarf with it. Corniche has great service at a great price. I recommend it highly! I will be back again! Amazing customer service here. I went in a little after 8am with a small tear to the shoulder of my fur coat. I had the best experience at Corniche Furs. My fur journey began in the middle of October when I decided that I wanted a fur vest. After shopping at all the mall stores I became discouraged with the selection. My mom then reminded me that she had a fox bomber from almost 29 years ago that she would be more than happy to pass down. I did plenty of research online trying to find a furrier that would re-make my mom's dated fox in a fabulous vest and came across Corniche. They were close to Penn Station and had outstanding reviews so I called up and made an appt with Dino, one of the owners, for the next available Saturday. My mom and I met with Dino who took a look at her old fur and told us that because it was so old and wasn't kept in cold storage we could do little to make this into a modern vest that I wanted. So we went with plan B- an entirely NEW vest. Dino worked with us for several hours trying on many different styles and then after choosing the style and picking the fur that would be the best. He explained the difference between his furs and the furs in department stores and I was happy to hear that his furs were 100% American bred. Even though I wanted to walk out of the store with my fur, it was too big and the designer had to make it to my specifications. In a quick 2 week turn around Dino called me and my vest was ready to be picked up!! I was so excited. Upon pick up Dino gave me the over view on how to care for the vest and when to call Corniche for cold storage in the summer (cold storage is also on premise which is another HUGE plus). The vest is amazing and I am so happy that I worked with such a talented, knowledgeable furrier (Dino and Stuart are equally as good!).
