My boss and I were heading out for a conference. I found Cornwall Coffee on Yelp and knew it was the perfect way to kick off the trip. The decor is awesome, such a cool vibe. The gentleman working the counter has the passion for coffee! He recommended the Italiano, which features espresso made with their unique manual machine. I liked it more than the typical Americano, it was a bit more well rounded and robust. The people of Cornwall are lucky to have this shop in town! read more

THERE'S NO TOILET!!!!!!!!! What a freaking outrage!!!! We were there after 4pm. The young and very kind employee explained there was no toilet available but we could go to the bookstore and use theirs. He very kindly checked for us but the bookstore was closed. He sent us down the street to the pharmacy; and only because I behaved politely aggressively were my husband and I able to use their toilet due to their kind generosity which I suspect is not always the case. This is a dramatically, insane OUTRAGE!!!!! My understanding is any location serving food is legally required to have a toilet. Why on this earth do people have to beg for a toilet??????? Do the proprietors not have to alleviate their natural functions????? Is it so freaking difficult to understand??????? Don't bother with this place. It's completely NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!! read more

Cute coffee shop that would fit right in in Brooklyn - including the prices. We tried two of the seasonal coffee drinks, one hot (orange mocha) and one cold (horchata). Both were really good. They had pastries as well, and we opted for an apple danish and a pain au chocolate; both were great. They also sell an eclectic mix of...stuff? Gentlemen's hats, watches, fancy shaving supplies by Italian brand Proraso, hot sauce, smoked salts and sugars. The most interesting? Axes, hatchets, and kitchen knives. Oh, and they do knife sharpening too. I wish I had brought my chef's knife! Seating inside is limited, especially if someone sits in the middle of a couch instead of the end. Literally THE best Coffee Drinks in the area. I usually order off of their special menu they leave on a little chalkboard out front. This location is on a quiet and adorable Main Street in Cornwall, there are tables outside for sipping during nice weather. Inside there is also some seating, a couch, and a little coffee bar that faces the window with stools. The guys working in here are fabulous, all so very friendly and down to earth. They know what is vegan and what isn't. I'm happy they finally got a Barista-style oat milk, which avoids the watery coffee drinks of some other oat milks carried in the past. Now the oat drinks are creamy and delicious! At about 6 to 7 bucks a coffee drink - it's pricey but well worth it! Their Ices Teas and Lemonades are a delight as well! read more

Good strong coffee with perfect Italian foam. (The foam uses agave in lieu of sugar) The place is quaint and small with 2 outdoor seating and about 3 indoor seating. The chocolate croissant was nicely warmed up so the chocolate was perfectly oozy and the croissant was soft and TL the flaky side. They could work on adding an easily accessible bathroom for the public. The baristas were friendly. Great place to swing by for an afternoon pick me up. Will be back again. read more

Each time I come in I am greeted warmly by the gentlemen behind the counter (I found out today he is the manager). We talk drinks, coffees I have had, roasts on hand, and the tasty baked goods. I have consistently had such excellent coffee and cocoa I start craving it on a cold afternoon. My goal is to make it thru their delicious and unique menu (next time pistachio latte). The service was sub-par, always a couple lackluster dudes behind the counter, and half the time they don't get the order right. They don't seem to know the difference between an au lait and a regular drip coffee. Last time I was in there I got a cup full of foamed milk and had to pour it out. They get their pastries from Balthazar Bakery fresh every morning which are amazing every time I get them!! CCM is a lovely asset to downtown Cornwall. Beautifully decorated period style interior with a spectacular zinc tile ceiling and two equally spectacular espresso machines the small space has room for a few inside tables and artisanal mercantile items in every nook and cranny. The shop has a great vibe to it - the guys behind the counter seemed to know the other customers and came across very warm. While we were waiting, my wife and I browsed other things they had for sale - it seemed like a great selection and very upscale while still casual and homey. Before long, I was shocked to have my name called out - one of the guys behind the counter was a former coworker of mine! Jorge and I worked together in a gym in NYC before the pandemic. The best coffee in the Hudson Valley, no question about it! Their cold brew is sooo smooth and mellow. Their daily specials are also a lot of fun to try whether it is coffee, tea or even Meyer lemonade. I must add that the cold foam they make is rich and luxurious, this is nothing like the stuff you'd get at Starbucks, it is buttery in texture and very full-bodied. Also, they flavor it to accentuate the drink (Milano Italian Chocolate, roasted hazelnut, tiramisu). The whole staff are super friendly and knowledgeable.
