Came here to warm up and grab some coffee and had a pleasant experience. A good selection of coffees, teas and beers at a reasonable price. I ordered a maple syrup latte and I love that that used pure maple syrup over a shot of flavoring. Service was very friendly and quick and the place had a very nice ambiance. Worst tasting cup of coffee I got a cold brew- tasted horrible thought it was just the blueberry syrup I added making it taste like nail polish. Then my husband and mom said there's was awful as well (drip coffee and an americano). Way too bitter. The lady at the register was rude as well. Only upside was it was pretty cheap. Cuteeeee little (but not so little) cafe right near the train tracks (get it, Trax??) serving up very good lattes. This was my second time in Beacon and my second trip to Trax. Coffee was lukewarm. Maybe that was my bad for ordering just a coffee and not a latte or espresso but it's a coffee shop so... Coffee flavor was nice tho so we got that going for us. Trax was an awesome experience. The woman who helped us was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They had many vegan and dairy free options. I went with the pineapple smoothie and honestly I think this was one of the best smoothies I've ever had since I've been dairy free. My sister is doing a keto diet and while they did not have any milk options that were completely sugar free, the woman who helped us knew exactly which milk had the lowest sugar amount off the top of her head. Keep in mind that this place is cash only for small orders so if you are just grabbing a coffee, be sure to have some spare change! read more

Trax was a really cool location with seating right on the train tracks in front of the location I came to hike Mount Beacon from NYC and after the hike we visited town and needed some coffee and found ourselves here. The coffee was nothing spectacular but got the job done. I was though surprised to see the staff prepare the drinks without a mask and for that reason it is at 2 stars combined with the price not being worth the taste. I got the mocha and my friend got a black hot coffee with almond milk If I were to come back to this town, I'd definitely go somewhere else read more

I'm not a coffee drinker (I'm crazy lol) but I do drink hot cocoa and it was good from here. My husband on the other hand loved his coffee or whatever it was he got. It was a nice place and wish we actually sat down but my son was being a cranky pants and wanted to see how it felt to lay on the floor instead :P fast service and good drinks so we could be out the door with our cranky boy. read more

I love a coffee shop with a chill vibe.They roast their own coffee (supposedly) and the employees seem like interesting people in rock bands with Portuguese lovers who sing and paint. Or something like that. They have a pretty wide assortment of pretty good pastries and the coffee was also just pretty good and yet, all of those combined factors, somehow lead to a better than average overall coffee shop experience. I love Trax - it's become a weekend stop for me almost every Saturday or Sunday. Really good drinks and a great atmosphere. The also have a fantastic staff in both their Beacon & Fishkill locations. Highly recommend for the avid coffee drinkers or if you're looking for a cool spot to chill on a Saturday morning. I love their iced mocha lattes. Trax is a cut above the Dunkins and Starbucks of the world. Try something different. read more

Pleasant hipster-ish spot to grab coffee and pastries. They do a decent hot chocolate too. $10 min on credit card transactions which I didn't mind considering they're a local joint. We came in the middle of winter and it was nice and toasty inside, about a dozen seating areas/small tables/bar stool areas for friends chatting, students studying or freelancers working. Exposed brick walls,super high ceilings, wide and high-lanes windows let in plenty of natural light. Would enjoy an afternoon here with a book if I was in the area again. read more

LOVE this place, all of their coffee is super yummy. They have smoothies, tons of delicious teas, and they even have beer. They always have some sweet treats available and sometimes even some pre-made sandwiches/wraps in the cooler next to the cold drinks. It's also a nice place to do work, they have a good amount of places to sit and the view next to the train tracks is cute. Lots of sunlight comes in. read more

Actually had tracks at the farmers market. The guy was super cool had a lot of knowledge and even allowed me to take coffee bags for free. The coffee was just how I like it. There's a lot of coffee shops in this area but I highly recommend you check out Trax. read more

Nope. Nope. Nope. My husband and I frequently visit the Beacon area. We thought we would give this new coffee place a shot. Regrets! We walked in and instantly wanted to leave. The environment felt very stale and sterile. We sucked it up and ordered. The "barista" was beyond bored and unenthused. We tried to lighten the mood and couldn't crack a smile from the guy. The order was satisfactory: beer and turmeric latte (I'm sure the coffee is extraordinary). The bathroom: gross. Isn't this place Newish??? Why does the bathroom look grimy like it's been around since the 80s? Next time we will stick to our fav, Bank Square. BSQ is hands down the best: coffee (&others), atmosphere, hospitality. Amazing! A sister location of Bank Square Coffeehouse up the road. Just as great with a cozy interior. Plenty of space to unwind and get some work done with large tables, outlets, etc. So nice to be able to alternate between Trax & Bank Square when stopping to do homework. Wonderful coffee shop. We were able to walk to Trax from our air bnb in Beacon. We were there on a Saturday morning, around 8:30am. I grabbed a kombucha and an Americano, which were both delicious. I got a muffin, and was informed they don't have a microwave... which kind of sucks if you are eating there. They have a toaster that the public can use. Again, a pet peeve of mine - if you are a cafe i.e. have tables, chairs, plates, etc. then why make customers eat cold pastries? Just saying. My husband's coffee was fine. Muffin was good. It was a bit sterile in there, and the barista was not terribly friendly. With other options around, I'd prob only stop in Trax for a to-go espresso drink. read more

Great coffee, ( I tried their third rail espresso) in my cortado and cappuccino, it was delicious. The space is pleasant, industrial chic aesthetic and spacious. I find it perfect for working/ inspiration as it's overlooks the train tracks/some of the shops and mount beacon! The parking lot didn't distract the view for me at all. I wanted to love this place so bad. Mostly because unlike my favorite (Bank Square) it's a nice 8 minute walk from me. No, just no. The service is awful. Or maybe is just that ONE guy. But honestly dude.. if someone is asking if you could kindly label the coffees..perhaps they aren't buying it for themselves so your "you'll know which is which when you taste it" answer is just rude. I realize the owners are the same as Bank Sq but the staff couldn't be more different. I keep wanting to give this place a chance but 8/10 times.. the service sucks. There are just so many nice and tasty coffeehouses along Mainstreet where the employees are decent to have to constantly encounter rude service. Do better. read more

I think this is my new coffee/espresso shop when I'm over in the Beacon area. I've had many different orders at Trax in the past few months - lattes, cappuccinos, cortado, chai tea (latte style, too!) and just plain old iced coffee a few times and each time, I happily sip my delicious beverage mumbling "Ummmm..." to myself! The beans that are used seem to be of high-quality and properly roasted for each beverage selection that I've made. The ambiance is very rustic, airy and contemporary at the same time, staff is always on-par in their knowledge of how to properly prepare the wide variety of beverages available, and they're usually very friendly as well. I say "usually"because some of the staff have been exemplary in their amiableness and others have been just OK (never rude, though). read more

Not only is it the best coffee in Beacon, but it's the best coffee in the Hudson Valley. Kurt, their manager, roasts in micro batches right in town and everything he does is amazing. I recommend the Ethiopian for a pour over or the Kyoto iced coffee if it's Brazilian Peaberry. Their individually steeped iced teas are delicious as well, and they're always stocked with Bread Alone pastries. The location is cool and the space has high ceilings and tons of natural light for a great vibe. Good spot to get work done or just relax with some friends. AND NOW THEY HAVE BEER! read more

To be honest, we came here to use the bathroom!Of course we ordered drinks too. Seriously - after hiking Mt. Beacon, the bagel place we had lunch didn't have public bathroom and we were advised to come here. Thank you, Trax!!!! Anyhow... "Kyoto Iced coffee" caught my eyes on the menu board. I had to look up later what makes Kyoto coffee (different way of brewing coffee). The offer has strong flavor even with melting ice and I tasted minimum acidity to my like. Their social distanced tables are inside and outside the shop. It's located right next to the stream. You can enjoy your coffee in the nature. I wish I could come here with my book and relax. read more

Getting a coffee in Beacon has never been easier. Trax has the same great atmosphere, service and coffee as Bank Square. New, clean and cozy dining room has great spots to sit and enjoy an espresso while working or talking with friends. The service is great for a quick in and out on the way to work. The espresso and coffee is exactly what to expect from the team of Bank Square. Awesome espresso and coffee! My only go to coffee shop in Beacon (besides Bank Square, which is the same owners). The owners are super friendly and so are the baristas. Plus they roast their own coffee beans, I recommend the No Sleep Til Beacon drip coffee. read more

The ham and cheese were so savory and extra crispy. The blueberry custard was full of plump, sweet blueberries and a just sweet enough custard. Can't wait for my next trip!

My daughter enjoys lounging while we wait. I've sampled many menu items, but the Blacc Vanilla breakfast sandwich remains my favorite. If you find yourself in the area, put this place on your to-do list and enjoy the ambiance and people.

I tried to burn it for just 10 or 15 minutes. Unfortunately, the pistachio halva that we purchased, was past its "Best Buy" date of December 31, 2023. we did not notice this at the time of the purchase. The result a pooling of oil at the bottom of the container which detracted from the flavor. In addition, I'm not sure if the proprietor was aware, but the packaging does state that it's best to keep refrigerated. In their defense, I did not call them once I recognize this. I'm sure they would have offered to replace the item. All in all, we still have fond memories of our daughter mother day out, and would return again

This dynamic duo of business besties owns this amazing tea shop that came to Beacon about 3 years ago straight from NYC. *** founded 2008!*** Love the tea culture in this shop, totally makes you want to love tea even more. This shop is all about tea, educational and wellness benefits. All of their teas are loose leaf and organic with high quality ingredients sourced from all over. Best part? You can take home their tea containers with loose leaf tea. Excited to give this SereniTEA a try! You can even purchase tea strainers, tea pots, baked goods and other amazing goodies while you're here. As soon as you walk into this tea shop the vibes are so calming and cozy. Love the seats by the windows where you can people watch, do some work, relax, read a book or catch up with a friend. The monstera section is my fave, totally makes the vibes with the exposed brick and cozy concrete.

If you are stopping in but want to mix up your typical Thai tea order, boy do I have the hot tip for you: Pink Milk. Love Thai tea with all my heart but wasn't craving the condensed milk. The pink milk was an impulse order but after taking a couple sips I realized what it was - rosewater milk! It is super popular in Cyprus (where my fam is from) and I really have never had it anywhere else so it was so fun accidentally stumbling upon it out in the wild at a Thai cafe. The rest of the menu looked just as tempting, and the mango sticky rice was really calling my name. But I'll save it for my next trip in.
