They completed a throughout inspection of my AC Unit that was working extra hard to maintain moderate temperatures. They identified a couple of causes for the issue. They were able to fix the two problems accurately and in a timely manner. Couldn't recommend Bob Jenson, and specifically Brian and Luis enough for anyone facing AC unit issues.

The first mini split condenser was fried and had signs of a leak. It was over 10 years old. He called Conor, a supervisor, to talk to us about a new unit. We thought given how busy everyone is that it would be weeks before we could get the split replaced. Conor was able to get to our house in about 30 minutes. Sage serviced the second split while Conor was in route. When Conor arrived he went through the options. We needed something soon with the heat we are experiencing. They carry Mitsubishi mini splits. They had a slot for Tuesday 7/21. We had done our research, so we were comfortable acting quickly. Both Conor and Sage listened to our concerns and made us feel like we were in good hands. For the day of installation Jorge and Aaron showed up on time. They were able to remove the old split and install the new one by midafternoon. Very efficient and respectful. They checked the system out, asked if we had any question or concerns. We have a 115-year-old home, and they were careful in our old home. Our experience with Bob Jensen Heating and Air was outstanding, and I do not say that lightly. Sage, Conor, Jorge and Aaron were great. We would highly recommend Bob Jenson to family, friends and neighbors, without a doubt. We ill add that they have 24/7/365 emergency service.

Howie's charged slightly more, but FIXED the source of the leak, and then recharged it for us. Very informative of the process, provided a photo of the improperly installed flares in the attic, and got it working as good as new! I highly recommend them! And friendly as well! Well done Bronson and John!

John did a fantastic job installing my condensate drain pan and he earned my trust. From start to…read morefinish, he was genuine, positive, honest, and went the extra mile without any high-pressure sales tactics. He scheduled a calendar invite for the next day when I initially reached out and avoided tedious back and forth. When he came for the initial quote, he brought the right size ladder when I told him I had taller ceilings and actually went up to check the unit and go into the attic vs just peek at it from a distance. He even let me climb up to see what he was looking at. While inspecting, he noticed my air filters were very dirty. He pulled them out, had me rinse them in the sink, and put them back in for me. When he came back to install the condensate drain pan underneath my HVAC unit, he showed up early and finished well ahead of schedule. He quoted me a very reasonable price and it actually ended up being lower than the original quote. After the installation, he ran a diagnostic on my HVAC unit to estimate its remaining lifespan. While doing this, he replaced the insulation around the suction line for better efficiency at no extra cost. He also checked that all pipes were properly glued to ease a concern I had. He even used a Magic Eraser to clean up scuffs on the attic ceiling, demonstrating his attention to detail. I felt at ease in John's presence and felt taken care of. I would recommend him for quality work, fair pricing, and honesty.

They arrived on time, were professional, personable, and took the time to thoroughly inspect our old system and explain why our AC was leaking. They installed our new HVAC system with great attention to detail and made sure everything was done right. Nick and Marco were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely easy to work with. It's clear they take pride in their work and care about their customers. We couldn't be happier with the experience and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy HVAC company.

We hired Paulson in San Diego to replace a 3-ton compressor for our Bankers Hill condo, trusting…read moretheir status as a (former) HOA-preferred vendor. Instead, they installed an undersized 2.5-ton unit without performing a standard heat load calculation. The Technical Failure: For months, our system failed to cool. Paulson's technicians repeatedly blamed our ducting--which had never been an issue--rather than admitting the unit was undersized. The error was officially documented during our home sale when the unit failed inspection. The HOA's new preferred HVAC vendor confirmed the mismatch, leaving us to deal with the fallout during escrow. The Customer Service Experience: Dishonesty: When presented with a professional load calculation, management dismissed it, claiming I had simply "plugged it into the internet" rather than acknowledging the data from a licensed contractor. Zero Accountability: Management refused a refund, hiding behind "you signed the contract" to avoid taking responsibility for their own sizing error. The Financial Impact: This negligence cost over $8,000 for the initial mismatched installation, plus several thousand more for a correct replacement required to close the sale. There is a reason the Laurel Bay HOA in Bankers Hill no longer contracts with this company. It takes more than one bad job to lose HOA-preferred vendor status. Save yourself the $8k+ nightmare and hire a firm that performs industry-standard tests before installing equipment. Do not trust their "judgment" over actual data.
