NASCAR SAN DIEGO 2026 (3 stars)…read more SUNDAY. Reserved Seats at T3 (per ticket ~$300) - Experience: cool - Food: not very good - Seats: stunning - Excitement Level: meh :: SECURITY :: People complaining about how the policies were different when compared to other NASCAR events. It's an ACTIVE military base of course it's going to be more strict. Lots of security EVERYWHERE - police, security, service wo/men, DEA (with open carry bug guns), snipers, etc. :: LOGISTICS :: Went on Sunday, the main event for the 250 Audril Race. Everyone heard Saturday was a hotness with traffic, food and water were running out, big clusterf*. In prep, everyone had plan to take ferries on Sunday. Not very bright! 30k+ people riding 2 ferries every 30m and then a mile on your own to get to base?! We were downtown at 8:15AM and saw zero traffic in the bridge but heard of long lines at the ferries. Took an Uber (10m), got dropped off infront of base and in line by 8:30AM, line started moving at 8:45a (gates open at 9) in by 9:01am. Coming home... of just crossing that bridge, different story. A lot of people left early to not deal with it, a lot of people stayed late to not deal with it. Uber took awhile to get because the driver cancels the ride and you had to walk away from base to lessen the traffic. :: LAYOUT :: Yellow zone, Green Zone, Red Zone. The reserved seats were in Yellow Zone. Those with general admission could walk around but could not go into Reserve seating areas. Each zone was open to GA but each zone also has sections of Reserved Seating. Green Zone is where there were so many people because it's open to GA and those with Reserve Seating - it's the start/finish line, many vendors, store, beer garden. My reserved Seats weee at T3 aka The Carrier Corner which was quite a site to see! Big naval carrier with sailors on it and behind is downtown. :: EXPERIENCE :: The crowd was definitely not locals. Many mid-west and south people with accents. Hardcore NASCAR followers who love the sport. The only time I found this exciting was 1) when it started 2) when there was a crash or spinout 3) the end. All those hours getting a 5 second glimpse of the racers about ~30x was boring. You literally have to be a fan of a racer to enjoy the sport - I chose an underdog and saw some ahead moments which was exciting but after that, not my cup of tea. Honestly, went because why not it was the first ever NASCAR in SAN DIEGO and on an ACTIVE military base. Not sure if I'll go again.

We have no dogs and never have had. Service has been off and on since July. Haven't received mail delivered in over a month. Tried calling. Absolutely no answer. We have had packages returned to sender as not picked up when we have never seen them delivered. We went into the PO to discuss with postmaster twice. Very rude and yelled at us and when we yelled back about his rude tone he said he was calling the police. We are super senior and in 30 years have never had an issue like this. He needs to be fired asap. refused to give us his name. still not getting our mail delivered.

Honestly, a beautifullll library. The architecture is gorgeous and has so much character. Each…read moresection of the library feels like a different, immersive space. Very intentionally designed! It's a pretty spacious library with plenty of seating, but it gets crowded fast. I think it was a combination of things. We went in the late afternoon after school had been let out, so a good amount of kids and teens were there. Compared to other libraries in SD county, this branch had the most displaced people I have seen so far. It was really difficult trying to find an extended spot to study/work for a small party of 2. The staff here was also quite standoffish. When I went up to the desks to ask a question, they barely looked up from their screens and gave me one-word answers. :(

Of course, this library has a tremendous amount of resources and the staff to help. But as visitors, we like the used book sale department. This is an opportunity to buy inexpensive, interesting books that you can still "turn a page". They have a very quiet reading room and the area around the library has many shade trees that offers many reading spots as well. While a library is old school, it's certainly a cool school.

She was incredible in a tough moment for me on the side of the road not knowing exactly what to do. Officer Rudes advice the time she took and didn't have to made an incredible difference in how things turned out (she even protected me from being scammed by a mobile tire service!!) The conversation while waiting for help with her was fantastic I learned plenty and her professionalism kindness and knowledge it would be a crime! Not to point out. Thank you officer Priscilla Rude can't say enough great things about you.

Hall of Duty…read more Diminutive City Hall with a nice view of the bay that's literally just feet from the back door. This current iteration of Coronado's City Hall has been in use since 2005 and serves mainly as a place for residents/contractors/builders to obtain permits and the like. We just ambled in for a few minutes to kill time and escape the insufferable humidity while we waited for the restaurant nearby to open. It was a good happenstance that we did enter because we were able to find out about their free summer shuttles that Cornado offers. It's not the most beautiful or architecturally stunning building you'll come across, but it gets the job done, I suppose.
