postmaster is extremely rude. The carrier refused to deliver mail because we have a barking dog. Then because we have a gate. The same gate we have had for over 30 years. We have no dogs and never have had. Service has been off and on since July. Haven't received mail delivered in over a month. Tried calling. Absolutely no answer. We have had packages returned to sender as not picked up when we have never seen them delivered. We went into the PO to discuss with postmaster twice. Very rude and yelled at us and when we yelled back about his rude tone he said he was calling the police. We are super senior and in 30 years have never had an issue like this. absolutely the most poorly run post office. Our female mail carrier keeps delivering HOLD mail over and over. The postmaster won't do a thing. He knows she's not capable of doing her job. Went in early to try and have a few wedding invitations hand canceled so they would not be damaged. When I approached the counter and requested hand canceling for my wedding invitations, I was met with confusion and a complete lack of understanding. The lady said that was not a thing and they couldn't do it. I mentioned to them that it had been done at another post post office, she looked over to the lady next to her who was on her phone and looked like she could care less and knew less if that's possible. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment by finding a post office that actually understands the services it claims to offer. read more

This is a bare bones post office. There are no automated machines to purchase stamps nor postage. There are drop sizes outside of the building. Numerous PO Boxes within. Parking is relatively easy with spots right out front but during the summer you'll find yourself circling like vulture looking for a spot. read more

This office keeps deliver mail to old address that should be forwarded to new. After 6 calls, 4 weeks, they even sent a carrier out to retreive junk they delivered yet one carrier in particular is now still delivering. Why is this so difficult? There needs to be a change in mgmt at this branch as they also avoid answering their phone, picking it up without answering yo disconnect the ring. read more

I live in Ensenada, MX and employ a Mail Service so I can have an American Address.....for some reason, Every company except EBAY fails to add my PO # to the package necessitating me to have to call and bother these polite, hard working Post Office employees. They have 3000 po #'s here. So in 4 months I have had 4-5 mis-addressed packages and when I call Angel or Al, ...they stop what they are doing and kindly and politely help me everytime. I went to pick up my mail. The lady at the counter was helpful. She sent them sent me around to the side to pick up my mail from Sean. He was completely disrespectful, and refused to give me my mail. I tried all questions to understand why I couldn't get my mail, and refused to answer them and just continued to say he wouldn't give me my mail. Be tried to black mail me for money to get my mail. A huge thank you to Agustin at the Coronado Post Office! Having to work remote left me no other option but to send over 120 t-shirts via USPS. I literally came in with a 40"rolling duffel bag and an extra large box. Agustin was very friendly and even helped when a couple of my zip codes were wrong. Never new we had a post office down the road. I knew about the postal annex because it was right next to the Walgreens i go to. This post office needs more personnel behind the desk due to the long lines that accumulates because there's more customers than they can handle. I stood in line for about 15 minutes before i was attended to. The customer service was great but the long wait isn't worth it. Next time ,i will leave my package in the blue huge mail box outside the building for droppffs. read more

They always do a great job and work real hard. It's usually the same three or four employees I see. Sometimes things take long and you stand in line but it's not their fault that some people haven't written addresses, etc prior to the counter. I have a po box here too and they always are kind and get the packages to me through the window. It would be cool if they got the automatic machine for handling priority mail packages though. read more

This is a very small post office branch. Sometimes I wait a few minutes longer to mail my items because everyone seems to know each other here. Its nestled away in a neighborhood on the island. Usually there's at least 2 staff members on duty to manage the customers waiting in line. Sometimes the line will go out to the front door. But I guess its a norm here since I seem to be the only one bothered by it at times. Plenty of materials to mail your items. Packaged envelopes, boxes, tape, and labels. read more

I sell online and ship out often but rarely go to this location. It's near my work so I started dropping off pre paid packages. They don't have a drop box for the packages which is disappointing . I waited in line to give the lady my packages. One of the packages was a return, and had an old label on it, I had marked out the label completely but it was still somewhat visible. I needed to use this large box since I didn't have another one to return in. The label was covered completely in tape so I couldn't remove it. The lady said I needed to remove it. I have returned these type of boxes w crossed out labels several times and never had an issue. I informed her I needed to get to work and the label was covered in tape and I didn't have any other tape to re do the package if needed. She did not care one bit. Rudely handed me some scissors. I sat there almost crying because I needed to get to work and saw no point in this. I had to cut all the tape off and then use my freshly done nails to scrap off the label. She just watched me suffer. I looked up and she was smiling. I am a polite person and always nice, not sure why she would be like this and enjoy my suffering. The other package I was sending out, I weighed before leaving my house, it was 3 oz. It was a very light weight pair of earrings I sold. Today, I get a message from the app I sold it on, the person who scanned it in put that these tiny stud earrings weighed 1 lb and I was charged $5 extra out of my earnings! When they clearly were not even close to that. This lady is a horrible person and I will be going in again shortly to get her name and report her. read more

My experience was, thankfully, a great one. After reading all of the negative-experienced reviews, I was naturally expecting long lines and subpar/horrid service. But this morning, the exact opposite happened: a nice older man opened the door for me; and as soon as I walked in, the USPS woman greeted me (I think) and asked me if I needed any help - which I did, for mailing off the CPA exam application with money can be a bit nerve-racking... I have had a PO box here for 9 months. When we PAID for the box, they did not file the paperwork properly. So for 9 months, we were getting mail at the whim of whomever was working that day. We continually get mail for the previous owner despite notifying the employees that the person does not own that box anymore. The last straw was when I had a package sent there, and they returned it before I could pick it up (within one business day), because we didn't properly "own" the box. One of the workers has serious attitude problems. Everything I go in there to get a package he has some shit to say about my packages. He continues to get mad at me when Amazon packages don't include my box number even when I tell Amazon the number. I love Coronado US Post Office. They are always helpful, if there is a line it moves quickly. I frequently have International parcels to mail and it is a pain for the staff to enter all that data ..... they are always so pleasant and helpful. This is the most poorly run post office I have ever been to. The employees are almost always rude and make it very clear that they'd rather be doing anything else other than helping customers, and this goes for the actual mailmen/women as well. The whole office is run inefficiently and the lines move way too slow to justify. I'd rather travel out of Coronado to another post office than have to go back here. read more

Worst customer service ever!!! The person I spoke to on the phone had such a bad attitude and he told me that he'll call me back, but he never did. He seemed like he didn't know what he was doing and he was giving off the vibe that he didn't like his job. When I went there to talk to them in person and pick up my package, they had no idea where it was and they just kept passing me around from one employee to another. This post office is horrible! I come here all the time & they are always rude. Last time I came this little old lady in front of me was asking the postman a question and he literally YELLED at her that whatever she was asking about they didn't do at this location and she had to go downtown. She asked how late the downtown location was open and he was mad at her for asking that. It was inappropriate and uncomfortable to watch. Also, they don't keep their forms and boxes well stocked so I usually have to make sure to plan well in advance to mail anything. read more

USPS Coronado provides the worst delivery service ever!!! they continually NOT deliver my parcels and claim they "Left at front door" well, I've yet to receive two (2) packages in the last MONTH! I submitted a claim on one of my packages informing them that my package was not delivered even though the carrier lied stating he left it at the door. I received an email from the "Claims Guy" asking if I had received it yet, I told him no, he then claimed he would research and get back to me, this was last month and nothing. I emailed him asking for status, he said he would get back to me again, nothing! Coronado USPS Carriers leave items at my apartment mail box leaving them accessible to passerby's. This place really is hit or miss. They do keep some pretty inconvenient hours though, but my guess is it's because it's Coronado (a retirement community). People (usually old) do hang out here and the service can move at a snail's pace. I've seen postal clerks leave on their breaks during peek visitation. Rarely have I seen ALL three stations fully manned. NO idea why this place is busy all the time, but it is. With their bankers' hours, it's best to make a plan to go here before 5:00pm. read more

We live in Coronado and this post office has consistently delivered my mail to the wrong address. On a few occasions our neighbors have brought our packages to us that were incorrectly delivered to them. We have parcel boxes where packages can be placed securely in by the mail carrier but Instead they just leave packages on our doorstep. We have had our mail go missing quite often because we live next to a bus stop where people sometimes choose to sit on our stoop while they wait for the bus. As obvious as this is the mail carriers are too lazy to put the packages in the secure parcel boxes and then the packages go missing. Our surveillance has proven this many times.
