We have used AAA Smog several times. They switched owners but they still offer the same great customer service as before. All the employees are knowledgeable. Corinna helped over the phone and with registration. The manager Sam helped as well. I was also helped by another female staff member who helped me with my smog I didn't catch her name. She was polite and had to explain to me that I had to drive 50 miles more to be qualified for the smog test. There was an extra fee for this. You have to pay for the smog and registration separately. You have to pay extra to get your registration here but to me it's worth it. You get it right away and don't have to wait for it in the mail.

Joey sent over the findings quickly and gave me his honest, upfront opinion on what needed immediate attention before my trip versus what maintenance could wait until I reached my destination. He also provided a clear copy of the inspection quotes so there were no surprises. In the end, they completed the full inspection, replaced the car battery, and fixed a coolant leak for around $550+ (including taxes). I definitely recommend this shop! I brought in my Honda Ridgeline for an issue with my AC. Jason worked with me at the front-desk and went above and beyond to understand my issue and the troubleshooting I had already done. He explained to me CONCISELY what the feasible issue may be, and how they were going to approach a diagnosis. Jason was extremely knowledgeable, and followed up promptly to discuss the fix. Pedro was also exceptional. He found the issue (rodent-chewed wires) and repaired it perfectly. When I picked up my car, he was as excited as I was to have helped me. Before Miramar Auto, I took my truck to the Honda dealer, and they charged twice as much for a diagnosis, only to tell me that I would need a new compressor (incorrect diagnosis) and that it would cost twice as much as I ended up paying out the door at Miramar auto. I couldn't believe how easy Miramar Auto made it. To say that Jason, Pedro, and Miramar Auto are honest, fair, and made me feel taken care of... would be an understatement. They have rightfully earned another lifelong customer. Thank you Miramar Auto!

These guys are amazing…read more I had a flat tire due to a nail. AAA had sent a guy from Angelo's towing company to put on my spare. The Angelo's technician couldn't figure out how to put my spare tire on, and he wouldn't patch my tire on site, so he just filled up the flat with air as well as my other tires. My spidey senses told me something wasn't right, so I immediately went to Los Reyes. The knowledgeable tech quickly removed the nail and patched my tire, and at a great price. I asked if he could also check the pressure in my other tires. When he did, he looked shocked... The towing guy had overfilled my tires to 58 PSI on each tire! I'm so thankful for Los Reyes for fixing my flat as well as fixing the pressure in my other tires. Thanks, guys! You're awesome!

I had to drive my car halfway off the base and then walk the rest of the way because it would've been an hour to get to town. Second of all, I want to point out that one of my officers, who is an extremely competent woman, was looked down on when she asked a question at this very location. I almost wrote a review for her alone, and then forgot about it. Then I happen to be opening up Escrow for a home and when I looked up places in Coronado that do money wiring, transfers, Postal Annex came up as one of the results. I quickly asked the woman with dark hair and glasses if they do wiring, and she rolled her eyes and said no. I laughed bashfully and said that was kind of rude. But inside, I wanted to yell at her so badly. In fact, I almost took a picture of her, but I don't want to ruin her full reputation. She may not have known about my hour trek just to get there and the four places that also didn't have money wiring where other people were polite about it, but she doesn't have to know that to have common decency. It is not right for any one in Customer Service to treat service members or anyone like they are stupid for asking a question. I really hope that whoever is in charge of these representatives can please sit down with these employees and tell them how to do Customer Service. I have worked in Customer Service since I was 16 and I would never treat anyone the way. The behavior was incredibly entitled for no reason and they ruin a lot of days for intelligent people new to the area, completely shutting down the art of curiosity and exploration. I would never attend this Postal Annex if my life depended on it anymore.

It was a tough starter change due to the location and having to remove the manifold ect. I know because ive done it once already and its a very complex repair. The parts cost more than anticipated due to the extra gaskets and coolant needed and he still honored the original quote. We gave him extra because of all the extra work he did. He topped off her break fluid, air in the tires, gave it a once over to make sure that it was tip top shape. Also gave my daughter an education on her car. Even took pictures of all the parts and video of it running smooth. As a father it puts me at ease knowing that I can call him in the future I wish I had mechanics like him closer to me. The check engine light was on so we couldn't smog it. Took it up our mechanic in Santee and they found a problem with the catalytic converter. They said one side was bad and recommended Hanson's to get it fixed. I called Hanson's and was able to get an appointment for the next day. While the car was there they found another problem that was an inexpensive fix. They were able to install the cat and make the other fix the same day. Overall I am very impressed with the work, service, and advice/direction I received from Hanson's.
