My review is based on the service... it was not good. I came in asking for money pieces and a calico under neath. The owners daughter did my hair, mostly.... It was supposed to be an estimated 3-4 hour appointment, hourly color correction is how she wanted to charge me. I was fine with that after our consultation and she explained why. So first part fine, I just sat there talking. But when she finishes rinsing the color and toner, I stared in the mirror and just as she was looking at it she got quiet. She started showing me and I just started crying. I was 3 hours into my appointment and my money pieces were yellow. The calico was supposed to be blonde, red, and brown. It was yellow, pink, and brown. She said she didn't know why the red didn't take. I had to walk out to collect myself. I came in a minute later and they offered to tone it more and add more red. Now we were past the 4 hours. She had other appointments coming in and I had to sit and wait in between customers. The owner (her mom) came and helped between but I ended up sitting there for 6 hours in total. My hair was still nothing like any of the photos. I just wanted to leave so I said that was fine. I didn't want to keep waiting between other clients because she didn't leave enough time to work on my hair. I never took photos of the final color result because I hated it so much, wish I did now. The stylist did take a photo to show me the back at the end of the appointment,but I never got one. But now about 5 weeks later I decided to get it fixed, and I was shocked! This new stylist asked who did my hair and where because the cut was so bad and jagged and absolutely chopped in the back. I obviously don't look at the back of my head very much so I had no idea. I walked around like this for weeks with not a clue. I paid HUNDREDS of dollars and even left a tip because I felt it was a genuine interaction. She just doesn't know how to do hair is really the only thing I can figure at this point. She did offer to fix it but she didn't say for free so I wasn't going to come back and pay more money when it was already a very bad experience. Why would I trust you to fix it? During the consultation I told them both I had a very bad experience with someone a few months prior and I was nervous to try another salon. I trusted them and they sounded confident... I don't know about the other stylists but I do not recommend the daughter to do cuts or color. (I forgot her name)

I've had both Rachael and Peyton cut my hair and I love both of them and the haircuts I get…read more They've always really listened to me and given me exactly what I asked for, and the times I haven't really known, they ask me this or that questions to figure it out. And especially with Peyton there have been times I told her to just do what she thought would look good and I've always been blown away and thrilled with the results. They also both excel at cutting wavy and curly hair--and making me feel good about my waves, rather than just straightening them out all the time. Most recently (July 2024) they did a balayage on my virgin hair. It was something they've both recommended to me for years, but that I was nervous about. Still, I wanted to try something new this summer and go lighter as I've always kind of wanted to go blonde. But I was worried about the color coming out too cool and clashing with my natural warm skin tone and freckles, so I asked for a golden, strawberry blonde. They got the color exactly right!!! I'm so happy with it and it looks really natural. Two months later, I'm still getting compliments on it at my job. For anyone wondering about the salon itself, it's very clean and has a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. They use Kevin Murphy products which are excellent. And personally, I love all the brick. 12/10 would recommend!

Bummer, she was sick yesterday, but I got to see Kate in a pinch! Either way, if you've known me long enough, I spend much more on hair than the average adult male. So I'm pretty particular and will not go back to a place that isn't doing what's trending and also doing a quality job. In Texas, I was fortunate enough to have the BEST lady for years and years, and have since been riding the struggle bus in Washington. **side note... wtf WA guys??? It's like a hip place for a men's haircut simply is not a thing here. Back to The Vault, they are (as the kids say) all slap and no cap . I'm legit ALWAYS the only guy in the whole place when I go. I still don't get that about the PNW, but whatever. If you are a guy and want a haircut that may or may not be decent scissor and clipper work, and is also not a style made popular within the past decade... then maybe this isn't for you. However, if you want something trendy and well done, and you are willing to spend a little dough to get it... go see literally anyone at The Vault. /JD out.

I wanted natural blending in with my undyed hair with low upkeep. I have natural red toward the ends of my hair and I asked if maybe she could match that so it would blend in, subtle. Renee understood the assignment and added dimension to my hair! She gave me a beautiful haircut with layers and a color that blends in with my natural hair. After not getting a haircut for almost 2 years, I felt so pampered and beautiful leaving the salon. I highly recommend Renee and I'll be back :)

The highlights she did are white bleach blonde which is so much lighter than my hair was previously. She was only supposed to do the roots. The highlights have weird stripes through them. It was an awful experience. I didn't want to make a scene because there was another customer there when she finished so I paid and left. I called to tell her I was very unhappy and it was not good. Sandy wanted me to pay to come back and fix her mistakes. I requested a refund, as I'm going to have to pay someone else to fix this, she very rudely said she would not refund. While I had been to Evergreen Beauty College Salon for a wax a million years ago, I had not taken advantage of much else. I found that they also offered student facials, which could be booked online, were an hour and 40$. While this was more than I was paying previously, the ability to book online and having better evening hours really worked for me. The room experience is pretty similar, they offer a lot of the same type of services and best of all you don't have to show your face to the teacher for inspection at the end of your session. I've been going semi regularly for awhile now, I've been satisfied with every service I have received. I've learned that you need to bring cash for a tip. I almost always opt for the customized facial. I tried the back microdermabrasion and I have a gel manicure scheduled for the future. I am starting to debate a face microdermabrasion or a chemical peel next. The price has gone up, a custom facial is now 50$, which is still reasonable, but I also now have some kind of paid membership card that gets me 20% off services making it 40$ and came with a free facial included in the cost. I'm a fan. I keep dreaming of checking out the Shoreline location, but their spa hours don't seem to include evenings. Do beware if you find someone you love they might not be there for long, but if you do try to book a follow up facial before you leave.
