Worst hair experience I have ever had. I tried her, as I am looking for a new hair place. The haircut is uneven and choppy. Sandy did "layers" that look like a chunky straight line of steps. The highlights she did are white bleach blonde which is so much lighter than my hair was previously. She was only supposed to do the roots. The highlights have weird stripes through them. It was an awful experience. I didn't want to make a scene because there was another customer there when she finished so I paid and left. I called to tell her I was very unhappy and it was not good. Sandy wanted me to pay to come back and fix her mistakes. I requested a refund, as I'm going to have to pay someone else to fix this, she very rudely said she would not refund. Save yourself and your hair and find someone else. read more

I took my mother to Sandy's and had a wonderful experience! She did an amazing job on her cut and color. She was so accommodating and stayed open longer just so we could get my moms hair done. I am so excited that I found this hidden gem right here in Monroe! I just got the courage to take about 5-6 inches of length taken off and try a new style. Sandy was patient with my questions and had great suggestions. She did an awesome job and colored my hair too...super reasonable pricing but most importantly she is experienced and did a great job! Her place might be hard to find, tucked down a Monroe side street, but Sandy's is a great place to get your hair cut. She takes her time with your hair...making sure it's exactly how you want it. This was my third try to find a salon in the Monroe area after moving here and leaving my favorite salon in bothell. I was very nervous when arriving at Sandy's. I have a rather intense hair coloring routine in covering up my grays and adding a multi-color foil. When I had made the appointment Sandy and I talked briefly about what I wanted. When I arrived we went over it in more detail and she took the time to explain her ideas and reasoning to me. This seemed as though it was something she had not done a lot of but I let her go ahead with her ideas. I did not think this was going to come out well. When she was all finished and she turned me around to check my hair in the mirror I about dropped. I couldn't of been more thrilled with the final result. I could of jumped for joy. This was, by far, the best hair cut and coloring I have ever had. Dead serious. Sandy nailed it and then some. Her ideas were awesome, as it turned out amazing. I was there for almost 4 hours which is what she thought it would take the first time. I usually end up spending almost 170$ on my hair with color and cut. I hate spending that much money on hair. This trip cost me just a pinch over $100. Her hair cuts cost 25$ but you get 10$ off your first appointment with a hair coloring. I would recommend this salon and Sandy to anyone. It's just her, one chair, one wash station and I loved the peace and quiet. Parking is one the street but it was easy to find a spot just around the corner from the Salon. Easy to find really. And well worth it. You have got to try this place. This is definitely my new go to place for my hair. read more

first of all i gotta say as a transwoman i have had issues finding respectful talented hairdressers.... always one or the other but never both my first visit was a perfect storm of factors. first of all i called only two days in advance explained what i wanted over the phone.... badly i might add but sandy took her time with me had the patience to explain everything that would be needed to set up the appt... hair thickness, colour, time, cost etc anywho, i show up at the appointed time without a picture of what i wanted but a clear idea (i wanted to lose some length and color) and she stood for at least 20 mins explaining how my face would be framed by cut and layers until we both agreed on a long bob with face framing layers and layers in the back for curl in a deep (what i called chestnut) brown now i may add that i have the goddern thickest hair for a mile (so thick in fact it takes 3 1/2 tubes of color to saturate my hair i later find out) ok so hair is colored, washed and ready to be cut im SO anxious im barely speaking outside of idle chit chat the scissors come out and what feels like moments later im cut and ready for the post cut style i ask for it to be flat ironed because im pickyish (and want to examine the finished length before i leave) its perfect. PERFECT 3 3/4 hours later im done with whole shebang and am home having just examined all the spots in the mirror other hairdressers miss with the color and its freaking almighty divinely done. 6 out of 5 -Would Recommend (and have already) read more

this place is Discriminating. dropped my daughter off for a hair cut, she walked in the women looked at her disgustingly and said her chair and sink wouldn't hold her. My daughter came out crying. completely hurt by how rude the women was. I took my daughter to Salon Monroe over by Domino's. They gave her the hair cut she wanted and with a smile. Guess what they had the same size chairs and sink . The women at Sandy's from what I SAW FROM THE ROAD was no MISS AMERICA. in weight class herself. To bad for them my daughter can be very gracious when giving a well deserved tip. really should be no stars read more
