Arrived to salon w appt time of 10:30a and I was 15 min early. First thing she said was that she has another client before my 10:30a appt and that she usually tells her clients not to arrive early. Meanwhile I've received 3 text notifications during the week reminding me of my appt at 10:30am. So I ask her if she wanted me to wait outside so that she can attend to her other client who had not arrived yet. She said no it's fine, and then immediately she proceeded to tell me that the haircut price she quoted me on text the other day was actually $10 more. She continued by saying if I'd wanted the bayalage it would be the original texted quote but because it was just a hair cut appt, that it was $10 more. I told her I understood it to be what she quoted me on text. I'm not a difficult client and I've been loyal to hair stylists that are professional but when you're greeted straight away with "I tell people not to come early" (which I was not told this until arriving 15 min early for the appt), and then your price changes from original quote, then I'm not going to sit for a haircut where the energy is already ruined by the rude tone and unprofessionalism. There are other salon stylists that I can pay my 20% tip to and this is not it. read more
