That didn't happen (red flag). Finally I get a scheduled appointment and after waiting all day, no one shows up! I get a text during thr evening with poor excuses and promises for an appointment the next day (flag). The landscaper shows up the next day and just starts work. While he is working I ask if he's aware of the hedge requirements and he say no but, he's got me. Seems to me a phone call should have made but, it wasn't. I go back into my home and when I return to outside of my home all of the hedges are trimmed going far beyond my original request. I received nothing in writing about up charges, pricing for services or at least a notification of the additional cost. Oh yeah the worker didn't know the parameters of the job to start with because there was nothing in writing! I paid the agreed upon price via an electronic invoice. Done deal, right ? I later received an additional invoice for over $200 more! Did I mention I'm a senior on a fixed income? Well I'm mention this to Moreno and Rose via text! Response: that's the price, gas and so on. Then was told I could arrange for a payment. Got some help from my friends and was able to pay the invoice. Late fees of over $60 were added! I DON'T RECOMMEND TO LLC!

Despite repeated reports of turf damage caused by their equipment--including deep ruts and extensive lawn deterioration--Shortcutz failed to take responsibility or provide timely, professional repairs. Instead of communicating or proposing a real solution, they showed up unannounced and dumped dirt and grass seed into the damaged areas, leaving our community looking worse than before. Not only was this a substandard "fix," but they never asked for permission or provided a plan. It will take weeks for any grass to grow in--if it does at all--and the current state of the property is unacceptable for any professional landscaping company. The lack of accountability, poor communication, and complete disregard for industry best practices have left our Board with zero confidence in their ability to service any property--residential or commercial. Shortcutz may try to shift blame to weather or the client, but the pattern is clear: they underperform, deflect, and leave you cleaning up the mess. Do yourself a favor--look elsewhere. We had a very nice initial meeting together after we needed some emergency tree work done. He appeared personable, but wasn't able to get right to it, which was a bit of a problem. That said, we were happy to make some concessions to work with him since he talked a very good game and appeared to be doing the same in return. He gave some long shpiel about professionalism, treating people right, yada, yada... and, despite his promises, that was the last time we ever saw or heard from him. Ensley requested texts (the only way to reach this "business"??) that he never replies to (not a single reply at any point in time--ever). He never answers his phone, never responded to emails, and never responded to messages sent through that lousy website contact form. I spoke with him twice--once when he returned my initial voicemail, which he obviously screened, and again when he showed up to secure the job. However, Ensley took the job and scheduled with us, had us wait when it was an emergency, and then caused further delays by refusing to notify us of anything whatsoever after apparently deciding to stiff us. We ended up finding a truly professional company that did a fantastic job without headaches. Since then, we've used the other company on a number of big jobs on various properties, and our only wish was that we had their name before calling this jester. It left us extremely frustrated at the time, but we're ultimately grateful that Ensley showed his colors right out of the box.
