I was referred to use Breezy Pet Care and it couldn't have gone smoother. Joy was able to do a meet and greet ahead of time so she knew who would be coming into the home. During that time, they played together so Joy would have a fond memory. I was away for a full week. Everyday I received an update with a picture of Joy looking tired and happy. They had walks and playtime. My house was clean when I returned and really the whole process was seamless and affordable. This was my first time having someone stay at my house rather than bring Joy elsewhere and I loved that she got to stay home the whole time where she is most comfortable. It's also nice when you're away to know there is someone looking after your home. Plants watered, mail taken in, trash brought out on time. When you sit down with a vet, they seem to be out to lunch. They don't engage with any videos you show them, don't put much stock in your perspective or concerns as a pet owner. They ask very few questions and rush to end the appointment without considering the animal's overall medical history. The vet barely speaks to you, as the human. Spends the whole time cooing over how cute the pet is, talking to the pet, to the point where it's difficult to even get a word in edge wise. Frankly, it seems like a patronizing and deliberate tactic to avoid answering questions. They suck up all the air in the room trying to make you and your pet feel so cute and special, but when you finally do get an opportunity to ask a question, the vet seems annoyed, the response is quick, thoughtless, and non-committal. No advice given, doesn't seem concerned, doesn't take things seriously. The vet chuckles and tosses out a boiler plate response with no professional recommendation. Doesn't ask if you have any more questions, just goes right back to baby talk with the animal. It honestly seems like they don't know what they're doing. I came here looking for professional advice and I feel we were coddled, manipulated, patted on the head, and sent out the door. I got home and realized the side effects of the treatment my cat received were much worse than expected... and really common. The vet told us nothing about them. At this point, googling things is more useful than going to Aspen Arbor. And way less expensive. And I don't close my phone feeling like I just got scammed. After reading other reviews, it seems that condescension, misdiagnosis, poor comprehension, inadequate communication, and failure to take things seriously are common practice here. And it sounds like they've killed a couple pets as a result. Oh and lastly, when you get there, the doors don't have buttons. The two front desk agents will sit there and watch you as you struggle to get the doors open. We obviously are done here and will be transferring our medical records to Care Animal Hospital.

Aspen Arbor failed to assess the risks that a dog of his size and age is prone to when going under anesthesia for an extended period of time. The procedure took far longer than expected due to incompetence. After surgery ended, Rocco stayed the next few hours until we were able to leave work and pick him up. They recognized he was in an extreme amount of pain but simply called him "dramatic" and laughed at him. That night was miserable for both Rocco and us. We could tell him he was suffering and reached out to the emergency line they gave us for help. Again, our concerns were dismissed and the vet stated he was simply being dramatic and encouraged us to keep loading him up with pain medicine despite the complications it could present. Unfortunately, Rocco did not improve the next day. He began throwing up in the early afternoon and we again called the vet for help. The vet acknowledged that throwing up was concerning but showed no urgency to get him in until a few hours later, which is time he did not have. We were forced to rush our sweet dog to an emergency clinic 25 minutes from our home and he died on the way after choking on his puke. Aspen Arbor killed our dog and I will not stop until this unethical and murderous practice is shut down. Please do not take your pets here. My fight is just beginning

My dog was severely injured and almost lost her eye due to negligence on their end. After speaking with the animal hospital I was advised that MANY dogs come to the hospital with a variety of injuries and that CO Dog Academy is not transparent when injuries occur. The Kennel is known as having a "sketchy" reputation and the fact they don't have cameras is a huge red flag. Pat the owner was incredibly combative with me when I asked him to pay for the vet bill. He offered $500 and I asked how he came up with that amount when the cost of treatment was triple that amount. He said I had no proof they were responsible. What I believe happened is that the old rusty door that leads to the outside kennel fell and trapped my dog by her neck (they found grease all over her). As a result, eye proptosis occurred (very painful injury where the eye pops out) I'm so disappointed with how CO Dog Academy handled this matter. I'll Post pics on yelp. He has been a wonderful addition to their family and has excelled in obedience training. However, he is quite reactive around other dogs. My daughter had been working diligently with a professional trainer for some time, but they weren't making much progress with Maverick to help him around other dogs. I encouraged my daughter to contact the Academy and speak with Dan, who I have known for 40 years and has trained several of my own dogs. I told her, "If there is a trainer who can help Maverick, it's Dan." Dan did not disappoint! After two weeks of board and train for Maverick, I met my daughter at the Academy today with my two dogs, which Maverick had not yet met. Dan facilitated a greeting and interaction between them, and it went even better than we could have hoped for. It was important for our entire family to spend time together, and that includes our dogs. Dan has made that possible for us. I cannot thank Dan and Colorado Dog Academy enough for helping us get on the right path with our pack. We will be forever grateful.

I have used Training Wheels for both in-home and on-site training as well as boarding of my one…read moreyear old Italian Greyhound Lemon. She was a rehome situation and had been trained to use a liter box in her crate. Meghan from Training Wheels helped me train Lemon to go outside and to LOVE her crate as a safe place and not soil it. Additionally, she helped me train Lemon to be totally focused on me, even with distractions. She sits when asked, she looks to me for approval and consent, and comes when called, no matter what. She is the goodest girl now - not that she wasn't before - she is just so much better now. All of this training was done with a lot of knowledge and a lot of love from Training Wheels. I also use Training Wheels for boarding Lemon. She gets so much positive attention and interaction. I was a bit hesitant at first because there are a lot of big dogs, but the times that I have boarded her, there have been dogs her size to play with and the bigger dogs play in a different area. For sleeping, she gets her own area (with door) with plenty of space for her bed and toys and then an area for going potty, should she need to in the night (Italian Greyhounds have hamster bladders, haha). The building where she sleeps and takes naps is temperature controlled and she is surrounded by other dogs in their areas, so is never alone. There are multiple outside play areas - and they designate which areas are for which size dog, and the dogs are always supervised. Training Wheels staff are always with the dogs and interacting with the dogs. They send pics of my happy dog playing outside and running and having just the best time. I feel that my tiny dog Lemon is very safe and happy there. I can't recommend Training Wheels enough for both training and boarding. Lemon is SO well taken care of and loved.
