This shop was recommended to me by a friend and let me tell you it was like finding the gold pot at the end of the rainbow. Rich and his shop out did themselves and have earned a customer for life. I only had my car a few months before it went into the shop. My corvette went in for the dreaded torque tube issue and what came next was unbelievable. As the shop started taking the car apart it was discovered at some point previous there was a fire in the underbelly due to a fuel leak. It was as if a circus of monkeys worked on it. No insulation, missing bolts and none of the fuel line was secured, Evan line not secured, it was terrible. Wrong year torque tube was in the car which was a whole other issue! Rich to the rescue. Him and his team meticulously put my car back together piece by piece and walked me every step of the way. He cared about me and my safety and my car as if it was his own. After spending a lot of cash at a dealer for a repair they did not fix, Rich was able to identify and repair my Corvette's shift differential. He also discovered the work that the dealer claimed to have done and charged me for in reality WAS NOT done. Rich suggested I contact the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) and file a complaint. Pros: Rich and his employees seemed to be friendly people. They do get the work done eventually. Cons: Very Expensive. Rich doesn't seem to be there as often so less experienced mechanics do the work (Although they are certified), it makes me wonder if the labor goes up due to the hourly work taking longer. Some of the work done on my car was sloppy. I was charged for things I didn't ask them to do. I also believe I was charged for something they damaged. They take a long time to get the work done. Looks like most people have had good experiences with them, and I'm sure overall they are a good shop. I'm just pointing out the bad experiences I had. read more

Hello, Bringing my 82' corvette to this shop was just what the Doctor ordered! After explaining to Rich, the owner, my laundry list of work I thought needed to be done to the car, he was kind and patient with me, and listened to what I was saying. Rich told me he needed the car a short while, and he would get to her ASAP. A short while later I got the call and picked up my ride from the shop. Phenomenal work. Took my C5 here after my car had 0 power running through it due to a power draw issue. Rich helped me find the draw which was coming from my window regulator and fixed it up quickly along with a bad window track. He swapped out my dead battery with one w/warranty as well. My power seats were also not working as well and he fixed it up great. In the end I had him check and change out all the fluids and the car feels like a brand new car again. It has honestly never felt better before. I definitely recommend this shop for service and fixes! Rich is a honest guy who does honest work. I changed the ride control shocks on my 2004 C5 and had the dreaded 80 MPH limit. No one knew how to delete the F45/F55 out of the computer. I called everywhere across the country and all the experts for help. No one seemed to know how to do the 2004 C5 as it is different from the other C5s. When I called Corvette Specialists they knew exactly what needed to be done and how to do it. I had been looking for awhile and was surprised they didn't bat an eye when I told them I had a 2004. I promptly set an appointment and drove my car from AZ to them. Lucky I had kept the old shocks as they were needed for the job. Rich Sjoberg had a great personality and took great of my car. The suspension was repaired and I was on my way home that afternoon. I also took notice of his shop. There were several nice Vettes there of various years and his shop was clean and professional looking. There are just some places you look at and you know you're in the right place. Rick handled my moms immediate problem with the service engine soon light with politeness and care. She is looking to sell her '98 and when she was getting ready for a buyer to come over it came on. She drove it here and he handled the simple issue effectively and put air on the tires for her. He also was really sweet with my 94 yo grandma who had some work done on her Blazer a few months ago. I recently relocated to CA from CT and was looking for a place to provide maintenance on my 1960 Vette. I had joined the local Corvette Club and several members recommended that I take my car to Rich at Corvette Specialists in San Dimas. WOW...was I pleased with the service and the recommendations that Rich provided. Rich and his team tuned up my Vette, changed the oil, replaced the leaking valve cover gaskets and steam cleaned the engine and engine bay. I'm driving my sister's '71 Corvette Stingray since my Mustang needs to go to the doctor. So far, they're behaving, while parked next to each other in my garage, but I can feel the tension between her 454 big block and my 5 speed V8. My Mustang knows I love him, and I'm loyal, but still...I don't do threesomes. I noticed her car was idling really low and, although I could adjust it myself, I didn't want to be seen messing around with another guy, so I did an internet search for a local Corvette specialist. I wasn't going to let just anyone under the hood of her car. I did an internet search for someone nearby that specialized in Corvette's and found Corvette Specialists. I did notice the one negative review on YELP, but it appeared that it was the only one, and since the person who wrote it said they'd remove it under certain conditions, I wondered how legit it was. The other place he mentioned had negative reviews too so... I drove over and spoke with Rich. He made the adjustment, fixed the rear view mirror that had been givin' me hell, and also checked the oil. No charge. Great customer service. I have some other concerns about her car so I'll definitely be taking it there again. read more

I took my 2001 C5 for the typical abs problem and was surprised to get the call that the abs was fine, just some loose connections. They did ask me what services I have had done and I told him that just routine oil etc. He recommended that a full service be done as I had only 40000 miles on the car over 15 years. Recently took 1990 ZR1 to Rich and asked if he could diagnose a noise coming from water pump area. He checked vehicle and determined that sound was from the belt only. Quick fix and fair price. Had bought a 2008 Corvette from a dealership and soon after all of the lights in the Dash over a month period started coming on and the speedometer was also not working properly. He told me that he'd had to take the dash out to figure out the problem which I found out was completely false after taking it to J&D Corvette and getting it fixed. This guy also tried to sucker me into doing a bunch of maintenance work first instead of fixing the problem I came there for and wanted to charge me over $2000 which was ridiculous and I said no to that. On top of that he had the nerve to take my license plate cover off and put his own on their to advertise his company without even asking me which I didn't even notice until after I had already left. At that point I knew this guy was only interested in making easy money and doing straight to the point type of work and was not looking to have to figure out, solve or fix any real problems a person would have with their Corvette and I would not recommend ANYONE taking their car to this guy, especially if you are trying to solve problems. He just wants straight up to the point work and that's it. Very bad experience. read more

I love these guys. Back in May I bought a 1965 Corvette Coupe that had some serious "issues." Rich and Greg checked the car from top to bottom and from front to back. I have a 2003, 50th Anniversary Torch Red Z06. I've never taken and wouldn't think of taking my car anywhere else for service. The front nose was hit in a restaurant parking lot once, I took it to Rich, he helped with the insurance inspection, had a new nose cone painted and installed in only a few days. In June of last year (2016), I had finally recovered from a series of operations to where I could begin driving my cars again. I have two Corvettes, one a 1968, the other a 2006. A friend who did most of the restoration on my '68 recommended Rich at Corvette Specialists, when I told him that the technician I had previously used had passed away. Although I was nervous about working with a new tech, I gave Rich a try. I have to say that Rich has exceeded every hope and expectation I had about fixing my car. He addressed the primary issues I brought the car in for, i.e., brakes, steering, & suspension, then made recommendations for engine and perfor-mance issues I was also concerned about. When I got my '68 back I couldn't believe the differ-ence. It's overall performance was not only significantly better than before, but the car performed better than it ever had in my entire ownership! I should note that my wife purchased this car in 1970 (second owner), and she and I have been through numerous shops and technicians over the years. We are so happy to have found Rich. Now we know our 'vettes will always operate at peak performance, and we have Rich and Corvette Specialists to thank for it.
