DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. I repeat, DO NOT take your car here. I don't even know where to start. But these people are CON ARTISTS! Any time you bring your car here you'll end up with more problems with your car than before. I don't even write reviews but I feel compelled to do so because I don't want anyone to have to go through what my wife is going through. The first time she brought her car in was for them to add coolant oil. Soon after on the drive home the car started driving weird, car started overheating, etc. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We Called the shop to explain what was going on and they said "you brought the car in like that".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Really? The next and final encounter with these con artists was when my wife brought her car in for a 100,000 mile service. The same thing happened, my wife is on the way home and the car started driving weird again. This time anytime she accelerated over 40, the car starts shaking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I Called the mechanic and they said bring the car back in, once there he says "you have a bad coil" (all of a sudden)...then he says he'll do us a courtesy and change the coil for free. How nice of him. (Sarcasm)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not even a month later the car starts acting up again, but this time we take it to a different mechanic. The mechanic asked my wife if she ever had her 100,000 mile service yet, my wife told him "yes"...The mechanic returned to show her the parts in her car that were supposed to have been worked on by German Automotive, which was clearly not. They stole $900 like it wasn't nothing. We will NEVER go back here even if they were the only mechanic in a 500 mile radius. I can't wait till Karma catch up to them! read more

Don't waste you're money, by going anywhere else. I have a 2 car story about this Shop, very happy I ended up here. 1st car 2012 Tiguan, needed a Rack and pinion to be replaced. I had the car repaired at a different shop, they wasted my time and money. The car still didn't turn, took the car to the Volkswagen dealership, they misdiagnosed it. I brought the Tiguan here to Dave and Eddie. They installed the Rack n Pinion properly and car drives great no issues. 2nd car, 2014 Passat, My niece drove into Volkswagen Dealership, quoted her $5,800 dollars on a laundry list of repairs. The entire car isn't worth 6k. Grabbed the car brought it to Dave. He took a look at it himself and said you only need 2 things done. super honest and a straight shooter. Absolutely blown away by the level of service from Dave, the owner of German Automotive Service Center! We happened upon Dave's shop while we were at Stacks across the street and were happy we had a highly rated local independent shop close to us. My wife's car has had several issues which needed to be addressed by the next smog check coming in a few months. We were at a crossroads to either sell the car or fix it due to the problems and the high mileage. We decided to bring the car in for a diagnostic and get an estimate to repair the car. Dave quoted a fair price for the diagnostic and was communicative with the time it would need to get an accurate diagnosis.
