I was very impressed at how natural it looked after the repair. I am even more impressed with the remodeled kitchen window sill in my home! The wood sill, which was part of the original construction in 2003, was a very poorly thought out design. It overhung the granite rise from the countertop, and nearly touched the faucet, causing it to get splashed with water when using the kitchen sink, and eventually damaging the wooden sill. Jesse took the four extra 12" granite tiles the builders left, matched them to the rise tiles, bull-nosed one edge, and when the work was completed, it looked fantastic! Every time I see it, it makes me smile! Such a difference from the tacky wooden sill that was built originally. I am so very happy with the quality of Jesse's work, and his professionalism. I highly recommend Apex Stone Care for any type of stone or tile work!

Blair suggested testing a stair to find out which treatment would be best. One treatment was quite a bit more expensive than the other. I was impressed with their honesty when they chose the less expensive route. I have allergies to dust (eapecially smoke from the local fires, fumes from cleaning solvents and paint fumes), but they took care to mask off the staircase from the rest of the house and used fans to suck out dust and fumes. I came through it just fine because of their consideration. Each night they cleaned up their tools and stacked them neatly and out of the way. They started and finished the job in the time they estimated, masked off the stairs from the rest of the house to keep dust at a minimum, cleaned up at the end of each day, were considerate of my allergies, and honest about using a less expensive wood treatment. Unfortunately, the guy was not very competent. Floor finish was sort of lifeless and uneven in several places, with obvious improper sanding in some corners and edges. I went to one of the big contractors in Bend for advice. They were completely booked, but gave me the name of the #1 guy they refer to for any problems - Sean at Absolute Wood Floors. Long story short: Absolute refinished the floor for a great price and the result was spectacular, perfect, great attention to detail. Night and day difference. If you are installing hardwood floors I would recommend that you at least have Sean come out and explain what he will do and the care he will take. Just meet him. I'm pretty sure you will right away know that this is the guy you want to work with. It will probably be pretty obvious. He has integrity, is dedicated to getting a superb result, and he does.

However, the next winter had more snow. We turned on the cables and noticed that there was no snow being removed from our roof. When we called Webfoot to let them know that the cables were not working as promised; they had a representative who came out to visit us. He told us that Webfoot was not responsible for the incorrect sizing of the cables as they hired a sub contractor as the electrician. Basically they said, "tough luck" your on your own. We removed the cables when we added a new roof the next year. I would not recommend Webfoot for any of their services as they told us that it was our responsibility, not Webfoot's. A waste of money. Stay away from Webfoot and go to other vendors. Buyer beware! Unhappy customer in Bend ,OR

My resent experience with Fish Window cleaning was very disappointing. I had Fish come out last…read moreFall 2017 with a month and half wait list. They said it was due to being backed up from the harsh winter. I was willing to wait and saw them several weeks later doing my neighbors windows. I approached them about our future appointment. Not to get moved up, but just to make conversation. The guy was nice enough to do my house that same day because he said it worked for them to knock it out. They did a great job and charged me and my neighbor (similar townhouse) the same amount of $200. This year we both rebooked with Fish and again long wait times, but I am loyal to good work even though they are higher in price compared to their competition. On cleaning day I had a lovely exchange with Dan (co-owner) and asked if while he was up on his ladder (next to the window) if he would cut two small branches from my Aspen tree. He said "no problem and was happy to help". I gave him $16 bucks cash and asked if that seemed fair. He was thrilled to make $16 for less than 10 min, maybe 5 minutes worth of work. Quick math that's about a $100 bucks an hour, not bad. He was happy and I was happy to get it done! Why the one star review? This year my bill went up 13%. That seemed high so I called my neighbor to see if her rates went up as well. Nope, she paid the same rate. So I wondered why was I being price gouged? I emailed the owner and asked if there was a mistake. He relented and told me fine pay what you paid last year, but my costs are going up and I need to raise my prices. Hmmmm.... I understand that and if my neighbors rates went up too I would have paid without question, but this made no sense to me. If you are going to raise your prices do so fairly and without bias. What possible justification is there really? No heads up before they came out that there prices had gone up. It just doesn't sit right with me the way this went down. I believe I was randomly charged an arbitrary amount because Dan thought I had money to burn, plane and simple. He could see that I work from home in an expensive neighborhood. So I must be rich, I must be one of those evil Californian techies the Bend locals love to hate. Unfair and discriminatory business practices, I hope to help others avoid being treated this way.

They came out an gave me a competitive bid and explained everything they would do for that bid, fill all exterior cracks, caulking all windows, securing trim and siding as needed, pressure washing, two FULL coats of paint (not spraying it once and then back rolling but two complete coats)!. They, like all painters were out 2-3 months, but luckily they had a job that had to be rescheduled due to a construction delay and fit me in. The crew tapped everything perfectly (no overspray) and painted the exterior. After each task, (first coat, second coat, trim work, etc) the asked me to inspect their work before progressing to the next task- AMAZING RIGHT? Then after I had inspected the entire job and gave my approval, the owner of Paint Pro's -Keith came out and did his own inspection, he saw a couple of things he didn't like (it looked fine to me) and had his crew redo a couple of spots.
