Manager, assistant manager, district manager and staff are friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. The store is clean and efficient, and the people are helpful and sensitive to your needs. I had a particularly great interaction with the District Manager, Mr. Armentrout. He took the time to help with my request and followed through. Horrible meat selection, no quality cuts of beef or pork. Produce selection is also bad. Outside of the bright green bananas the produce doesn't last long once home. For instance I'm lucky to even find undamaged onions and if I do find something barely acceptable they only last a couples days. Another example is dry and hard garlic, mealy apples, wrinkly peppers, moldy shallots. Little to speak of service, when I do interact with employees they are polite at least, the people in the meat section seem a bit clueless though. Dry good selection is acceptable if not great. read more

The store is clean, but staffing/training could use a lot of work. Some employees were more interested in gossiping than actually acknowledging a customer was present and doing their jobs. An employee who wasn't even in the deli department saw that I was waiting and offered to help me. The rest of the staff let him take over and did nothing. No one was wearing a mask in any department, including customer service. Definitely won't be back, and wouldn't recommend the Raymore store to anyone else. read more

Yes I am reviewing a Price Chopper. Why? Because I absolutely LOVE this location. This is one of my favorite places to shop that is near my house. The produce is always fresh, the store is always clean and they have some of the best employees. This is definitely where I do all my major grocery shopping. The only downside, it's no longer open 24 hrs (hey I get cravings overnight and the only place to go is Hy-Vee now). I recommend if you live close to this particular Price Chopper or are in the vicinity and needs a few items, stop by this location! read more

Received a gift card from my sister tried to use it was told to swipe it the cashier Holli said nothing is happening. I said can you type it in she said no you can go to customer service. Oh well that didn't help my 100.00 dollar bill right now. Went to customer service and was told it had 40.00 dollars on the card. Next time have the cashier call customer service... shouldn't Holli have known that!!!! Now I have a card that I have to tell their cashiers how to use. When I left I told Holli that it had 40.00 dollars on it and thanks for her help she said sure with a smirk. Just wrong!! Will go elsewhere!!!! read more

I'm not going to be too hard on Price Chopper. I do like the selection of groceries, it's very close and convenient, and I've never had an issue with any of the workers. They have a great salad bar (sometimes it needs some refreshing of empty items), pretty decent deli and bakery. My only complaint is that I don't feel I get my money's worth. I generally feel that the prices are pretty steep, even with the Shopper Chopper card (which is a whole other subject... completely stupid gimmick which costs us more in the long run due to the cost of the store advertising and maintaining the whole system... just give us the lower price.... plain and simple!!!). They use to have a emergency medical quick shop in there, but it recently closed, and I believe a bank is taking it's place (that's all Raymore needs is another bank!) The store is still new, so it's nice to shop there. It's clean and it gives me a good selection of fruit and veggies. I use the pharmacy at this Price Chopper. The pharmacist is top notch guy, always helpful and always takes his time to explain the meds. The store also use to be open 24, but changed from 6 to midnight I believe. Doesn't matter to me much since I'm generally in bed between those hours. Getting my money's worth is the most important thing to me though, so I would otherwise give them another star. Ok its a Price Chopper but its a nice one very clean and a great variety. I shop here all the time. I buy a lot of fresh produce. It's usually fresh, but I would like to see a better selection and local items with better prices. The meat department is clean and well stocked. The clerks are some of the nicest in town. 5 cent bag credit. I agree with Matthew F. keep the card and give us better prices up front. read more

The associates at the check out are good and friendly. Wish I could say the same about the associates in the meat and seafood sections. Some of the worst customer service. Really a shame the prices are pretty good but after a number of bad experiences with the associates and being treated poorly, I will spend my money at Hy Vee. read more

If you have ALL DAY to checkout - go to the Raymore Price Chopper and go through their SELF CHECKOUT. I was there today and every item gave me the message, "place item back on....." because the scan isn't working properly. The items - all three showed and posted with name/amount. But then the message came up. Three times - I had to raise my hand and wait for a HUMAN BEING to come and key in their personal PIN to make the item post. That's not all - the SELF CHECKOUT MACHINE FROZE after I had put in my credit card and after it said to REMOVE CREDIT CARD. Spinning, and spinning, and spinning. Raised my hand for ANOTHER HUMAN BEING to reset - this occurred TWICE. I was very close to just walking out. The customer before me apparently did exactly that. I noticed their food items set aside. I SUGGEST YOU USE THE REGULAR HUMAN BEING CASHIERS. Price Chopper should pay them more and get rid of the BROKEN SELF CHECKOUT MACHINES. read more

The store is immaculate, lots of variety, excellent wine section, produce is great, meat/seafood looks very fresh and well kept. Prices are very high even if you sign up for the free "Price Chopper Card". If you don't sign up for the card, the prices are downright obscene. Some of their loss leaders aren't too outrageous, but nothing to write home about. Customer service here is excellent. Store gets 5 stars, prices get less than one star. read more

Fresh produce, though the variety is smaller than many of the markets around the metro with Mexican and Asian products. Everyone seems friendly, the deli food is way above average, and it's very close to home. read more

The level of service you receive at this location is EXCELLENT. A gentleman named Solomon was able to chase down exactly what we were looking for in the seafood section all the way across the store in another location! A+++++ Give this man a raise! This Price Chopper is very clean and they have a HUGE selection of products. The one in Belton is nice but I drive over to this one quite often. They have a great meat selection. read more

Was in the store today, 11/19/17 around 11:00 a.m., asked for a half lb of lean honey roasted ham at the deli dept like always. The male who waited on me was very rude, his words were "it's called Virginia honey ham, I've told you this before". Really, this is the way you treat customers? GINGER IN THE FLORAL DEPARTMENT IS AMAZING! A local florist made a boutonniere for my daughters junior prom. I was not happy with it. It was the day of prom in the afternoon. I called up Price Chopper to see if it was possible to make me a replacement one quickly. Ginger said "Sure! Bring up the other one too" I did. She took it apart. Added a fresh, beautiful flower, added more embellishments, greenery, color, ect. She even sprayed it with some pretty glitter. She boxed it up and I was on my way! She was nice, experienced and had LOTS of flower knowledge. I am never going anywhere else in town for flowers except Price Chopper. Thanks for saving the day, GINGER!! read more

Having moved here from another state, ny first observation is the price increase in groceries. Trucking costs? Not many grocery stores here. This store is clean, and I like the layout more than a couple of other locations. I agree with other posts about the card gimmick. You apend more time reading the actual cost vs. the "chopped" price. I have a huge problem with the "new" recycle plastic sacks. Recently, I purchased a few canned goods and they were put in one of the new recycle sacks. I drive a new car with only a few miles on it. I always park at the very end of the lot to prevent door dings. When I was at my opened trunk only a foot away I started to lift my sacks from the grocery cart into my trunk when one sack ripped from one end to the other spilling all the cans and one can in particular (I have the proof in my pantry) fell on the bumper and put a sizable dent in it. I was extremely upset. I take very good care of my vehicles and this was a situation that should never have happened. I hope that Price Chopper can afford to go back to the stronger plastic bags from now on. Until they do I will have to use the paper bags. Warning to others be careful with those awful, cheap, recycle bags that are being used now at the Price Chopper in Raymore, Mo. read more
