It is always a treat to go to Cositas. I keep telling myself I will try more cafes in the area but find myself back here regularly because it's that good. The iced oat horchata latte is a must. From the pastries I would definitely recommend the pan de bono, bunuelo, and cambray which are all amazing. They have a great selection of savory veggie empanadas (spinach & cheese, potato & cheese, and black bean). My favorite would have to be the black bean empanadas and the accompanying sauces just add the perfect touch. You also cannot go wrong with the guava and cheese empanada. The staff is nice and helpful. The cafe is small so I always pick up. Absolutely recommend as a solid spot for a snack or breakfast in the area.

During an early morning stroll in Central park I wanted some Colombian breakfast which wasn't easy to find outside of Queens .. But I found It's a cute petite cafe with delicious Colombian and some Mexican food. We had some nice Colombian chocolate, rosca, pandebono, buñuelo, chorizo and eggs. Overall great neighborhood and food. And of-course the service was great

Small but cute Colombian cafe. Perfect to stop by and pick up a Colombian pastry and coffee on the go. Two small tables inside but outdoor seating that's wonderful in the warmer weather. Bright and cute interior

Welcome to the neighborhood, Cositas Cafe! So happy this colombian bakery is adding some flavor to the neighborhood. They offer empanadas of interesting flavors of the new Nadas Cafe and you must must get the spinach/cheese, guava/cheese as they are the best flavors. Trust me. If you need meat, I would go for the pork one. TAMALE I got a tamale since I don't typically see this offered even at latino bakeries/cafes as it's more of a street food. It was very flavorful, and very very moist, more moist than I expect of typical tamales. Perhaps this is the colombian version? It had pieces of meat, olive and other veggies that were quite yummy. I didn't mind it being wetter/moister than other tamales, as it warms the soul. Comes with a tangy hot sauce that isn't too spicy at all. COLOMBIAN HOT CHOCOLATE Well seasoned, not spicy - am I tasting cardamom? It was delightful and thin as a hot chocolate (not like the really thick european hot chocolate). The chocolate itself is quite decadent and tastes different than your typical American chocolate. Not bad! Coming here, I would come back for the tamale but didn't love some of their in-house baked goods.

Authentic and delicious Colombian coffee shop with amazing snacks: baked, fried, sweet and savory. Some varieties of Mexican bread too. Beautiful decor and atmosphere, service was great too. I had the dedito de queso (fried cheese bread) and it was amazing, huge and delicious $5, it tasted just like eating it in Colombia. They also offer empanadas, buñuelos, almojábana, pasteles de queso, natilla which is a seasonal Colombian dessert, Mexican concha, and many more delicious snacks. I would definitely come again and I'm very happy to have this beautiful Colombian spot in the UES.

Cute little cozy cafe that's easy to miss due to the small entrance and storefront. Has outdoor seating and wifi. First time trying Colombian pastries and the staff was very kind, explaining what the items were and recommending some based on my taste preferences. Pan De Bono - dense, chewy, more savory than sweet (it's cheese bread) Mexican Concha - fluffy, airy, and cookie dough topping isn't overly sweet which I appreciate. perfect with coffee or tea. Spinach & cheese empanada - outside was a bit stiff to bite into but not too greasy and was stuffed with filling. came with 2 sauces: non-spicy and spicy, both of which i liked. Also saw there were quite a few interesting drinks on the menu i'd like to try. Would definitely come here again!

This cafe is so cute! There is a lot of outdoor seating with a few tables inside. I didn't get to try any of their pastries but I did get to try the oat horchata latte ($5/12 oz, $6/16 oz) and added an espresso shot ($1.50). The latte was very creamy and sweet with the perfect amount of cinnamon flavor. If adding an espresso shot I would recommend getting the smaller size, since the sweetness and creaminess could overpower the coffee taste (unless that is what you are looking for).

Delicious, fast, not too pricey. A regular favorite of mine! My only complaint is sometimes they run out of pan de bono.

Cute cafe. Pretty much no seating, so it's best to grab something and go. A nice selection of baked Columbian goods.

(This replaces a review I posted mistakenly for an Arepa Express in New Jersey yesterday.)…read more Deli Arepa Express, a Colombian food truck parked on 46th St. near Fifth Ave. (a.k.a Little Brazil) on weekdays, is popular among both Colombianos and non-paisas -- and it's not hard to see why. The food is fabulous! Pros: - Colombian style arepas (very different from Venezuelan arepas) can be ordered with either sweet corn or white corn masa, which came beautifully griddled and generously filled in my case with stretchy white queso. - Colombian empanadas, a personal favorite, are made with corn masa, beautifully fried to a crisp (but remarkably not at all greasy) and probably gluten free. The beef and potato filling we chose was moist and very nicely seasoned. - Papas rellenas were crisp on the outside, creamy on the inside, and came filled with tender, juicy, well seasoned shredded chicken and hardboiled egg. - The truck sets up tables and chairs in the somewhat sheltered area on the road between Deli Arepa Express and the next food truck down, for those who want to dig in immediately. It's surprisingly nice for literally on-the-street dining. - The business accepts credit cards and staff are very patient and kind. Cons: - Be prepared to wait. And wait. And wait. I killed some time by walking a few doors down to Pavé, standing in the long line of folks there, and picking up a baguette for my family. (The bread there is excellent.) When I returned to the truck, my food was not yet ready, so I killed some more time by popping into the dollar store like place across from the truck, browsing the surprisingly comprehensive selection of spices, and picking up some annatto / achiote, which we've been using in homemade sazón. My food was still not ready despite the fact that 2/3 of the items ordered (the empanadas and papas rellenas) were pre-prepared and sitting in the hot case. Luckily it was a nice day to queue and I enjoyed talking to other customers in line, almost all of Latine, if not Colombian, descent. - I almost never check my to-go bags, but thankfully did this time after walking about a block, since the bag felt suspiciously light. My order was missing two items. The folks at the truck remedied the issue, but caveat emptor here. It seems that the food can come with a generous sprinkle of chaos! Am I coming back? Absolutely -- but maybe at an off hour next time.

I was walking midtown and a guy hands me a card anouncing  'Deli Arepa Express'  so I think why…read morenot.  I expected a Deli store and I see a big food cart instead.   They sell Arepa sandwishes , Empanadas, hot dogs, coffee and small bite size breads along with other items.   I saw Chicharron, on the menu only it's in a Arepa with Queso,  a combo I never had, but I guess it's time for something new even if in the past I found Arepa to be dull and plain for me.   Well they added avocado and onions to my Arepa with special mayo saurce and I got a Manzana (Apple) soda too.   The Chicharron Y Queso Arepa Was very testy and the the Aprea was made with sweet Maza and grilled, so it was not dull at all. The only drawback was the  Chicharron was on the dry side and so more chewy but it still had the fried pork belly taste anyway, maybe next time I go for the Chorizo.
