Nice spot, good coffee. Inside service is fast and it's a mix of local residents and those who have gotten off of work in the area plus some students. The tiramisu was good but did not taste award winning per se. Would come back!

This is a small cafe on the Upper East Side. It offers different drinks and baked goods. Tables are ideal for 1 or 2 people. There is a bathroom!

Beautiful but not crisp/kind of soggy croissant

Beautiful cafe w friendly service, but chocolate croissant sad/not very crisp and a bit soggy/dry (yes at the same time) , neither here nor there. Doubt I will return; cafe itself is very hot with the heat.

Their desserts and coffee are worse than deli coffee. It also made me sick. Check other reviews, you will see

Best macrons on the upper east side. Small place always busy. Excellent sandwiches too.

BUT, my husband and I recently took a trip to Paris and I also love pain aux raisins. To our delight, Cafe Bilboquet has those too, so my friend and I each had a small coffee and a pain aux raisins. The pastry was as good as any that my husband and I had in Paris! I've also had lunch here with a couple of other friends in recent months. They have a good variety of pretty authentic French sandwiches and some quiches, eggs, etc. Not inexpensive, but the food is top-notch. You order at the counter, then move up to the cashier, tell them what your order is and pay for it. If you're lucky, as we were around 9:45 this morning, you'll get one of the little round tables where you can sit and chat and relax; in good weather there are some tables outside as well; a lovely boulangerie or patisserie experience!

Upon getting closer to the door, I learned it's part of Le Bilboquet restaurant on the same block. It wasn't too crowded when I visited on a Tuesday mid-afternoon. Every table except 1 was full, but most people were heading outside on such a beautiful day with their drinks and pastries. The cafe is very cute and French. They have so many pastries I couldn't decide, so I ordered a pain au chocolat and tea. They serve Harney & Sons teas. This is a lovely spot, and I'll return to try more.

We started with a bottle of the Alsace wine, which perfectly complemented our food and the Parisian vibe. I opted for the omelette with Gruyère which was delicious, although I found myself very full by the end, as it came with two sides. The fries were a must-have -- so crispy, salty & fresh. I'd recommend that at least one person at the table order them, but the portion is pretty generous. :) The service was nice, albeit a bit slow at times. However, the staff was friendly and the overall atmosphere is chill -- we weren't in a rush at all! Sitting at a booth in the back, we had the perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy our meal, making for a lovely brunch with friends or family.
