Overall, COSM Atlanta was a great experience, and I will definitely go back during football season. I took plenty of pictures and videos because the atmosphere and viewing experience were really impressive. The main issue I had was with the ticket process. I purchased general admission tickets and arrived early because seating is not guaranteed. However, I was surprised to see people in the same line who had not purchased tickets being allowed inside for free. That was frustrating considering I paid and made sure to arrive early. General admission does give you access to the Hall and Dome areas, but there are no guaranteed seats. On the first level, the general admission seating is mostly tables that seat eight people. That works well for a large group, but smaller groups may end up sitting with people they do not know, which was not a major issue for me. The bigger problem was ordering food and drinks. Because multiple groups are seated at the same table, the servers often did not know who the orders belonged to. The food is typical bar food, but service took a long time because the venue was so busy, and my food arrived cold. I honestly did not know fries could come out that cold. My main recommendation would be to place table numbers or seat numbers at each table so servers know exactly where to deliver food and drinks. Despite those issues, it was still a great experience, and I would return. Next time, I will probably purchase reserved Hall or Dome seating instead of general admission. read more

We visited Cosm last night and had a mixed experience. Parking in the underground deck was easy, but my GPS took us on a wild route through the tunnels to get there. Parking is free for 4 hours, and the attendant at the gate enters your phone number and sends a text. Just make sure you scan the code inside Cosm -- I forgot and ended up paying $33, totally my fault. Security checks everyone at the entrance. The venue itself is huge, modern, and clean, with two bars on the main level and plenty of seating while you wait. About 15-30 minutes before showtime, you're allowed upstairs. The seating was comfortable, and the food and drinks were good, just pricey. The reason for the 3 stars: there was a crying baby in the theater that really disrupted the immersive experience for us. We chose the Matrix at 9pm expecting it to be adult only. However, that was not the case. read more

3.5 stars, because the movie itself was a joy to see in the dome. Trust and believe, if the only aspect of the experience was the production itself, this would be a 5 star review. Lighting, clarity, engaging elements all the way up to the ceiling were amazing (I went to see the Matrix, by the way). More attention and intention need to be lent to operations and the user experience. As someone that was visiting for the first time, it felt like a lot of the personnel just assumed all the patrons had been there before and they weren't very warm or helpful. The exception was the parking attendants. They were GREAT. There is ample parking underneath the venue with 4 hours of validation, so that was a big plus. But yeah, I felt a little lost and like I was finding my way while other employees talked among themselves. And yes, I've seen the movie ATL and understood the reference, but an unsmiling ticket attendant saying, "No ticket, no skate," upon me approaching the building entrance was...a choice. The other issue was the seats. Being closer to the front when viewing means looking up more. That's understandable. But front row theater chairs still typically have neck and back support. At Cosm, the small chair that I was reassigned to that stopped at the middle of my back made the experience super uncomfortable and somewhat painful. And I actually didn't choose that seat, initially. I ended up in that chair after purchasing a seat on the first level that have full back support and an ottoman, however I was informed via email that my seat was moved since they deemed the first level to be too low for optimum viewing. Level three is probably the only level where the seats (plush with quality leather, but still better suited for a lounge instead of a theater) won't hurt you. Even though the dome has these issues, I think viewing in the outer hall may not be that bad. This place has immense potential, so I guess we'll see what happens. read more

I came here to watch WWE Summerslam. I was able to park in the deck below, which adds 4 free hours to your ticket. They let us in around 5:30 and the show started at 6. I couldn't believe how much space you get to choose from with a GA ticket ticket. I had a great seat without being in the sphere. The food is seriously overpriced with a limited menu, that's why I deducted one star. The crawfish spinach dip was delicious though! The staff is super friendly and helpful. This was a great place to watch sports. Parking was free with a purchased ticket. We did standing room which didn't take away from the experience however it took forever to get someone to want to take our order. However, Kiericka was amazing with our service she made sure we were taken care of! Also it took about 2hr to get our food after we ordered as the kitchen was backed up. Jerk wings were smoked but probably needed to be cooked longer. The smashburger was dry and overcooked. The French fries had some good seasoning! read more

The movie itself was really good. I love the effects. It seemed like the staff did not know the seating to deliver food and drinks. Multiple times we had people walk in front of us just to turn around with the product in hand bc they had gone to the wrong section. One employee even turned the lights on near us to figure out where she was going. The popcorn looked aesthetic and fun but not actually good so we opted not to get any. The drinks all looked good. A one time experience if probably enough for me especially since our seats view was continually blocked by servers and food runners. Still enjoyable enough to recommend at least once. read more

1 star. Do not waste your money. Came to watch the World Cup final. After taxes and fees, paid over $100 for 2 GA tickets. Left before the match even started. That should tell you everything. GA means no assigned seats. Fine, but if you're going to sell tickets, make sure there's actually somewhere for people to sit. There wasn't. After searching every level, we finally found seats in the uncovered section of the deck. It was a great view while it lasted... About 5 minutes in, an ashy substance started blowing onto the deck. We ordered food and drinks anyway, hoping for the best. Then it poured. We had to abandon the seats we'd spent 20+ minutes hunting down. The food came out, and the server had to walk it around the venue looking for somewhere (anywhere) to set it down. There wasn't one. No tables, no counters, no seats, nothing. We never got to eat it. Then the TVs cut out completely. The one thing we were there for. A note on the food, for what it's worth: if you're vegetarian, your options are fries and donuts, and even then, who knows what they're fried in. Plenty of places use tallow or other animal fat, and nothing on the menu says either way. Not a single item is marked vegetarian. Zero thought put into this menu beyond "add meat to everything." I still tried to pay, because that's just decent. A server told me not to bother, since we never actually received anything we ordered. Even their own staff knew this was a disaster. Because I'm a glutton for punishment, I may give them another chance, but it will be for a low value event, not something big. read more

Slightly Above Average Experience. Definitely not what I thought I was buying. The advertising was very misleading, leaving me to believe that there would be physical and engaging props as part of the experience: a belief that motivated me to plan a whole out-of-state surprise trip for my Harry Potter fan wife. While the domed video was an elevated experience over the original movie, it did not meet my expectations and was an overall disappointment. The original video was displayed in a small area of the screen then the remainder of the curved screen framed the film with phenomenal high definition images that gave a 'sense' of being immersed in the settings of the scenes. However, that 'sense' was continually disrupted by servers walking in front of you, blocking and interrupting the view and engagement of the movie. Toward the end of the movie, there was the disruption of ongoing beeps as food and beverage payment transactions were being collected by processing credit cards. The staff were friendly and pleasant. The food was just okay. A decent, but very overpriced burger, lukewarm fries, and exorbitantly priced, plain ole theater popcorn (although there were extremely exorbitantly priced versions of colored and coated popcorn options also available for purchase). In summary, a neat experience that was hyped up and oversold in expectation. Definitely not worth the price or the five-hour one-way drive and hotel costs I put into it. read more

We went for the FIFA World Cup semifinals matchup with Argentina vs. England. We got there when the doors opened. As we walked in, we realized they were letting in everyone for free due to it being the last match played in Atlanta. Seating on level 1 was nice with a great view of wall to wall screens with a bar behind us. Our waitress was very attentive and gave us her recommendations for drinks as well as food. The food was not great. I got the smoked chicken sandwich which came with fries. The fries were cold and the sandwich was still warm. For the price, I could've ate in The Center instead. Also, we ordered the pork belly fries. Again, the fries were not hot so it just wasn't tasty at all. We did not order any of the special cocktails and just stuck with beers and ciders. Overall, the viewing experience was amazing. We were able to check out levels 2 and 3, along with the deck. Thank goodness we stayed on level 1. Not a great place for movies. I wouldn't return for another showing. There were people talking throughout the film and waiters constantly walking around, which made it hard to focus. The food was just average--they served me old, cold fries. The movie also plays on a smaller screen rather than using the full dome, which was disappointing. The whole experience was good! We went to see Harry Potter and entering the building went smoothly. The parking was so convenient. However the only thing I DID NOT LIKE was the food service. I understand it is harder for servers to go in their sections due to the movie playing- but it was very inconvenient to have to (in the dark) try and get your servers attention. As well as the fact of when I ordered apps such as fries... they were cold when they arrived. I also had to keep asking where my $18 Harry Potter themed popcorn was. I saw other people getting there and it was already almost three quarters through the showing when I got mine. Besides the food service though this was a great experience. CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ITS BEST !!! The facility is 5 stars and that's not debatable - but for me it's about the experience and customer service goes a long way w/ me. My brother was in town for the weekend and I raved about this facility in Atlanta that just opened. I purchased (GA) general admission ($11) tickets for us to attend. To my surprise the Yankees vs. Dodgers game ended up getting cancelled and monies were refunded. This stung a little because my brother was looking forward to the experience. He sent an email to Cosm that night after 8pm on the WEEKEND and was replied to that night with apologies and a sincere effort to accommodate. Cosm made sure our experience was TOP NOTCH - that they asked him to select the row and seats in the DOME for the following night. Understand - we only had standing room only tickets for the night before to watch from afar. They gave us seating tickets to the Dome - which was well over $120 in value. This place has so much potential. The movie itself was great and the waitress we had was very nice. Areas for improvement: 1) I had read that doors opened 30 minutes before the show, but did not realize we'd be standing outside in the blazing sun until then. I wrongly assumed the lobby would be open. They also didn't open until 10 minutes after the original time, so we heard lots of people complaining about the heat as we waited to go in 2) my group had purchased the enchanted extras package for food, but we were the last show of the day and they were out of the main items we were looking forward to (especially the butter beer!!). Our waitress was sweet and helpful and told us how we could get a refund after, but the themed food was half the reason for going 3) waiters and waitresses were confused on where they were taking food, which resulted in people bobbing around the screen in front of everyone unnecessarily 4) the payment machines were not silenced, so towards the end of the movie, we heard a chorus of beeping, which was very distracting If they can iron out the operational bugs, this venue will be fantastic. We experienced the Harry Potter immersive shared space and honestly it was cool like Disney or universal. We ended up showing up a little late because of time zone differences and the usher gave my God kids free popcorn, which was so sweet. Well, the cocktails were very sugary. They were fun and fit in with the theme. We had balcony seats and they were still great. We didn't try any of the food food. So I can't really speak to that. In general as a venue, I was really impressed. It's a beautiful place and definitely a unique experience. The video quality is epic and I love how they created the domed screen, that was very cool. I went last night for Harry Potter, loved that they branded it out, the details were great. The servers were not the problem but the service is the problem. The menu is pricey, the servers can't read the numbers off the paper when looking for who it's for, the aisles are very narrow, the tables are very low, we almost had 3 separate things fall on us. The place is so busy a lot of our things took forever, came out cold, and had to be returned. I don't understand why all seats weren't like the flanked sections where the servers walk a step down in front of you so they're never in your way of the screen and they can reach your table properly. Sitting 3 deep on those couches is not comfortable especially for the middle person. Very few people realized there's a shelf in the little table so stacking all the food on top of the pile of menus kept happening. I would go again but do it very differently, would likely eat dinner elsewhere to avoid the hassle and prices in the venue. I will also say it needs better signage I drove around the block a few times before figuring out where it was and how to get into the parking deck. read more

We went to the Cosm today for the FIFA game. Our service was subpar. The first couple of things we ordered weren't very good, we got the crawfish and artichoke dip and fries. Both were lacking in flavor and the dip was swimming in oil. We then ordered wings and ended up waiting 30 minutes for them. Our server brought out the bill before the wings came out because the game was ending. We sat and waited for the wings until it was clear they weren't coming. They began cleaning up around us and finally our server came back to ask us if we were okay. We then told her we never received our wings and would like a refund. She said they would be right out, didn't offer to comp them for the wait and brought them out about ten minutes later with a to go box. If I could give it more than five stars I would. Don't go for the food. A very limited menu. The drinks seemed to be very popular. Pick a type of event. I purchased event tickets three months ago for the Harry Potter experience with a private table and food only to get an email two days before the event telling me my tickets were sold to the general public, and my tickets were cancelled and refunded. We had the entire weekend based around this event with hotel rooms booked and accommodations made for our dogs. This is not how business should be conducted. Theater experience was really good, if you sit on floor 1 & 2 feels like you're in the experience itself. I think it was a bit pricey, but parking (4 hours) is included so it works out. I ate some popcorn it was way to buttery and way too much salt so much, so I had to take it back. The young lady never brought our drinks, and I never saw her again until the bill came. So, I did not pay for anything. They have no button to call the waitress. The seats were very pleasant. Overall, I give it an ok. I will go again it's still new and it was very busy. We went to go see this movie today, I think I overhyped myself about the whole experience. When your movie detail shows doors do not open until 12:30pm, they literally mean the entire building does not open until that time. We ended up standing in line outside the building but luckily it is a little shade from the building. Secondly, any size purse you have it will be checked by hand by staff before entering. My purse was a small/medium size. We had to wait until 12:50 in the front lobby to be let in into the other part of the building. You have to take a fully packed escalator to your level. So the dome is not really closed in so you can hear the background sounds of drinks getting made, people talking, and if a witness drops something. Thirdly, the seats could have been so much better. I am use to AMC seats where they are actually comfortable. The seats here are shaped like a L with cushion. The seats have no give and go to them. I had to keep adjusting myself and the person next to me too. Now, the size of the seats... are too small!! I am a size large/X-Large and my friend is a 2x large. We were shoulder to shoulder and hip to hip. If you with someone that you really don't know like that, then you will feel uncomfortable. Lastly, the ladies restroom on level 3 and level 1 first 3 toilets were clogged up. The question is would I go again , only if it's a movie I really really want to see on that type of screen read more
