I have been treated by Dr. Jodie for almost 3 years for filler (lip & laugh lines) and Botox (in my jaw for TMJ and relief from teeth grinding). I've also been seeing So for weight management off and on for 2 years. I'm super happy with my results! The only things I would change are 1) the lip filler injections can be painful, but I recently started taking arnica before and using arnica cream after, which helps relive pain quite a lot. And 2) it would be nice if parking was validated, but then again we are talking about parking in First Hill in Seattle. A girl can dream! My appointments always run smoothly and the team really works together to make sure visits are efficient. They are also very flexible if I have to reschedule due to conflicts. James is a total sweetheart and adds a fun vibe to the office, and together they all make sure I have a pleasant experience. So is like my guidance counselor, in addition to being a great listener and positive source of encouragement. I had a concern regarding hyper-pigmentation and I was sold a pad with brightening solution It cost me 150 dollars which is an exorbitant cost for this type of product. It is a blend of salicylic acid and a few other brightening agents without hydroquinone. I definitely believe in investing in skincare and don't mind spending for high quality products. However, I should've gone to get a second opinion and visit other places. At first, I was okay with this product and wanted to give it a try and bought it on the spot. After visiting 3 other places and seeing the prices with almost the exact same active ingredients at half the cost and similar skincare recommendations, I felt like I was not paying a fair price. Although the visit seemed very professional, I feel like I got the same advice and review at other places with a more reasonable price point for treatments regarding sun damage. I really wished I did my research before buying the first recommendation at my visit with CosMedic. Please be careful in purchasing in house skin care products and ask a lot of questions. I don't think its even worth it to make a trip back to the center and do a follow up since I feel jipped. read more

I came to CosMedic Skincare to get Botox for the first time. I was nervous and had scheduled a consultation in order to have time to chat with Dr. Jodie prior to having the Botox done. However, upon being taken back for my appointment, I felt incredibly rushed. She started preparing the needle and solution within 60 seconds of me sitting down, and I barely felt like I could ask anything before she jumped into the injections. I was in and out within 10 minutes. I was given 28 units, which even to someone new to Botox seemed very high. I've since had a range of side effects, including blurred vision, intense fatigue, and lightheadedness, all have which have led to anxiety. I've been to my dermatologist since the appointment, who has also confirmed that I have drooping of the eyebrows/eyelids from injections too close to my eyebrow. At the end of the day, although these side effects may be rare, any doctor administering any kind of treatment/procedure should be sufficiently preparing new patients by discussing all possible side effects and recommendations for after-care and things to look out for. This didn't happen in my case, and that was well within her control. read more

Dr. Jodie is just the best. I went in to get botox to get rid of some set wrinkles on my forehead. She was patient with me and talked me through how the muscles in the forehead worked, and where she was going to inject to make my wrinkles disappear, but still keep my brows lifted. I love the results and her knowledge of injectables after years of practice. I actually wanted to get more botox, and she convinced me to get less to see how the first round went. At Cosmedic, I got the really high setting 25 for DOT laser on my face. So, though lower settings for DOT may show no results (like no harm, no foul), see my pics showing what DOT is REALLY doing to one's face. The only thing positive was it killed off virtually every hair (peach fuzz) on my face. Same as it seems to have killed off the subcutaneous fat in my face. (The fat that makes one's face look youthful.) Fat loss is irreversible. Cosmedic consent form says "SmartXide DOT Therapy may involve a series of treatments". ($1800 for my one treatment.) So one may think, try it again. After all, Cosmedic says such great things about DOT. That's why I thought it important to post the pictures. To show what its really doing to the face. read more

I developed a hyper/hypo pigmentation skin issue two years ago after having kids that I couldn't fully cover even with a full coverage foundation. At any rate, she'll be as gentle or aggressive as you'd like and will provide great results no matter what. Then there's Dr. Jodie. Lord. She is the GOAT. My last visit with her is what prompted me to finally sing their praises out loud instead of just in my head. For round three of my Botox journey, I purchased a LivingSocial deal for 20 units at $150 at CosMedic. Unlike my first experiences, the toxins were administered by an actual MD, Dr. Jodie Reinerston. And I love her. She took one look at the redness in my skin that I thought was a genetic gift from my father known as Rosacea, and told me that it was more likely sun damage, noting that the chin isn't a place that Rosacea presents and yet, mine resembled my nose and cheeks. And as it turns out, there is a very simple procedure to fix it. So her LivingSocial deal actually worked, because I am coming back to fix that shit, unlike all the other medi-spa places I have been swooping in and out of for a little laser here and a little syringe there - never to return again. Not that I'd ever consider Botox, but let's just say I did. I accompanied my "friend," a 40-something woman who had more than an everyday battle with the "angry 11" (the dual frown lines between the brows) and at long last, decided to try this popular (and recently Grouponed) mode of treatment. The office was easy to find; an easy walk from downtown, and on a high floor which afforded a gorgeous view of downtown Seattle. Once in the chair, the doctor was very knowledgable and reassuring about to my friend. Pain really wasn't an issue ("friend" is not afraid of needles) but her casual yet professionally empathetic manner put us at ease. We discussed how many units would cure what. and ended up getting the full 20 units in to relax the brow. The process was simple, and Dr. Jodie gave advice about future skin care and maintenance, and though she suggested future cosmetic procedures the general consult was more about overall health and conservative options than making you look 10 years younger. By you I mean my friend who was getting the Botox. Not me. I just look young because I am all Zen and shit. NOTE: I do not mean to be disrespectful or condescendingin referring to her by her first name, but because of her friendly manner and the fact that she was around my age (and from Boston, where I have lived) I relate to her more of a person. Her medical credentials are solid. The only problem was that the Botox didn't really last too long, Apparently some people have really high metabolisms ("your body is really good at getting rid of toxins"). But the second time, the touch-up was lighter than the first (16 units as opposed to 20), and as promised, the muscle atrophied and less was needed after a few months. All I can say is that it was awesome!! Dr. Jodi was very easy to talk to, and explained everything in terms of cost and continued maintenance. She also mentioned some new therapies; in medical terms which was nice because I had told her previously that I was a medical writer, and was happy that she remembered and acknowledged that. The thing about Botox is that, in conservative doses, one can still retain freedom of expression while looking like you get 12 hours of sleep a night. Dr. Jodi understands this. My "friend" is constantly being told that she looks like she "just got back from vacation" when, in actuality, she got this procedure she would never quite admit to getting. THERE is negative sales pressure here , something that is really RARE in the World of COSMOCEUTICALS. In the almost three years, I have been coming here, I have never been upsold or charged even remotely what I came in expecting to pay. Going anywhere else (especially because of some Groupon special etc. ,) would be foolish. You have one face and its the first thing people see. Everyone has glanced at these procedures gone wrong in the tabloids. Celebrities whose botox is so extreme they look like siblings of the Devil. Or lips that are so unnatural, it makes the actress look like she's suffering from a terrible snake bite. Who you go to REALLY does matter quite a lot. Even if you could find these services for less somewhere else, (which I doubt,) why take the risk of looking crazy??!!You might have to spend three months in the house hiding from your friends just to save ten dollars. Not worth it!!. You might be able to play off bad results in a city like L.A., but don't think that is going to happen in the granola and natural city of Seattle. Offer to join their mailing list -they have lots of really cool specials each month rendering many services even more of a great deal . Great service from the desk and the doctor. My first visit the doctor the was cautious with botox at my request to make sure I didn't get sag. When I went into get a little more in a few areas she didn't even charge me because I mentioned a bruise that lasted a few days from the previous time (which is normal in some cases). The front desk gave me a $50 gift card for my next visit and a $50 referral card for a friend. They have specials for new customers AND returning customers. Recently I went to visit Dr. Jodie and staff in their BEAUTIFUL location on top of 1st Hill. I had my very first session of laser hair removal. Dr. Jodie and her staff were incredibly friendly and very comfortable, I had no issues with jumping up on the table for the bikin area removal as they were all very profesional. After much research on this treatment I also think that the price for laser hair removal seems very reasonable. I have been a client at CosMedic Skincare for over 10 years now. It started with getting some of the darker spots on my face lightened. My husband was terrified that I'd be tempted to get Botox etc. especially after seeing all of the movie stars that looked so strange (to us). I decided to sneak an injection in a scar area on my chin. Not a single person noticed but I noticed every single day and I loved it. About a year later, I decided that the frown lines between my eyes needed to go- making me look crabby all of the time. I got that taken care of with no one noticing but myself. Are you tired of being a Living Social and Groupon guinea pig? Then this is your place. I've seen Dr. Jodie for about 7 years now, popping in and then moving on to a coupon special. Never feeling satisfied with the result of the coupon specials, only the fact I paid a bit less. However, this last visit with Dr Jodie has me over the moon happy!!! I went in asking her to help me with my ever sagging jowl line, which is difficult to treat. I know because I had already tried with my Dermatologist, only to be out a large sum of money and I didn't have great results. Dr. Jodie did my jowls and so much more. I trusted her advice and I was NOT disappointed. With a little filler here and there and some botox to boot I feel like I look 10 years younger and the saggy jowls are gone. Dr. Jodie only does fillers, although there are others services in her office, and she knows what she is doing. I'm SUPER HAPPY with what she did. It looks natural so natural!!! I should also add, I'm a bruiser. Meaning I bruise easily. I've had some horrid bruises in the past just from botox. With this treatment I had 2 small needle marks, that were hardly noticeable. I am new to the city, spent some hours doing research on a good place for lip fillers. I have had them done before and needed to find "my" consistent doctor here in Seattle. Nailed it on the first visit to CosMedic. Jodie is quick, efficient, and very experienced. She was friendly, James was friendly, the office was clean. I was a first time patient and have never done anything to my face. After the initial consultation with the doctor, she said I really just needed something basic like the hydrafacial. I was looking to do a consultation for their weight loss services. I had just moved to the area from Denver, CO and loved my old clinic (Clinical Nutrition Center- great cheerleaders, great dieting programs, education, and amazing staff.. so sad they are not nationwide) and was looking for a new one to get back on track. I was so excited to visit this center as I had read about them previously on Yelp, but after my visit, I was horribly disappointed. First of all, when I came into the office, the receptionist and doctor were chatting at a reasonable volume and complaining about the lack of cleanliness of the office, the doctor was criticizing an employee in front of clients for misuse of time (not cleaning the office), and they were laughing and saying that one of their employees was spending way too much time with a patient (implying that their service needs to be more of a quick revolving door). I tried to set aside my judgment, as they had not even seen me yet, but their conversation was unprofessional and their tone seemed to totally lack respect for one another and their patients' time and money. So right off the bat, I am not impressed. I was then taken back to a consultation room. The lady who saw me before handing me over to the doctor asked me a set of brief questions about why I wanted to lose weight. Before I could even finish my answer, she would cut me off and rush through the rest of the questions and try to finish my sentences for me. I felt like she did not hear a word I said. Also, with this being a place for counseling about weight loss, I expected some sensitivity and warmth, but it felt like either it was her first time asking questions about the subject matter and she was uncomfortable, or she did not care to listen. I had come in for a consult for their weight loss program and was very encouraged by their website, claiming to combat weight issues from both the nutritional and psychological standpoints. The website claims to have a weekly meeting option that includes counseling and a check-in about progress. I asked continuously what a weekly visit would look like and how they could help me, and she said it is really more about the food they sell and which kind of appetite suppressant I want, but that I should ask the doctor. Finally the doctor came in. She told me that she would only need to see me every 2 weeks to a month or so for 10 minutes or less so that I could be weighed. The price list shows these follow-up appointments run around $150 (for 10 minutes and they are trying to cut down on that time??). She did not say that any counseling was involved- how could it be in 10 minutes? They also do not talk about living a healthy lifestyle- only to take an appetite suppressant they prescribe and either buy their food or continue my own regimen. I told them my biggest goal was to learn how to eat healthy so I can make solid decisions in the future- this and all other goals were not addressed. I am positive the doctor did not read what little information the previous helper wrote on my chart. Anyway, our visit was maybe 5 minutes and she was ready to just write a prescription and be done with me and onto the next paying customer. I told them I wanted to wait to sign up as I wanted to think about it, but I was just trying to get out of there soon enough before I burst into tears. This is obviously botox and skin care company, not a weight loss management program. They should not offer these services. To top it off, when I went to check out, they said "that'll be $29" and charged my card for $65. When I was about to sign the receipt and corrected them, they ran another transaction to return part of the charge. I told them "By the way your website says your consult is $19. I don't mind that it is $29, but your website has not been updated". All they said in reply was "woops- sorry!". Disaster! I was SO ready to jump on board a real program and get started--- and I left down the elevator in tears. I would STRONGLY discourage others to use this company for weight loss services. read more

Two years ago, at age 24, I had the worst acne I've ever had so I came in for their acne treatment services. For almost $1k, I was able to get six visits, which I would have every two weeks or so. They've tried microdermabrasion, photofacial, they've given me antibiotics (to clean out my system, they said), and used their products (facial cleanser, pads, etc.). After four visits and no noticeable improvement, I knew it was a waste of money. Also, the chemicals they used on my face burned! I finished my six treatments and never came back. I decided to try something cheaper. I ordered proactive, and after two weeks, I noticed a difference. Ever since trying proactive, I have not had a breakout. Cosmedic Skincare truly offers the most cutting edge cosmetic services. I've been a loyal patient for nearly a decade (yikes!), so I speak from experience. This review is for the Morpheus treatment. In short, it qualifies as the most transformative non-invasive treatment I have ever experienced. I liken it to a mini-face list, minus the cost and downtime.
