I wish this would have been double checked prior to being used on me because even if it's probably fine only happening once and (hopefully) it wasn't in a high dosage.. but was unable to confirm this - it still caused me immense anxiety that I really wish was avoided. I washed it off and emailed my doctor. But I still feel awful and wish more precaution was taken. This was my first facial since becoming pregnant (almost 27 weeks now) and I was really looking forward to it and thought I'd be safe here. Unfortunately I didn't feel safe and I wish I never came now. They don't have pregnancy pillows to accommodate pregnant individuals either. I'd go elsewhere if you're expecting but otherwise they usually do a great job... pretty disappointed this happened to me though /:

I had my appointment with Kiana, she greeted me offered me a flass of wine and we proceeded to the waxing table. I didnt feel pain at first but halfway through the session i heard Kiana say "Oh Shit", i was reslly nervous what she did to me and my left eyelid was on fire I i asked her to please take a break. Another customer showed up and she told the customer 5 min as if she was rushing. She showed me my eyebrows and saw she had yanked, pulled off a bunch of my eyebrows that werent supposed to be removed. I even asked her for an "S Shape" and later continued to tell me to come back Morgan was a specialist in eyebrows. This is so effed up when i made the appointment i specifically told them i wanted an eyebrow wax and i had a lot of work and trusted them. I am in pain still, my skin is irritated and extremely burned and ended up having a black eye of how rough Kiana was with my brow. I got asked at work if i was assaulted it was embarrassing. The owner Vanessa got back to me 3 hrs later, it seemed to me they were more worried about a negative review than the customer. Also Kiana has left unsatisfied customers. I will put captions on the pictures how it looked like throughout the day and reviews of different customer and texts i received. This was the most painful experience I've ever experienced when it comes to eyebrow removal. Next time I am just sticking with eyebrow wax. I gave it a try, it's definitely not for me and again more painful than thread, or wax. To each their own but had a terrible experience and wish them well. I do hope the owner obviously sees that many customers have been dissappinted by Kiaras service. My advice look into this place before you go there. My experience was awful and very painful and ended up with burned, damaged skin, and a black eye.

It's about the militant policy and the assumption that her time is more important than anyone else's. This business has all the shortcomings of a large company, and none of the benefits of a small business. I originally was waxed a little 4 weeks ago. April advised that I come back five weeks later. I run a tight and busy schedule between school, work, and caretaking for an ill family member. During the interim my cell phone was broken by the ill family member (dementia) and I had to switch my phone out. When it came closer to the appointment, I looked through my emails and did not see an original booking message. My calendar did not carry over, and I then received a text message 24 hours before the appointment. I was surprised, because most salons will send a booking email and then a reminder before their cancellation policy... something for confirmation at the onset. I showed up on time with a mask on, and wanted to rebook as I had hardly any regrowth. She was immediately angry, telling me that "she deals with people like me all the time." I was pretty shocked. Not only that she was so quick to anger, but that me showing up and using my time (because time is money for everyone) meant absolutely nothing. She angrily said that she pays for the roof over her head with the clients she has keeping the appointments. Good to know I'm just another blank face with a credit card. I have worked in customer service in 5 star hotels, fine dining restaurants, and for companies that have excellent customer service. The basic concept is that both parties' time is important, not just one. Another concept is that I would often choose to go to "mom and pop" businesses to support them instead of larger companies. The understanding was always that if they would be accommodating every once in a while, then I would tip an increasing amount each time, usually topping off at 30-35%. I have always supported service people. But at this business, it has been made abundantly clear that this is not a service oriented business. It is a profit-driven business where everyone is merely a number. She then kicked me out, telling me that she's always fully booked and doesn't need any more money. That was a weird contradiction and told me that she was speaking from emotion, and not reason. If you are nearby or have more flexibility with your time, and don't mind being treated somehow worse than all of the service companies I've worked for before in the past two decades, should you ever take an effort and show up to reschedule out of good faith, then please by all means be a patron to this establishment. But if you are looking for someone who truly values people and honest customer service, this is definitely not the place for you. April doesn't even bother to send out a booking confirmation. I've shown up 15 minutes early to everything I've been responsible in my life: work, school, appointments. I showed up on time this time. Again, didn't even register since I wanted to reschedule and not pay for having two hairs waxed. This has nothing to do with entitlement on my end. I just don't have the time or the patience to deal with people who do not understand the basic tenets of good customer service or the way that the tipping system works in America.... meaning if you extend excellent customer service, you tip an excellent amount. I would have included this appointment's service amount in my tip had I been allowed to reschedule. I only give my money to businesses and people who understand customer service and have the humility to work with people. Hubris is not something I will ever deal with when it comes to paying for a service that is not a necessity from an economic standpoint. If I were to run my own business, and felt overwhelmed, I would at least automate a booking confirmation email or have a booking confirmation template ready to send in case anything happens to a client's calendar, as most people now track it via their phones and various devices. But she insists that everything she does is perfect and there's no room for improvement, and clearly everyone else has a problem. Talk about shifting the accountability and responsibility.

Amazing job. This was the best waxing i've ever received. Never had one completely painless or anything of the sort but this provider sure made it feel better than anyone i've seen in Seattle or Vegas. When i left the store, i was not bright red as if i just spent hours in the sun, and i was not feeling sticky. Very professional but at the same time, she made me feel like i was a special client. She made me feel very welcome and even though i'm a larger woman, i never felt like she was uncomfortable. i recommend her waxing over anyone in Seattle or Las Vegas. I've been to at least a dozen places to get waxed and never have i felt as comfortable or happy with my experience as i did at the Skin Firm. read more

I recently moved here from California and was seeing my esthetician there for about 10 years. When I moved here, it was hard for me to find someone who would listen to what I wanted (I wanted to keep my brows full and not thin, but they had already been botched), as well as someone who uses hard wax (it's what has been used on me for over 10 years). I went to a few places and all used strip wax. I continued my search until I found Amy. Not only did she listen to what I wanted, she uses hard wax, and informed me about sugaring, which I'm definitely going to try. I received a sugaring treatment from Amy for my bikini area, and my whole experience was excellent. The location is clean and very welcoming, and Amy immediately made me feel at ease - as though we were old friends. I had never had sugaring done, but I will never go back to hot wax! It was less painful, more eco-friendly (you don't use paper strips), and the results were just as good, if not better than a wax. Amy... Where to begin she is the best hands down. Not only is her shop perfect for relaxing but she makes you feel comfortable and it is easy to relax. Her customer service would be 10 stars. Came to get my brows done after a year of doing nothing to them. My friend referred me to see Georgia, and boy was it worth it. I've always gotten my brows done at beauty counters and it was such a refreshing change of pace to come here. The vibes, smell, ambiance, everything was so relaxing and on point. I've gone to other people for facials here in Seattle, and my skin has never looked and felt as fresh as it did when I left the Skin Firm last week. I did the Hyperpigmentation: Melanin Balancing Facial with Amy Stewart - and oh my goodness! My skin has never looked so good! My main skin priorities were handling evening out my skin tone and hyperpigmentation. She addressed my marks and gave me a brightening facial that makes my skin GLOW.
