This place is pretty shady. I found them online when searching for laser tattoo removal. The website mentions free consultation as well as a $100 off promo for new patients so I made an appointment, but when I showed up I had to pay a consult fee before I was seen. The forms I was required to fill out before my consult were quite alarming, they wanted my drivers license, social security number, where I went to college, where I work, the names of my kids and also a lot of unnecessary information on my spouse, I left many of the questions blank. As a nurse myself, I know this isn't typical of a medical practice to ask these types of questions. I was honestly a little concerned for identity theft. Their website quotes tattoo removal at $100-300 per session depending on size. My tattoo was very very small so I expected it to be closer to the $100 range but I was told it was a minimum charge of $300 regardless of how small it was. Somehow I was charged $320 for one laser treatment on a tattoo that's less than a half inch long, this price included the $100 first time patient promo. So I guess full price would've been $420 for a treatment? This didn't line up with what I had seen online and also seemed to be a lot higher than other businesses. I called back after seeing my final credit card charges in hopes someone could explain exactly what the charges were, the receptionist was very nice but unable to decipher the charges. She told me the office manager would call me back to explain the charges to me... she never did. Overall, the doctor seemed knowledgeable but the business was just shady. I went for a consultation and I have never felt more uncomfortable. When I got in front of the doctor he said, "you look fine, I don't know what you want me to do." He made it seem like I wasn't knowledgeable on the different procedures when I had done extensive research. When I mentioned the different peels and laser treatments he said, " I mean I can show you". Didn't seem like they wanted my business so I took it elsewhere. read more

Zero stars! Have been getting Botox for TEN years now and still cannot reveal what this doctor injected into my forehead. I have had no result! No other physicians will inject new product bc of unknown interactions to whatever this doctor had in his syringe !this is terrifying. Horrible experience. Chop shop office please research and pick a better place to go. I have called three times a week they never let me speak to anyone besides receptionist always promising to call me back with answers. Mystery Product was injected 3.5 months ago and I have been calling for three months trying to figure this out. Truly a NIGHTMARE!!!!!! read more

Dr. Mamari is unprofessional. Apparently he treats cosmetic procedures as a "nail or spa" visit when in fact, it is not. Cosmetic procedures *are* medical procedures, and the patient and any follow-up should be treated accordingly. I had botox that was was given incorrectly, and resulted in drooping of my left lip as if I had a stroke. When I called the office to ask for help/advice, the receptionist said what I was telling her "made no sense", and that she would talk to the Dr. At no time was I offered an appointment to come back in to be seen, nor did the Dr. have the professional courtesy to speak with me personally. I was called back later by the same ditzy receptionist who stated, "He said it was a side effect and should wear off." To add insult to injury, isn't the reason people go to cosmetic offices is to look better/enhance their appearance? Welcome to the Cosmetic Liar Institute. Get ready to be zapped with exorbitant prices, inappropriate questioning, and a 2007 camera that takes photos of you standing on a stool naked in front of a bedsheet thumbtacked to the wall (never mind the fact that I'm a 16 year old girl). Once you complete their extensive questionnaire, which includes such non-medical inquiries as the high school/college you attended, the humiliating photo shoot begins. The predetermined prices were revealed to me only after being photographed, which leaves me wondering what Dr. Mamari will do with my photos. He wanted $12,000 total for 4 treatments each of my armpits, legs, and bikini line. For reference, 4 treatments each of the same areas costs $1,600 total at Juvly (found online). After the "consultant" (not a doctor) asked my father if "you know what I mean" for the 10th time, we arose from the 10 year old couch and left our informational pamphlet on the bowed desk behind us. Had we spoken with Dr. Mamari, we would have scolded his high-pressure sales tactic and suggested he buy his employees some trousers that aren't falling apart. read more

This company is a a scam! I purchased 20 units of Dysport on Living Social for $125.00 which would be used for crows feet around both eyes. After waiting for thirty minutes after my appointment, I was taken into a room so an employee could talk yo me about finances before seeing the doctor. I had already paid for my 20 units and should have been able to just get my procedure completed. Oh noooooo-I was told that the $125.00 was for one eye! I told her that I've used Botox five times and it only takes 20 units for both eyes. She told me , " we just want you to be happy, we can't do ten units on each eye." I again told her, I've always used ten pr eye every other time! She said I would need to purchase the amount for the other eye. I then practically begged her ask him to just put ten units for each eye, as that is all I needed! She repeated agai that she just wants me to be happy. I told her I will be happy if they put the ten units for each eye. She walked out saying she couldn't do it and would talk to accounting about a refund. I explained that I had made this appointment four weeks prior and planned it around an activity for the upcoming weekend. I also explained that now I will have to possibly wait for another month to get on somewhere else! She didn't bridge. She apologized and excused me. After I left, I thought --they've got me, I'll just have to cough up another $125.00 and see if they can still do it today. They were able to squeeze me back in, but I was told that they're account ting department was already processing my refund and I would have to give them the full $250.00. I made the appointment but then realized that I didn't have the $250.00. I called to cancel due to lack of funds. I told them that I am the one who is supposed to cancel my Luving Social voucher, not them. I called Living asocial and talked to a very helpful and understanding lady. She called the Cosmetic a Laser Institute to inform them that my voucher was still good, then I would only have to pay the additional $125.00. She said they would not do it--I was still going to be able to make the time they squeezed me in before I had to cancel, so they could have do e it! This day has been aggravating, disappointing and embarrassing! Instead of the doctor simply putting ten units for each eye, he would t do it because he just had to get another $125.00. For him it's not much, for me it's a lot! I called a former med spa and both eyes were do e for 16 units! This is unbelievable---now I've had to post phone my activity that I had planned for next weekend and wait for three weeks to get I to a other place!!! All so they could make $125.00! I had no doubt that I was getting this done today because twenty units is what I've got 98% of the time! This was a horrible experience! I would not go there and go so we here where they do t try to add things on that are not needed! read more

I purchased a Groupon for Botox and Dr. Mamari has continued to honor that rate. I have visited several times - a short wait and not a heavy sales pitch. I have been to several different locations for Botox and this was the best rate. Most importantly, the results have been consistent with what I experienced in other facilities. read more

I went to see Dr Mamari after I purchased a groupon for $99 for botox. I should not have strayed from my normal doctor but the offer was good. I asked several times the meaning of the groupon (as some doctors charge per site some per unit etc.) I wanted my forehead and frown line done. I was told, on more than one occassion the groupon could be used for my forehead then they would honor the groupon price for my frown lines. My appt was @ 1. I did not see the doctor till 2:30! I was not happy. If i was 1.5hrs late they would have told me to reschedule. The procedure was okay.He injected me with botox on the forehead and in between my brows. I commented like ouch my other doctor usual numbs the area. Dr. Mamari's response was that numbing it actually causes the procedure to not last as long. When I checked out the receptionist said it was $200, which is $101 more than I was quoted. I said no thats not right so she changed it to the $99. I called a week ago because I still have pretty obvious frown lines and asked to be seen by the doctor because it obviously didnt take. So I went in today they took pics to compare. The asst. took me back and I said so the doctor looked at the pics and he agrees that it isnt enough between the brows. She replied yes then finally when I saw the doctor (45 min after my scheduled time) he completely misquoted when I was in and implied i was there as receiving a treatment I was paying for not as a result of it not being done correctly the first time. When I explained why I was there AGAIN he said I didnt get my brows done last time he simply used left over botox in that area and that my groupon cover one side of my forehead and I paid to have the other side done. Not at all what I was told when I went. This place is a complete rip off. Assuming they charge $200 per site on the forehead (my groupon was half off), it would cost $400 just to botox your forehead. And now I understand why they tried to charged me $200 on my initial visit. Im just glad I didnt get ripped off more. I will never be back and learned a valuable lesson to not cheat on Dr Donath from Cincinnati Facial Plastics in Kenwood. read more
