My friends and I stopped in for a late night treat. Cosmic Ice Cream is located in the same shopping strip as Jinya Ramen, Hash Kitchen, and Crawfish Café. The shopping strip is pretty busy, but parking wasn't an issue when we went. The space themed decor in the ice cream shop is really cute. I liked the mural that they had in store (makes for a great photo op)! There were a few customers in the shop, but the employees did a great job of keeping the line moving. I sampled a couple of flavors before deciding on the Cookie Monster which is blue dyed Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream. I opted for a waffle cone (which were being made in house). It was so good and very satisfying! They have quite a few "Always Flavors" on their menu as well as seasonal flavors. They also sell pints to go if you want to bring ice cream home with you. We sat inside for awhile to enjoy our ice cream. We didn't realize that they close at 10 pm. Luckily, the employees were nice and didn't rush us out. read more

I stopped by Cosmic Ice Cream today and had such a great experience. Finding out it was Black-owned after walking in made me even more excited to support. The flavors were incredibly unique and everything tasted homemade and intentional. I tried the banana pudding and chocolate milk & cookies ice cream, and both were AMAZING. The texture of the ice cream was so smooth and creamy, and even the cone had the perfect texture and crunch. You can tell a lot of care goes into what they make here. Cosmic Ice cream As part of growing Pearland and some branded eateries making their way into the community, this is a local Texan ice cream store right beside Paris Baguette on Broadway. Its open till 10, which works great especially during the summer. There is plenty of parking nearby as it is located in a strip mall. And while they don't have patio, Hash Kitchen has a few, and some people just sat there and enjoyed the moon and the weather and their ice cream. The store has choices that are limited but flavors are distinct. They do give out samplers and between me and my group I think we tasted every single flavor they have in store. Our order consisted of: Cookie Monster - vanilla dyed blue with chunks of cookies here and there, in a waffle cone topped with sprinkles - the kid really enjoyed it. Simple Vanilla in a suger cone - ya, I ended up settling for the simplest one which is the only one I generally finish. The vanilla bean is obtained from Madagaskar . There was rich creamy taste and not very sugery which, I loved very much. We also got a flight, which is 4 mini cups with one scoop of any ice cream. The Pinapple upside down was especially very interesting, juicy, fruity with little cherries here and there. Liked the birthday cake too, most places the cake gets soo frozen it is hard to mix the flavors and enjoy but here the cake was very much edible, so, it was i e cream cake in a cup ! The cookies and cream was chocolaty, creamy, again not too sweet, just enough to want more The other interesting flavor was Cafe de Abuelita - literally translated to coffee a la grandma- this was coffee, with a hint of cinnamon and chocolate. Very nice. I could imagine myself drinking in the morning like cold coffee . There are only 3 stores in Texas including Pearland and that makes them exclusive. Service was fast. I visited the store on Wednesday and it was pleasant. The staff were friendly and attentive. Unfortunately they didn't have lemon. I tried 2 flavors but decided on Strawberry and cream, which was heavenly. I got the dish referred to as nachos. With triangle pieces of waffle cones as the chips. My friends and I came when we needed dessert after crawfish. We ordered the ice cream flight with 4 options for variety. The ice cream flavors we picked was s'mores, strawberry, salted caramel and banana pudding. The salted caramel was my favorite, with the salt really balancing out the sweetness well. The strawberry ice cream was a refreshing choice which tasted fresh. Banana pudding and s'mores were flavorful. Staff were friendly and area was clean! Cosmic Ice Cream is one of Pearland's newest ice cream shops and it sure did hit the spot in the summer. This is their third location in the Greater Houston area and is located in the popular new shopping strip with all the new, popular restaurants. Came here on a random weekday with a gal pal so parking was not an issue. During peak times, parking can be a little rough in that lot. This spot is more roomy than their Webster location, but it seemed like they did alot of take out orders as no one was sitting inside. A nice bench or seating area outside would be a nice addition. There was a line but the awesome gals behind the counter kept it moving. They were super helpful and had no issues letting people sample before making a final decision on the flavors they wanted. When it comes to ice cream, my go to is anything that is similar to cookies and cream. Their version is the Chocolate Milk and Cookies. I already knew I liked this flavor so I got a scoop of that as my first out of two scoops. The next flavor that stood out to me was the Campfire S'mores flavor. I am a sucker for anything s'mores and what they created here was pure deliciousness. They did a toasted marshmallow ice cream with chocolate swirl and graham cracker pieced. It was different in a great way and so good. It was equally as good as my other scoop. My date got the Banana Pudding scoop on a waffle cone. Just like the other scoops we got, this was very tasty as well. My only complaint was that we decided to eat outside and yes it's summer, but it was late evening and our ice cream was a drippy mess before we even sat down. It was very soft serve to begin with. Maybe if it was a little colder it might have kept some of it's integrity just a tad bit longer. Either way, it was delicious and eaten with a quickness. I like this place alot because everything is made in house and they have some really cool flavor creations. It's always fun to walk in and see what kind of seasonal additions they have. I'm not usually impressed by ice cream spots but the flavors here we tried all hit surprisingly well. I tend to expect things to taste as expected or under flavored but Cosmic Ice Cream immediately hits you and makes you think "Yep I taste all those ingredients". Honey Lavendar was my favorite. We ordered a waffle wall for a little more and it made it the perfect after dinner dessert. Even the small was a good size for 2 to share. Other flavors we tried like the Mango Sorbet and Salted Caramel were just as great honesty so it was hard to choose. My only ding for the shop was both workers were pretty quiet and didn't attempt to engage or make a recommendation. We had to ask if we could sample rather than being offered to which I feel is often asked at other places. Honestly though, a very minor mark cause the ice cream here is worth coming for regardless. read more

I prefer just fresh...but it wasn't bad. Son had his plain Jane vanilla bean waffle cone...he's super picky but no complaints! The place was clean and the setup was nice. The workers were patient and allowed us to try out some flavors. I tried the carrot cake, and birthday cake flavors and one more flavor. The flavors that I sample just didn't do it for me so I passed. However my husband got the peanut butter cup flavor with chocolate sauce and that one actually was pretty good. My kid got the salted caramel and she said it was good. I guess the flavors I tried weren't. read more

I came across Cosmic Ice Cream while checking out a neighboring business . The ice cream is fantastic ! I love the decor and the variety of seating options. There are some cool photo opportunities with signage , neon lights and art decor. I visited later in the evening and the customer service was great. I tried the Bride of Frankenstein and it blew me away. The raspberry swirl is very fresh and the almond flavor really pairs well with the wedding cookie cake pieces. The workers also let me sample the honey lavender flavor and it was so good that I purchased a pint lol. Great spot to take kids and the spoons that come with the purchase are color changing...surely a win for kids and big kids ( adults like me lol) alike . I LOVE Cosmic Ice Cream! This is going to be a half and half review. I always love getting the honey lavender ice cream in a cone. It's the best! I went in yesterday around 6:30pm, and the two workers that were there didn't greet anyone upon arrival...they just stared at me or whoever walked in. I know kids nowadays aren't as social, but a "welcome in" would be cool. It's happened before! And sadly, when I checked out, there was hair and ice cream drippings on the counter close by the register. It wasn't the most pleasant sight to see, and it didn't appear that the young lady at the register was bothered about cleaning it up. Again, I love, cosmic, ice cream, but the lack of a welcome and the dirty countertop kinda made me feel icky yesterday about this visit. And I've never felt this way before when coming to visit this ice cream shop. I'm sure a little training can lead to improvement in service! read more
