Norman cut my son's hair he did an amazing job under the circumstances. My son is on the spectrum and is extremely difficult when cutting his hair. He was crying, screaming, and rolling around on the floor. I had to transfer him to a seat where he cannot move. Although my son was moving so much I appreciate Norman's patience and the care and respect that he treated my son with. I was recommended to come here by a friend since there aren't many places for kids haircuts in Bakersfield. We had the best experience! Katerina cut my son's hair and she was so sweet, patient, fast, and also made sure she really got all of the cut even and lined up. The cars that the kids get to sit in are super cute and keep the kids entertained. They even have a TV at each station that they play cartoons to keep the kids entertained as well. Oh and she even blew bubbles for him!! They have a little princess station as well for the girls that was super cute. Took our son here about a month ago for a haircut and we are so happy that another kid friendly salon has finally opened up after the one on Rosedale closed. We booked an appointment with Carolina and she was great about easing our son into the chair since he has sensory issues and a huge phobia when it comes to razors/haircuts. We are from out of town and needed a last minute haircut for my husband and son and they got us in within an hour! My 1 year old son loves cars and I thought he would love the atmosphere with all the monster trucks and McQueen items and he loved all the cars and TVs. The salon is designed so perfect! We were hoping that my husband going first would allow for my son to watch and want to go next but he was definitely not an easy client whatsoever (Sorry!!!!) but Izaak handled it amazing!!! He didn't budge one bit and kept going, brought out bubbles and turned on several different TVs to try to get him to calm down. This was such an over the top experience! I brought my 6 year old for her first hair cut and I brought her 2 year old brother along. He got to play with toys in their little play room up front and was completely occupied and having a great time while my little girl got to chose her seat and what she wanted to watch during her hair cut! They have movies and even Xbox games for them to play while they get their hair cut. The girls were so sweet and loving to my little one and they both got suckers. Each haircut section has its own little theme from monster trucks to princesses. When she was done she got to pick out a bow included with her cut. And she styled it how she wants, a pony tail. Awesome barber / salon for young your kids! My son loves it and is eager to go back for a haircut which is great since he usually throws a fit when it's time to go to the barber. The haircut they gave my son came out great! We've tried maybe 5 different barbers and they were all fine but once we're home and a day goes by it's difficult to style his hair with the way they cut it. My sons hair is hard to style since he has very thick wavy hair that can have a mind of it's own most days and I hasn't figured out yet what direction it wants to go and what style would be best for it. Here they cut his hair in a way that is SO easy for me to style and looks great and works so well with his hair. I was thankful to find this place right before school started.
