After purchase, you're given a key for the shoe locker, uniform, and towel. From there you go to the men's or women's locker room and that same key opens your clothes locker. Your gender specific pool is right off that locker room and clothing is optional. It is a bit of a maze to get to the saunas, cafe, and restaurant (Signage or instructions would be helpful) to the saunas! I did the red clay and got to lay in beads in a room that was 142 degrees, relaxing ! From there I went up the stairs to my massage. The best 30 minute massage in my life! Yes she is walking on you with the most talented toes and heels. It felt like a trip to the chiropractor and masseuse in one!! Please be aware of the pricing. A tip is expected and if you don't know and guess at a gratuity that's not close to the mark, you'll hear about it (ask me how I know ;).

The bade pool has always been one of my favorite parts of Spa World and is normally around 95-98°F, a comfortable temperature for soaking before a Korean body scrub. Today it was hovering between 102-103°F--essentially hot-tub temperature. Even the kiddie pool was too hot. In the middle of a D.C.-area heat wave, who wants to come inside from 90+ degree weather and soak in 102-degree water? On a Sunday, the usually busy bade pool was practically empty, with people instead hovering around the ice plunge because there really wasn't a comfortable-temperature pool to use. I let the attendant know and another staff member. No change. This is especially frustrating because you're supposed to soak for about 30 minutes before a body scrub to soften the skin. I couldn't comfortably do that and had to use the showers instead. Management showed no interest in adjusting the pool temperature or otherwise addressing the problem. I was still paying the now-$150 price for my 50-minute spa special scrub. I simply asked that they refund my $25 admission because the primary facility I came to use was essentially unusable. The manager looked at me like my request was ridiculous and refused and insisted the temperature of the main pool fluctuates. (Of course it does, but NOT THAT HOT!) After more than 15 years as a loyal customer, it's astonishing that Spa World would rather lose me as a customer than address the problem or refund $25. I won't be back.

This place is so clean. There are several lounge chairs to relax. The staff were friendly. A few take away: *Bring your ID~ I change purses so much but luckily they accepted my ID on my phone . *Carry a very small purse or fanny pack for lotion and chap stick/gloss because being in the heated rooms definitely drys your lips and skin out. *Bring some socks because the room full of rocks is definitely hard on your feet. *Weekdays are cheaper and less crowded. I want to warn others about the practices I witnessed during my time there. one night shift i was closing and after i closed everything during the middle of the night,robbery occurred, and I had no idea at the time. The robber took around $400, and it wasn't until the next day that the opener saw the key still in the lock and noticed something was off. To make matters worse, the cameras "didn't work," or so I was told, and when I asked about the footage, I was told it would be available to HR. However, I never got to see anything. A couple of weeks later, I was called in for a meeting and was wrongfully accused of taking the money. They claimed they had footage of me taking it, but when I asked to see it, they kept saying they would "show me later." I never saw it, and ultimately, they just terminated me. To top it off, they threatened to involve the police, but I never received any report, and no further action was taken. It felt like they were simply looking for someone to blame, and I was the next in line, especially since others before me had been fired under similar circumstances. In addition to the unjust termination, my experience working there was less than ideal. There were constant complaints from customers about upcharges--something I also noticed during my time at the company. We were instructed to upcharge without clear explanations, which led to a lot of frustrated customers. Additionally, cancelling memberships was a nightmare. Only the manager could do it, and she would always come up with excuses to delay or avoid doing so, which added to the frustration of both the customers and employees. Overall, I do not recommend working at Hand & Stone, nor would I recommend it as a business for customers. They don't prioritize the well-being or fair treatment of their employees, and they seem more focused on finding ways to take money from customers rather than provide genuine service. If you're considering working there, or becoming a customer, my advice is to look elsewhere DO NOT EVER COME HERE!! THEY SCAM YOU TOO

We spent an hour on just my upper body and after getting out alll of the knots, he found the one big one on my side body that was causing a lot of the trouble. It was definitely a bit uncomfortable in the moment (a necessary evil lol), but I immediately felt relief when he was done, improved every day after, and am now feeling back to normal. Thank you sooo much Dino!! You are certainly an expert and I'll be back if I have any similar issues.
