I have had several services performed here, but have stopped coming due to sloppy and deceptive business practices. Pros: the practitioners who perform the services are wonderful, knowledgeable, effective Cons: everything else....I have experienced double booked appointments where they made me wait a long time and no apologies or reasons given....they seem to keep losing track of how much credit I have left available on my account (instead of physical gift cards, they just add the money to your account with them)....do not rely on them to adequately track how much you have left on account with them....it will likely be less than reality....make sure you use what's available to you. read more

Highly disappointed. Scheduled a microdermabrasion only to find out that the front desk assistant, Olivia, let me know that since I arrived 11 minutes after my appointment time they would need to reschedule me or only be able to offer an express service since they had a 4:45pm appointment coming in and it would cause a conflict. We're talking eleven minutes people lol I just came from work and showed up ready with my new patient forms filled out to make it easy as possible to get started. I was treated poorly and without an effort to make things work. It was reschedule or take a lesser service. Not what anyone wants when they go in for an appointment especially when it has to do with hair or skin. This is horrible scheduling and bad service to turn away a new client like that. I had high hopes and am extremely disappointed, as I was looking forward to having a go to place for my skin. Extremely disappointed. Also tried calling to share this with the manager but the phone line is busy or not working. read more

I was going to be 10 min. late to appointment and called to let them know. Told me they couldn't take me and then 17 min. Later called me back to let me know it would be okay. I already turned around and was headed back home. The whole situation was totally ridiculous and I guess they aren't interested in making money. I won't be going back to this place. Never again. It started out that they would not use the filler that I requested. After multiple times of debating with the aesthetician, they insisted on using another filler which they said would not cause lumps. (It in fact did cause multiple lumps.) They did not give me any lidocaine or anything prior to injecting at least 15 injections in one side of my face and 10 in the other- which of course did not come out evenly. THEN... after the torture session, they decided to SAVE some of the filler which I recommended them to use on the other side of my face to make it evenly distributed because I could already see it would not end up even. They refused and asked me to come back in 2 weeks and they would use the rest of the filler. I contacted the manager who said that it was all normal best practices. I asked her to see someone else- she said it was not possible. I have to see the same person. I asked for compensation for the part of the filler they were saving for me which somehow I do not think is sanitary. But that is just my opinion. The manager said no. Lesson learned? Grow old gracefully and accept it OR don't believe the hype. read more

This is a decent place. I've been here a few times for treatments. Staff is pleasant. My only complaint is that they offer Botox happy hours for $10 a unit on certain days but by the time they email the monthly calendar with the those certain days and specials, it is mid month and all appointments are booked. My suggestion is: please email your monthly "specials"calendar in advance or at least prior to the month that is being advertised. read more

As a woman who's well into her 30's I recently began noticing the coming of the signs of aging. The years of abuse to my skin are starting to show. We all think when we are young our face will never wrinkle or sag and we are forever young. NOT THE CASE! So when I rec'd the Groupon for a Silk Peel I figured why not? I was always curious about medspa's services. I made an appt and they were very flexible about changing times and dates with the blizzard and issues getting to work (I work across the street so it's very convenient). I checked in with the receptionist and they were very friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxing. I sat in the waiting room while I filled out my forms. Once in the consultation room...my esthetician, Billy told me my options after she did the Visia skin analysis. She explained very clearly what my skin issues were and what procedures would help and how much they would cost. When it was time for my microdermabrasion, I went to a different room which was very confortable. Billy did a great job with the Silk Peel. I was very happy with the experience. I will probably go back and get more services done in the future. I can see it may become addicting. They do have lots of specials on their website and if you sign up for the newletter you get a $25 off coupon on a service over $100. I got groupon for silk peel and was a little bit worry . I shouldn't :) Spa is very nice a they make me feel comfortable and relax. I had a filler consult with Jennifer, and was very impressed. I went in wanting to begin researching fillers and options for under eye hollows and loss of cheek volume. (generally old lady droopiness) LOL Although this was just a consult, and I didn't purchase anything or make any further appointments (at this time), I really wanted to write this review because I was so impressed with my visit. Jennifer really listened to me, and answered all of my questions. I never felt pressured to purchase anything. I felt very comfortable, and like I was having a conversation with a friend. My favorite place to get botox and lip injections done! If you live in the DMV area and are going somewhere else, you are missing out! After having a less than impressive experience with Botox at another establishment, I decided to give Radiance a try. I'm so glad I did. I did a consult with Eve, who really listened to me and a did a great assessment and plan. Jennifer did my Botox injections, and also really listened to me and did a fantastic job. It was my first time here, I got a customized facial which was about $115. It's a very nice spa and the esthetician was nice and very knowledgeable. She was telling what are the best products for my skin and teaching me things I did not know. But I was really hoping to relax and wind down when I initially booked this appointment. Of course, I was there mainly to get a facial and clean my skin but I did not feel relaxed whatsoever. I was hoping I would be changed into a robe and be wrapped up in a cozy blanket with the lights dimmed out and serene music in the background. Instead, the lights were so bright and I was laying in this hard bed with no blanket. The whole time the esthetician was talking and It was not relaxing at all. She did a good job with the facial but I will not be coming back. If I'm going to be paying over a $100 for a facial I expect it to be more of a calming and relaxing experience. read more

I went in for juvederm in my lips and it was awful! The were done unevenly and way over filled. I ended up spending $550 at a plastic surgeon to have the juvederm removed. The plastic surgeon couldn't believe how uneven and over filled my lips were. I looked AWFUL. Going here was a very expensive mistake. read more

I was extremely pleased with the results of my IPL facial to eliminate dark spots. The staff was friendly, facility was clean and comfortable. Most importantly the technicial, who was a nurse practitioner, was kowledgeable and did a good IPL. The treatment is a little uncomfortable but the technician used an iced roller on my face several times duringand after the treatment which definitely helped with what is a slightly uncomfortable procedure; it feels like a rubber band at half velocity hitting you in the face multiple times. The nurse did make two passes over my entire face, and left the laser on a bit longer where the dark spots were especially dark. I was not prepared for the slight smell of burning skin but that was minimal. After the treatment was over, my face was slightly red at first but not as much as a sunburn. A few days after the treatment I had a bit of lumpiness (swellilng) on my cheeks but that went away after about 3 days and was not visible to others. What lasted a bit longer was a few mini-black spots where the skin was particularly dark but it was easily covered with a thicker makeup. The dark spots dropped off after about 7-8 days. The technician alerted me to all of these potential issues in advance. The one issue I did not expect and which only lasted 4-5 days, was water retention under one eye which persisted inthe morning after waking each day. Minimal problem. Overall, I am extrmeley pleased with the results and would go back to Radiance MedSpa in Fairfax. I expect it to take at least one or two more treatments to get rid of all of the dark spots on my face - then I want to do my arms. read more

One of the reasons why I enjoy coming here is beacause it's peaceful and non pretentious. The staff looks normal and not overly done. They do not try to sell you products that you are unfamiliar with and really listen to your concerns and dont derail you with other things that you are not yet ready for. I ask specific questions about my skin care and she took inventory of what my normal activities and was able to recommend from there...what I needed to do for my skin. I've been a loyal Radiance customer for almost four years now and I absolutely love it! I recently moved from Fairfax to Fredericksburg and continue to make the drive to the spa, because I just haven't found another one that compares. I regularly come in for the Utlimate Peel (PCA peel/Silk-peel) combo, and my skin consistently looks amazing! I'm 28 and previously had pretty severe adult acne and pigmentation issues, and they have both completely resolved. I now have beautiful, clear, glowing skin on a regular basis. I've also tried the IPL here, with great results. Michelle and Billy are both AWESOME and extremely knowledgeable estheticians, who go out of their way to explain anything you don't understand and make you feel comfortable. The front desk staff is also so friendly and sweet! Love, love, love Radiance. I have been in a few times now and cannot say how much I love this place. I leave refreshed, looking younger, and relaxed. I have had the IPL photofacial (great for getting rid of awful tiny red veins around the nose area as well as aging spots), and LOVE try the peels ... my skin was fresh and glowing for weeks! I had a silk peel done at Radiance Med Spa Fair Lakes. I was happy with the silk peel procedure and a day later happy with the way my skin looks. The only downside was at the end of my silk peel the esthetician put makeup on my skin. A tinted moisturizer and some type of powder. I just had a skin procedure done I wanted my skin to rest and breathe not have makeup put on. I would return and have the procedure done again. I would just ask not to have makeup put on after. read more
