Not sure about some of these negative reviews? Helen's been cutting my hair now for many many years! She's fast and efficient, does an amazing job and a pleasure to chat with! If you don't like the service, then call the home office to complain. Helen's store is always sorely understaffed and she does the best she can to satisfy everyone pretty much working by herself! I saw some recent better reviews, and gave this place a chance. Oh well. The stylist spent no more than 7-10 minutes on my hair cut. I requested an undercut, and got shorter layers on top instead. of underneath. The transition from the front to the back of my head was choppy - she only twisted my hair, then never went back to straighten the line. So I did it at home with kitchen scissors. I would have done better using internet instructions for do it yourself haircuts. read more

Not sure what is up with several other reviews because my experience was great. People are very picky about their hair and I get it. I had the same stylist for 25 years. However Faye at Cost Cutters has a great attitude and is good at what she does for a reasonable price. If you are looking for coloring or a complete makeover you may want to do research but for a more simple cut or trim this is a fine place to go. read more

Recently stopped in for a pretty simple mens cut, soft fade on the sides and scissor cut on top. At first the back of my head and front of my head were all just one length and it looked really bad so I asked the girl to fix that. I ended up with a weird bowl cut and asked the girl to redo it again, ended up looking somewhat like a crazy person as the top was left completely disproportionate to the sides. Ended up having to book another haircut at a different place. The barber there said the haircut was so messed up they would just recommend a buzz cut to fix it. Really don't recommend going here, they just seem completely inexperienced and you'll just end up having to book a second haircut somewhere else to fix what they did. read more

I made an appointment at about 10:00am for a 4:00pm appointment. I went in and the person cutting my hair acted like I was committing an atrocity by showing up to cost cutters to get my haircut. She was incredibly rude the whole time and put in absolutely no pride into her work. Once she was "finished" she asked "is that good?", my hair line and sideburns were uneven and I responded with "if I put on a hat it'll be ok". She took that as it being an acceptable haircut. I got my haircut by Faye and she is so talented and friendly and listens exactly to what you want. I needed a trim and I didn't want much cut off but after meeting Faye I realized she is the real deal asked her to cut off all of my dead ends. I have one of the best hair cuts I have ever had!! I 100% regret spending $60 on the same thing in the past when I could have just gone to Faye for $22. I am very specific in what I want so if she could give me a cut I love that says a lot. I took my son in for a trim and the lady with red curly hair buzzed it down to an inch. I even showed her the pic of how I wanted it cut. This is by far the worst hair cut he has ever had and to top it all we now have to rIe schedule his 3 yr pics because it looks so bad! It's not even either. DO NOT go here for a hair cut. I'm 4 months postpartum and was really needing a pick me up and I got the complete opposite. I walked out in tears because at the end of my hair cut I was told "maybe it will look better if you run the straightener through it". Ever been to a place you know is going to be a 'hit or miss'? I would say this Cost Cutters is it. After reading over all the reviews, I would say I am pretty accurate in my conclusion. I have been going to this cost cutters since 2007, maybe even 2006. Not only have I gone here, but my mom did, my brothers did, me ex (when we were together) did and all our boys. During that time I have gotten to know Kari, Helen, Vivian, Heather, Dolores, and several others who have come and gone, or come and gone and then came back again. My favorite's are Helen and Heather, gotta love someone with the same name! To the ladies and gents with the reviews who were bad, I feel compassion for you because I have had some bad experiences here too. I think Dolores is a nice lady, but one time she burned my neck and then pulled on my hair with the flat iron. I am sure she didn't do it on purpose but at the time I don't think is as self-aware of what she is doing as the others. Wen I want something specific, I ask for it and I also ask for a specific stylist. Each off them have their strong suits. Example: Kari is a visionary to me, she can picture it, she can do it. She also makes it right. As the manager (I believe) she wants all her customers happy. Cost Cutters does have a policy on this too, so if EVER there is an issue, go talk to Kari. Vivian is awesome, she might be a small little petite lady, but her hands are magical when she does a great scrub wash on your head. I love her massages over the years. When she has her nails done, the massage experience is ahhh-mazing! Helen...what can I say about awesome Helen. I remember in 2007 paying her $75 to stay open late and do my hair for a date. It wasn't anything 'fancy', but she agreed. I drove over there like a bat outta hell. She is always friendly, but she gets the job done. I like her best because I have gone to her longest, she also doesn't BS. I like her real attitude. Heather, sweet Heather. She reminds me of what all Heather's should be like. Sweet, kind, helpful, compassionate. She has cared about my concerns with hair for a long time. She knows I hate how 'oily' it gets. I am scared to try and curl it. Sometimes I want to try something new, but then I don't. I haven't had bangs in decades and I don't layer my hair. I have done some highlights and lowlights. Those I may do again. She is also one of the best (along with Helen) at the tea tree experience. I started going to Allison at another Cost Cutters because I was rather put off one time on how my hair was done. I 'speak' with my wallet. However, Allison was at the Cost Cutters in Wheat Ridge, which is no longer (Starbucks is there now), then she went to the one on Sheridan in Arvada, that one now is also shut down. She is now at Super Cuts near the Westminster mall (or what is left of it). It isn't always convenient to go THAT FAR EAST & NORTH just to get my hair done. So I may have to give my local Cost Cutters another go ahead. Yesterday Dolores did my hair and I was pleasantly surprised. She is always talkative, nice and friendly. I think that is who she is, but I admit I have worried on her doing my hair more than a 'trim' or just a style. Yesterday I just wanted a wash and she did a great job, I loved the massage too. She even wanted to blow-dry my hair (as I always have) but the other lady said they were too busy and she did tell me on the phone I could use the dryer. I gave Dolores a nice tip, because this time she did great. As I said, I feel bad for those who have had bad experiences. For Summit, Cost Cutters is EXTREMELY affordable and easier to get in than some of the other salons. Everyone has off days. The girl with Dolores yesterday must have had an off day. She was curt, almost to the point of rude. She seemed pushy to me, but that is up for interpretation. So if you ever go back, call ahead of time! That is my #1 thing to say.Call and schedule the time with the person you WANT! I think Heather and Helen are rock stars, same with Vivian and Kari. They have been there the LONGEST too. I am sure the other ladies are good and I am sure they have done my hair before. However, i would still use these four ladies I mentioned to have that confidence in my hair! read more

Brought our children here yesterday.. Daughters came out fine but our sons came out awful! The front is not straight, it's cut all around the edges instead of blended in and it was supposed to be longer on top and it's just all the same length with sloppy edges and a crooked front. Wasted the time, money and drive. We have school photos on Monday and we are stuck with this terrible haircut. She took all of ten minutes and did a terrible job. read more

After several attempts to make an appointment for my 15 month oldtoddler, I finally succeeded in doing so. We showed up 5 minutes early and we were shown his chair on time. However, surprisingly the lady thought he would easily & calmly sit down in a booster. Ha! I held him in my arms as she hurriedly trimmed his hair. After 10 disturbing minutes, he looked presentable enough. so far so good except when I went to pay I was surprised to be charged $17.50...cost cutters I think not.More like COSTLY CUTS. I really like going to the Dillon Cost Cutters. My husband and I have been going there for the past 10+ years. Everyone is so friendly, and it's always clean. Kari is an outstanding stylist, she has seen me through many years from short to long hair, exploration of different styles and colors, and she always has me leaving the salon feeling pampered and beautiful. They do take walk-ins, but this is a really popular salon, so I usually try to schedule my visits ahead of time by calling the morning I want to go in. But this is a resort area, so weekends and holidays / high tourist seasons it might take a day's advance notice to get on their schedule, particularly for lengthy coloring services. read more

Worst hair cut I've ever had. The stylist literally made me cry. She asked me how much I wanted off (1-2 inches) and she took off 5-7. The right side is at least 2 or 3 inches longer than the other and she butchered my bangs. I have no idea how I'm going to hide them... I wish I could post pictures to this review. I lost all of my long hair when I just wanted a trim. Considering that my only request was a 3-month trim and that the damage she caused will take several years to repair, I'd advise you to STAY AWAY FROM COST CUTTERS in Dillon. read more

I'm a local and used to go in for my hair cuts when I was younger. Back then I didn't care about my hair or if the service sucked. I have to admit their service has improved and I got treated well. I went in for a hair cut and to dye my hair. I've heard horrible reviews about it but never thought it would be that bad. I asked for shape on my hair and to get just the tips trimmed, never imagined I would get it cut so short. When I saw my final results I knew I didn't like it and I informed them I didn't feel comfortable with the look. They told me it was a matter of getting used to. Weeks have passed and I absolutely hate my hair! I haven't taken any selfies and I hide from cameras. So much I've made an appointment to get hair extensions. The haircut plus dye cost me $180, my extensions will cost me $950. read more

My husband and I have attempted to get haircuts from here 3 times and it has been a horendous experience every time. The first time we waited in the parking lot for them to open, walked in right at open and the waiting room was already full and on a 3 hour wait! Tonight will definitely be the last time we attempt to go there.
