This barbershop is a complete joke. I was only 8 minutes late, and as a parent of a 7-month-old, just getting out of the house takes real effort. Instead of showing a shred of basic human understanding, they skipped me and started with someone else like my appointment meant nothing. Meanwhile, two barbers were literally sitting around doing NOTHING. I politely asked if one of them could take me. One of them answered with the most condescending, clown-level attitude, saying they "wouldn't do that to my stylist." Give me a break. These guys act like clowns who need a crash course in customer service, professionalism, and how to build loyalty--because right now, they have NONE. And the worst part? You can literally see their ugly demeanor toward other unsatisfied customers too. It's not just me--they treat people poorly across the board. The hair cuts at this place are great but the customer service is lacking depending on who you interact with. Even after being a regular for years if you need to reschedule because life happens and you get caught in a work emergency they will charge you, no grace, no understanding. If you do go here try to get Cai he's great, great cuts puts the effort in and tries to treat you right. Unfortunately I've stopped going here because the shop just doesn't treat people with kindness and understanding. So bummed right now. Got jerked around for an hour for my appointment. Told I was "couple minutes away". I had been a long time customer of this shop, and was pretty much treated like a loser today. 5 minutes late for an appointment is barely acceptable in my opinion, 1 hour is like getting a swift kick in the nuts. I'm so bummed. I was late for an appointment because of me waiting around, and wanting to look good for it. So I then looked like a jerk for being late, and I'm letting it fire me up and cause a shitty mood for the rest of the day. I know you guys are anxious to get back to work and make money (just like the rest of us), and make money you were, cause I saw a bunch of guys come and go while I stood around like a total ass. I won't be back. Really bummed. *Update* The owner of the shop did call me personally and apologize. He felt horrible. I certainly accept his apology at full value and will definitely give them another chance. I've been getting haircuts at Gentlemen's Barber Shop for 6 or 7 years. Great service. Cool atmosphere. The barbers are great guys that value quality and service. It is true that you need to make appointments in advance due to the high demand. I've been there when customers walk in and ask for an appointment. The guys are booked and can't usually accommodate, so they'll usually ask the walk-up to schedule an appointment online. Just because a client isn't sitting in a chair doesn't mean that the barber doesn't have a scheduled client that is about to walk in the door. I've seen this happen probably a dozen times. So if you want a great experience, go online and book your appointment a couple of days in advance. It's worth it. read more

All three barbers provide service that greatly exceeds expectations and in a county dominated by the service industry, these guys lead the way, hands down. The simple online reservation system, the cheerful welcome, the old school vibe, the plush chairs and ice cold beer in the fridge make you want to come early to enjoy some quality conversation. The exceptional cut (plus straight razor neck trim!) will leave you feeling fresh and fly for weeks. Reasonably priced as well. I keep my hair short and require little more than a bit of blending with the clippers and am charged accordingly. I wandered in not knowing I needed a reservation. Drew (one of the barbers)was very accommodating and was able to squeeze me in with no problem. The barbers are very polite and very professional. The place has that traditional barber shop feel and the decor takes you back in time. Another thing that sets this place apart, is that they offer free beverages. GBS was able to fit him a day after we called (though they gave him the option of going online and booking there- and keeping an eye out for any cancellations). His haircut was, without doubt, one of the best I've seen on him (I believe the gentleman's name was Steve?). It was like a fade/undercut fusion, and it was wonderful. They also trimmed up his eyebrows and gave him a beer in the process. I wandered around frisco while he was at his appointment, and it took much shorter than I thought (enough time for me to find a great shop though haha). Go for it! I'm a bald-ish man who can easily and cheaply buzz my own head without anyone noticing its non-professional outcome. Went in for the bald man special. Steve cut the hair, tapered the nape, finished the top and the neck with a straight razor. Hot towel, cold towel, several moisturizing lotions. All together, took around 45 minutes!! $21 + tip, and I walked out feeling like a celebrity. I doubt many would notice the difference between my normal DIY buzz cut and this pro cut, but to me, it was the best $26 I've spent in a while. Go for it! read more
