Use it or lose it??!!…read more I know everybody that's a local. Turlock wants to support their Brick + Mortar grocery store that is family owned. But when you continuously get outdated boxed food or sour grape grapes or fruit that is rotten the money starts to add up that you spend here. I love this grocery store because the people are all very kind to you and you get used to seeing them. But they need someone to do quality control when they bring in the fruit and vegetables. One out of three times the fruit is rotten or un edible. Please people check dates on boxes and check the fruit before you buy it.

I…read morerequested a small coffee in a large cup with heavy cream on the side as Emily was taking my order another customer service person was in the back who was changing the garbage bags grab the cup and proceeded to get the coffee without taking her gloves off or washing her hands I expressed my concern with what I just witnessed and I explained that I did not want that coffee the young lady who was changing the garbage began to defend herself saying she was just changing the bag. This to me was disgusting. Emily immediately recognized as I looked at her and said I don't want that and she says you know what I'll take care of you and did she take care of me she took time while there was a line and made the coffee fresh and made the order correct in any other items that I needed was able to fulfill the order that I had placed. Her level of customer service should be recognized and I just wanted to say thank you to her for supporting me. No one knows what people are going through in their lives especially when it pertains to health and that simple gesture was absolutely everything that I needed.

Upon returning to the store, the cashier who checked me out was herself getting ready to buy some groceries (I assume her shift had just ended). She saw me asking if I was in need of any help. I explained my issue, and she left her place in line and proceeded to help me. This cashiers name was Peanut, and she is why I'm taking the time to leave a 5 star rating! The 99-cent Store could use some serious consulting with Smart & Final Extra! that's for sure AND the 99-cent store has OFFICIALLY circled the drain since it appears its ownership may have transferred owners/leasers. Either way, the 99-cent store just doors down from this awesome Smart & Final Extra! has officially crossed-over into a "Ghetto Storefront" I'm saddened to say...Yet, I digress... I mainly patron this storefront for the LARGE VARIETY of Torani Sugar-Free Syrups that me and my mother have been enjoying since 2002 I'd say. We used to be limited, to purchasing online, since way back then, due to our low-carb lifestyle but now Smart & Final Extra! has made purchasing & enjoying sugar-free syrup living super easy to access & afford. I use the Peach, Strawberry (very authentic berry flavor & bright red color) the black cherry, and the "new" sweetened with/out sugar, Vanilla offerings monthly. It's great to scoop up several bottles that are affordable & get utilized weekly. Just one area of request Smart and Final Extra! is this: Would you please consider offering DaVinci Sugar Free BANANA syrup? This mail-order Pea Protein from Swanson does NOT TASTE LIKE PEA's as many do. It's sorta Vanilla-ea in flavor. Back to this storefront. I really like Smart & Final Extra and their "electronic coupons". If you can figure out how to use their "App.", you can save lots of money on their weekly sales because you must use the App. to obtain the savings.
