Dishonest business. Had them less than a month and over them. Split my down-payment into two , whi h I appreciated. Didn't tell me the 2nd payment was AUTOMATICALLY coming out 2 weeks later. The agent led me to believe I was going to make it with my next payment due for the following months payment. To my surprise! Snuck it into the paperwork and never mentioned once either. Guess thats the price i pay for not reading every word. I dont know how I got stuck with Cost U Less but when I had Aceptance​ I never had problems like this.. must be some broker or merger or something. I got a quote and was scammed into signing the contract because I trusted Lesly Ramirez but the policy was completely different than the quote she gave me over the phone. Horrible customer service! Don't bother even trying. Javier M. was/is always the only person working. He refuses to look at you. He's shifty eyes are everywhere but you. He emailed my docs & when I was slow receiving them, he printed them out and tossed them to me out of sequence for my signature. He seemed quite inconvenienced. He took a call for another policy inquiry as I sat at his desk. The overall experience made me second guess my decision. Cut to a week or so later I needed to update my policy to an older vehicle, which should have a lower premium. No, he charged me $100.00 to change the policy. I had $40 cash on me, he liked in my hands while I was counting. (rude) He said " I'll take that." Forget the fact that that was my last cash till months end. The next day, I get a call from some rude, pushy, unprofessional, dirt bag, demanding that I pay the $60 from the previous day. I was confused, I'm in collections and being pressed from a transaction one day before? ABSOLUTELY UNETHICAL! I received calls for the next two days from the Cost U Less cartel I had, had enough. I returned to the Jefferson Blvd. Location and canceled. I was so stressed out, and caught off guard that this time, I was the one trying to rush through things. This Javier acted so surprised that I was receiving harassing calls. I said, hmm, I wonder where and how these I'll mannered collections agents got my contact info from. I had to wait two weeks and only received 1/3 of my money back. I returned to the location in West Sac, to inquire about the remaining balance owed to me. Javier came to the locked door, saw me and went right back to his dusty desk as if I did not exist. He proceeded to tell me he was the best in the business and I should've been grateful for him "having my back". Dude, it's auto insurance, not a meet up at the flag pole, fight after school. I asked him which company he used for auto and he said Progressive has better rates and there's no way he would use the very company he "worked" for. Wow. I had Allstate, I love Allstate and yes I'm going back. The only reason I went to Javier hell at Cost U Less is because I wanted to be street legal until my appointment with Allstate was completed. It's the law. Also with all the changes The State is making, you've gotta do what needs to be done or it's all bad. Save yourself the disrespect and DON'T go to Cost U Less insurance at all. I love this insurance company, I was having a problem with the Aspire insurance adjuster, supervisor, and additional adjuster of my case Lela not calling me back for nearly 2 weeks or calling back the shop with a decision to approve the supplemental invoice submitted. I called daily for almost two weeks no one would help me. I called the insurance commissioner and they recommended to call the manager. I called the Branch Manager, Javier Maciel, he was so kind and professional and immediately put me at ease. He said he would get this resolved immediately, within one hour, he had my adjuster on a three-way call and had my supplemental car invoice approved and emailed to me and to auto body expressions. If it was not for Javier, I would still be waiting for Aspire to call me back, my car was in pieces for 2 weeks because of Aspire adjuster not helping me or calling me back ever. The worst customer service on the planet! I wouldn't do business with this company ever. My sister had a policy with them and has tried to cancel the policy since August 2019. Every person she has spoken with tells you a different story about the early cancellation fees and termination process. Even though my sister followed every instruction from each associate, they are still are trying to extort her more money from a cancelled policy and trying to ruin her credit. If you need cheap insurance try another company. This review includes Stonewood Insurance and All Star General which are under the Cost-U-Less umbrella company. HORRIBLE!!!! read more
