After interviewing and getting estimates from 3 different companies I was about to pull the trigger and pay the amount that the other estimates had quoted because I thought they were "fair." I held off and made one more call through Angi. Mark reached out to me and he arrived the day before I was about to have another crew do the work. Mark did not know about my prior estimates. When he arrived I could tell he knew what he was talking about. Unlike the other contractors, he had samples, talked about drainage and quality of turf we could use. He also told me the area was small it could be done in one day (prior estimates were at least 3 days.) We told him we wanted decorated rock, picked it out and of course, he said "No problem" we can get that for you. Mark, although I hadn't told him this, he was nearly $1500.00 below the estimates we had been receiving. The price wasn't cheap, it was fair. In the end we were so pleased with the work and quality of product. Mark was honest, informative, knowledgeable and I had no doubt that our project was in good hands. Our experience with Costa Turf was perfect from beginning to end - including Aubrey (our first contact in the office) and Mark (the on-site contractor). They supplied us with many examples of turf, detailing the pluses and minuses of each (thickness, price, pet-friendly, and more). They also gave us addresses of past customers so that we could see our ideas executed. Mark (our contractor) listened carefully and patiently to what we were looking for in our front yard project, and then also offered up several ideas of his own, based on his past experiences. We liked his ideas better than our ideas, so we approved Mark's suggestions. His crew was very friendly and patient and knowledgeable as we had many questions, even on the day of installation. (The whole process took 1 day to complete.) And Mark came back several times after the job was completed to reinspect everything and make sure that we were happy. We have recommended Costa Turf to several of our friends already - and people that we don't even know have stopped by and commented on how great our yard looks! Our front yard is magnificent - incorporating both the beautiful turf and the rock garden that my wife wanted. When we do the back yard next year, we will definitely have Costa Turf handle that, as well! I also want to mention that the job had COMPLETE FOLLOW-THROUGH: The existing roots were dug out and removed along with about 2-3 inches of soil; all of the existing PVC sprinkler pipes were capped; and all of the refuse was removed and hauled away by the crew, leaving our yard pristine.
