We hired Grizzly for a third job and they continue to meet the really high standard we come to expect from this company. On our last project they set turf between flagstones in a small patio area and it turned out great! After the job we had a few requests and they helped us with all of them even after being paid in full. I would be surprised if Grizzly had the lowest prices but I promise they're worth the investment. They installed two turf lawns and this turf/flagstone patio with impeccable craftsmanship. While I initially had a positive experience with Grizzly Outdoor, I'm disappointed that the work only held up about 2.5 years (just after the warranty ended). When first completed, the turf looked great, the crew was professional and they installed it quickly, which is why I'm giving it 2 stars. 6 months in, I had significant weeds grow through the turf and was told to use weed killer/just pull them. It was a pain, but fine. Now less than 3 years later, the turf developed significant lumpiness throughout the yard with no signs of gophers or any other obvious cause. I reached out to Grizzly before writing this (as they asked in a response to another Yelp post), and they came out to assess it. They attributed it to natural settling and quoted a repair at 15% of the original project cost. They acknowledged the settling could happen again even after the repair and that they couldn't fully assess the underlying cause until the turf was already pulled back. So I'd be paying with no real diagnosis and no guarantee. Settling is also excluded from their warranty entirely as an environmental condition. I also did some research, and this degree of settling within three years isn't considered a normal outcome by industry standards. Combined with the initial weeds, I suspect they didn't adequately prepare the base before installing the turf. I wanted to be fair to them before posting this, which is why I reached out first but remain disappointed. Hindsight is 20/20 and I wish I had seen a review like this a couple years after installation so I could make a better long-term decision. read more

I am so thankful for Grizzly Outdoor. They transformed my patio to a functional space for my children and I. We first met with Jeremy, who proposed pavers and turf. We then met Clayton and his crew, who went over demolition, irrigation, and structural integrity. Kevyn was our project manager who kept in communication as best she could. We made several changes throughout our project which made things a bit hard for the team to keep track of. The installation date was changed the morning of, alterations were forgotten, and many emails had to be referred to. As much as I absolutely loved the work, their communication between teams could be improved. As a future customer, I would make sure to strictly email all alterations and avoid texting/calling as that's where miscommunication came from. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this company and would happily be back. It was much more pricey compared to other options, but the work speaks for itself. I'm so glad we chose Grizzly. We weren't the easiest of clients as far as changes/alterations - so we are totally empathetic of the lack of communication. I think this review is long overdue but I definitely want it to help other people who can't decide if this is a good company to work with. We're the type to get quotes from at least 2-3 places since we have no idea if we're being overcharged. We needed artificial grass for our frontyard so that there's no need for maintenance. We scheduled the last quote from grizzly outdoor and thought they were gonna be the most expensive for sure, just because their projects look amazing and the reviews are great, so we're like well if it's more expensive then we'll decide if we go with expensive but great or cheaper but good enough. We were pleasantly surprised that they were even cheaper! They went once to get measurements for the quote and to show us artificial grass options and explain the process of replacement, then they scheduled to do it in one day! They started right after we left for work in the morning and by the time we got back the new grass was already installed. We did see on our ring that they had multiple people who worked on it. Grizzly Outdoor installed artifical turf in a 1,600+ sq. ft. section of my backyard. The process was extremely efficient and multi layers were added prior to and after the turf was installed. The workers knew exactly what they were doing and worked very hard throughout the process. The process was spelled out in an email prior to installation, so I knew exactly what to expect. This company exceeded my expectations. Several companies provided quotes, but none went to the extent to assure that the weeds in my yard would be permanently eliminated. We contacted Grizzly for a quote a few weeks ago to redo our side yard with synthetic grass. From that point, it was smooth sailing. We had our turf installed by Grizzly outdoors about a week ago and we love the final product. Jeremy did our initial quote and was really great to work with. I honestly would have given 5 stars but there were a few hiccups with installation. The installation process was pretty smooth, but was delayed by a day at the last minute. The contract included additional drains to be installed and I had to convince the workers to actually put them in. They also completely buried one of my drains under the road base, which I had to vacuum out after completion. There is also one low spot in the middle of the grass that I mentioned to them when they were compacting the road base that they seem to have ignored. I initially brought Jeremy in to estimate my project when I had a swimming pool in place. After the pool was demolished, he came back to remeasure. Smooth talking Jeremy came out and gave us a quote for turf, that we accepted and had installed. He knew we had two large dogs and we were concerned the grass would become smelly over time. He assured us the turf we chose was best for pets and we would just need to spray it down with Simple Green or similar on occasion, which we had to start doing immediately.
