This is hands down one of the best Peruvian restaurants I've been to. While it's a bit on the pricier side, the quality and generous portions make it absolutely worth it. My pasta dish was outstanding--easily one of the best I've ever had. I got the Tallarín Verde Lomo Saltado. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and has a polished, inviting atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]On weekend nights, they feature a live band, which adds a great vibe to the dining experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Although I didn't get a chance to snap a photo, the ceviche was phenomenal--truly next level. Nothing beats authentic Peruvian ceviche, and they've nailed it here. The pisco sours are also a must-try--refreshing, flavorful, and perfectly made. Definitely a spot worth checking out!

Delicious and fresh Peruvian food in the heart of northdale! Super friendly and kind staff. Yucca was very crisp and everything was seasoned to perfection! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Casual vibe and adequate parking in the plaza.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This Peruvian restaurant located at Northdale. The restaurant is well decorated. When we were there, there was broadcast a Spain soccer championship game. Since this restaurant has a separate room, there are many fan gatherings at that room screaming and celebrating their team. We seat at the outer dining hall and is much quiet. We order the Tallarin Verde with beef tenderloin and shrimp. This is Peruvian green pasta. Unfortunately the pasta green sauce is not the best that I remember in Peru or great Peruvian restaurants. The tenderloin and shrimp is good. My wife has the sauté seafood and cilantro rice. This dish also average. Service is just par. Not too attentive may be lack of English communication ability.

Costanera Tampa is a hidden gem located in the Carrollwood area. We came in for date night to experience authentic Peruvian Cuisine, which, in my opinion, will knock your socks off. I had the Lomo Saltado ( beef filet) cooked in Peruvian spices, and soy sauce (gluten-free soy sauce is available) was absolutely delicious. This is traditionally made with regular soy sauce, so if you have Celiacs Disease, it is best to inform them so they can make it with the gluten-free soy sauce instead. Although I did have the cilantro rice, I learned that it is not gluten-free after having eaten some (it says on the menu there is beer in it). Steer clear of that rice if you have a gluten allergy and opt for the white rice that is traditionally served with it. It is one of the best dishes I have ever tasted and I highly recommend it. I also skipped the French fries because of this FYI. My husband had the seafood dish Pescado lo Macho, which was a spicy gravy covering fish, shrimp, calamari, and mussels. This also was an amazing dish, I would say 5/5 for both. They also have great cocktails and non alcoholic beverages. Their pricing is really good and you get a lot of food. The restaurant is pretty big and spaced out. They have live music many nights. We actually came in on one of the nights. There was live music, and it was fantastic. Everyone was super nice at Costanera, especially the owner and his wife. The food is truly authentic Peruvian Cuisine in every sense of the word right down to the ingredients. I would highly recommend this restaurant for date nights, girls' nights, or any kind of fun night or lunch. The restaurant is located in a strip mall almost right across from the Whole Foods (you can't miss it), and there is ample parking. Below is what we had. Peruvian Ceviche Lomo Saltado (mine was made with gluten-free soy sauce) Pescado a lo Macho these came with a side of rice. We both got cilantro rice. I just found out this is not gluten-free Sea scallops prepare tableside Inca Kola Sangria

We had ourselves quite the Friday night! We tried an array of delicious authentic Peruvian dishes and sipped on drinks while listening to live Spanish music. The owner-Hèctor was passionate about his restaurant and made his rounds in the dining room. He explained each dish in detail from locally sourced ingredients to authentic Peruvian flavors. There was live music that started around 9pm and the party was still in full swing when we left around 1130pm. We loved how everyone would get up dance the ni! Definitely the spot to be if you're in the Carrollwood area and looking for all the vibes Weekly lineup: Wine Wednesdays with Allon Sams Thursdays Guitar player Daniel Giron Friday & Saturdays live Latin Nights

The staff was so nice and explained each dish and its historic roots. Highly recommend this place! My faves were the pesto shrimp pasta & the algarrobina! Everyone was dancing and the vibes were chill!

A relative from TN came to visit, LOVES seafood, and asked so a good place to take me. Mr & Mrs Crab was close, but I googled anyway....the highest rating being Mr & Mrs Crab....AND I had one of their coupons....WINNER! No words can cover the quality of the experience from beginning to end! We were greeted as we entered by a staffer and a gentleman who was Leo the GM. We sat down at our table and were greeted by our server, Megan. So far, 10/10*. Her personality was so genuine, sought out what we liked, what we were looking for. We shared a calamari appetizer...was wonderful! She had fried oysters with reg fries, my oysters were with sweet potato fries. The meals were a 20/10* if that is possible. Leo came by to check on us and we could do nothing but rave on everything! I am very picky...used to train Cornell Univ hotel students to be GMs which incl the restaurant, bar, and rooms. Yes, I had my coupon, readily available in our mail delivery. While we were finishing up and taking care of the bill, I saw "the cherry on top of the sundae." A staffer came by to clean up a table near us after the people left. I have NEVER seen a staffer put so much effort in making everything THAT PERFECT...cleaning the table, booth seats, floor around it and did it all a second time and it wasn't a mess to begin with. He's hired!! Leo was at the front to say "goodbye," verify everything was to our satisfaction, and I extended my hand to shake his. Ah, duh!!! I will come with guests when possible and do take out for just me! Oh, and my leftover oysters/sweet taters reheated to just as good as before...didn't do the reg fries. I was so impressed!!! And thank you for my coupon...my budget appreciates it on top of their very reasonable prices.

So many nautical nods in the decor-rustic coastal-in sort of an 80s/90s way (love). You can almost taste salt in the air-you expect the Gorton's fisherman to walk in. Yes, I could settle in here for a while. And I did. There are chalkboard drink choices on the walls-and a large menu. Happy hour and daily specials add to the options. I asked my friendly and helpful server to help me choose. She was spot on. The onion rings basket was a thing of true beauty. That batter is incredible-so light, so melts-in-mouth good. I'd go back for them alone. (and to try the hush puppies and fried green tomatoes) But then came the main event: a gorgeous piece of fried haddock that hung wayyyy off the bun on both sides-and loads of tasty fries. I swapped out coleslaw for green beans. What a feast! This is a lot of food! And every bit of it was really tasty. The haddock was huge-and so well cooked. It was tender-flaky-with another light batter, that complimented the fish perfectly. I ditched the bun and ate it with a knife and fork. It was just yummy. The fries had a good crunch to them and the bowl of green beans was deep. This is a massive value for money! Oh! And the margarita was good, too! A little tangy-I like that! (There's a full bar area, if you care to belly up) My sweet server was easy to talk to and super efficient. She knows the menu inside and out-and reads her customers well and early. The restaurant was cozy and comfy-it's a casual spot, but well tended and very clean. You really do forget that the busy world is right outside the door. There's tons of parking, but beware on super rainy days-there are low spots in that lot. The water came up fast while I was there and another server warned us to check our vehicles and move them, if needed. I decided to make a dash for it-so didn't get all the pics I wanted-but that's just another reason (along with the scrod and the mahi taco, etc etc) to go back. The Great Catch is a great choice. You can trust the Gorton's fisherman!

The appetizers were calamari, meatballs, goat cheese baklava, and a broccolini flatbread. I have to say these were all the least favorite plates for me. I couldn't eat the meatballs because I don't eat pork, but my husband said they were delicious. Others said the honey goat cheese baklava was one of the best things they have eaten. The calamari doesn't have tentacles, which is actually my favorite part. I thought it was good, not great. And I would skip the flatbread. It was just a regular flatbread to me. Then they brought out a Caesar salad. It's a wedge Caesar salad and it is absolutely delicious. I loved it, but it does have anchovies if you are not an anchovy person. This is a get every time salad for me. For the Mains, we got sides of mushroom, sides of mac & cheese, sides of brussels sprouts, the ribeye, Cacio E Pepe, Sicilian chicken, grouper piccata, and mafaldine basil pesto. My favorite was the Cacio E Pepe. They said the noodles were made in house and they definitely taste that way. They are thick and al dente and absolutely divine. The ribeye is fatty so if you like fat meat, this is for you. The mashed potatoes were also delicious that came with it. My husband really liked the Brussel sprouts, they were pretty good. I loved the mushrooms and would get it again. Neither of us were a huge fan of the mac & cheese. I thought all of the chicken was OK. I also like the grouper. But honestly, if I came back, I would go straight for that pasta. Then for dessert, we had the salted chocolate chunk cookies, which were amazing. They do cookies very, very well. We also had the crème brûlée which was OK and the sacred Sunday, which comes with vanilla ice cream, chocolate ice cream and pistachio ice cream. It was good, but honestly, my favorite was the cookies. There was also a wine pairing with each course. I'm not a huge wine person, but it did end up being a lot of wine. Overall, we had a fantastic time here, I love the decor of this place, you will not look out of place dressed up. You are looking at spending at least $98 for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids, no matter which restaurant you go to - it seems like the market does a good job at leveling the pricing competition between these restaurants. Crafty Crab is located essentially smack-dab in the center of Grand Plaza of the Carrollwood area. Although we didn't have issues with finding parking around 6-7pm on a Tuesday evening, the plaza can get quite busy with one row of parking on each side of a two-way lane that parallels the plaza. As we walked into Crafty Crab, it did have a cleaner feel and presentation compared to another local boil spot. Our waiter/server was great and extremely patient with us as we contemplated our choices. He continued with the positive energy throughout the service which made our experience at Crafty Crab rather nice. ***Not sure if it was standard practice, but he offered to empty the boil bag onto the aluminum tray (compared to leaving it in the bag) as an option which made navigating the morsels easier in my opinion. It also made for saucing the steam rice easier - just slap that jawn onto the tray, mix, and enjoy.*** What I enjoyed about Crafty Crab, is that they seem to offer better combinations when it came to the seafood deals. Dungeness crab is our staple, and they had a great combo that pair Dungeness crab with snow crab and headless shrimp. The fried calamari came with not only marinara, but also a spicy-mayo-wasabi sauce that slapped. Overall, you can't go wrong with Crafty Crab if you're looking for your Cajun boil fix!
