Last night, I went to Costanera for the first time to celebrate one of my girlfriends birthday. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a beautiful venue with excellent food and service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had live music, and the singer's voice was phenomenal, we danced to every beat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My only issue is when I asked my server if I could have my appetizer tostones with both shrimp and beef. She explained that it was possible after consulting the kitchen, but she did so in Spanish, and I misunderstood. As a result I ended up paying double price. Lesson learned, stick to the menu if you don't speak Spanish. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making the evening truly enjoyable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This is hands down one of the best Peruvian restaurants I've been to. While it's a bit on the pricier side, the quality and generous portions make it absolutely worth it. My pasta dish was outstanding--easily one of the best I've ever had. I got the Tallarín Verde Lomo Saltado. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and has a polished, inviting atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]On weekend nights, they feature a live band, which adds a great vibe to the dining experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Although I didn't get a chance to snap a photo, the ceviche was phenomenal--truly next level. Nothing beats authentic Peruvian ceviche, and they've nailed it here. The pisco sours are also a must-try--refreshing, flavorful, and perfectly made. Definitely a spot worth checking out!

Delicious and fresh Peruvian food in the heart of northdale! Super friendly and kind staff. Yucca was very crisp and everything was seasoned to perfection! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Casual vibe and adequate parking in the plaza.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This Peruvian restaurant located at Northdale. The restaurant is well decorated. When we were there, there was broadcast a Spain soccer championship game. Since this restaurant has a separate room, there are many fan gatherings at that room screaming and celebrating their team. We seat at the outer dining hall and is much quiet. We order the Tallarin Verde with beef tenderloin and shrimp. This is Peruvian green pasta. Unfortunately the pasta green sauce is not the best that I remember in Peru or great Peruvian restaurants. The tenderloin and shrimp is good. My wife has the sauté seafood and cilantro rice. This dish also average. Service is just par. Not too attentive may be lack of English communication ability.

Costanera Tampa is a hidden gem located in the Carrollwood area. We came in for date night to experience authentic Peruvian Cuisine, which, in my opinion, will knock your socks off. I had the Lomo Saltado ( beef filet) cooked in Peruvian spices, and soy sauce (gluten-free soy sauce is available) was absolutely delicious. This is traditionally made with regular soy sauce, so if you have Celiacs Disease, it is best to inform them so they can make it with the gluten-free soy sauce instead. Although I did have the cilantro rice, I learned that it is not gluten-free after having eaten some (it says on the menu there is beer in it). Steer clear of that rice if you have a gluten allergy and opt for the white rice that is traditionally served with it. It is one of the best dishes I have ever tasted and I highly recommend it. I also skipped the French fries because of this FYI. My husband had the seafood dish Pescado lo Macho, which was a spicy gravy covering fish, shrimp, calamari, and mussels. This also was an amazing dish, I would say 5/5 for both. They also have great cocktails and non alcoholic beverages. Their pricing is really good and you get a lot of food. The restaurant is pretty big and spaced out. They have live music many nights. We actually came in on one of the nights. There was live music, and it was fantastic. Everyone was super nice at Costanera, especially the owner and his wife. The food is truly authentic Peruvian Cuisine in every sense of the word right down to the ingredients. I would highly recommend this restaurant for date nights, girls' nights, or any kind of fun night or lunch. The restaurant is located in a strip mall almost right across from the Whole Foods (you can't miss it), and there is ample parking. Below is what we had. Peruvian Ceviche Lomo Saltado (mine was made with gluten-free soy sauce) Pescado a lo Macho these came with a side of rice. We both got cilantro rice. I just found out this is not gluten-free Sea scallops prepare tableside Inca Kola Sangria

We had ourselves quite the Friday night! We tried an array of delicious authentic Peruvian dishes and sipped on drinks while listening to live Spanish music. The owner-Hèctor was passionate about his restaurant and made his rounds in the dining room. He explained each dish in detail from locally sourced ingredients to authentic Peruvian flavors. There was live music that started around 9pm and the party was still in full swing when we left around 1130pm. We loved how everyone would get up dance the ni! Definitely the spot to be if you're in the Carrollwood area and looking for all the vibes Weekly lineup: Wine Wednesdays with Allon Sams Thursdays Guitar player Daniel Giron Friday & Saturdays live Latin Nights

The staff was so nice and explained each dish and its historic roots. Highly recommend this place! My faves were the pesto shrimp pasta & the algarrobina! Everyone was dancing and the vibes were chill!

I got the tacu tacu with lomo saltado and an old fashioned and started with salad. All were excellent and the portions were huge. I love the food here! Unfortunately the service was not great during this visit and our waitress was no where to be found most of the time to take our order or to bring the check. She also split our orders incorrectly and had to redo our receipts. I ordered a house salad and I don't know why but they added feta cheese and then charged me to add it. I explained this and they did remove it. None of these things were a huge deal but the amount of time that passed waiting and trying to get the attention of our waitress was horrendous. We were there over 2.5 hours. That being said usually the service is fine so maybe it was just a bad night.

Waitress brings paper towels but nothing and asks if we want the dish removed. So much drink in the plate that it's spilling while moving it away. Our assumption is that she will bring another meal to replace our original order and then is confused when we ask how long will the next meal take! And then when we ask for the bill she charges for both plates, the replacement and the original spilled on meal. Terrible service and because she needs manager approval to adjust anything in her system she prefers to blame us for spilling the drink when she bumped into the straw.

The restaurant itself is a cozy small establishment. If they hired a cook that can actually cook the place would be decent.
