Unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing. About three and a half weeks before we needed to be out of our rental, Steve came to review what we had available. We showed him many higher-priced, quality items and asked specifically about everything -- including food, supplements, furniture, a heavy fountain, and more. He indicated he would take it all and that we had enough to make it worth his time and effort. As agreed, five days before the scheduled pickup, his employee did a final walkthrough. We provided a detailed list of items we had already discussed with Steve and had even added additional items he had previously said he would take. Then, just two days later, we received a text saying this was now considered more of a cleanout -- and that we would need to pay him over $1,700. During a follow-up phone call, he said the items we had previously discussed were not worth his time to take. This was especially frustrating because we had offered to let him take only what he felt was worth selling. This sudden change completely disrupted our timeline and plans to be out of the rental by the end of the month. We feel the expectations set at the beginning were not honored, which put us in a very difficult position on a tight schedule. Based on our experience, I would advise being very cautious when making plans, especially if you are working within strict deadlines.

I did an auction in Escondido that was hosted by Kevin. It was super fun. Kevin is was someone who genuinely cared about the seller and the new receiver of the merchandise. Everything was perfect. The auction was easy straightforward to understand the pick up I made my appointment showed up. Everything was there. It's just easy. My second auction was in SD ended with me at the corporate headquarters in front of "The Green Door" The staff was super fast and organized. Just their sheer level of organization is impressive. I would not hesitate to attend other auctions I also interacted with the person that does their website again just top-notch person.. So lesson learned they are legit they are very accessible they are not overpriced to the buyer or the seller I think they're reasonable and they work with quality people and items. At least in my experience, if you have a question about an item or something is not clear, you can reach out to them and they will answer your questions. I've spent over $1000 there in the past few weeks and the quality of the items I have bought is far lower than other liquidators I have purchased from. Yes, I know they sell returns. Yes, I know some return items are defective. But I've bought thousands upon thousands of dollars in returns at other auction houses and never had the terrible run of luck I have had here in just a few weeks. A big part of the problem is that they take one single photo of items, so you can't see any angles to get a good idea of what some of this crap even is. A photo of a cardboard box doesn't tell me much especially when they don't even take the photo of any identifying information like a SKU or a part number. One photo also means that 100% of any damage is hidden because why on earth would they take their one photo of a damaged area? If they took a few photos it would be harder to hide, but with one photo, you can always find that angle where something looks ok. And yeah, they say to come preview the stuff, but hardly anyone does. It's so far out of the way that two trips to the location just seems onerous, but apparently, physically going there to inspect stuff is the only way to make sure you're not buying a table with missing legs or a bicycle with no brakes. What do you do about electronics tho? Even a physical inspection will not inform you that nothing happens when you push the power button. And "preview" doesn't mean you can "test" items. It just means you can "look" at them. Most of the boxes are torn open, some are missing entire sides (cut open for preview maybe?) so carrying and loading items can be very difficult as well. All in all, not a good experience. I don't know if they are buying the lowest level of known defective returns, or if I have just had an exceptional run of bad luck with this one company. What I do know is that I won't be throwing away any more money at the QL Public Auction crapshoot.
