They only have two pumps per column, which is less than most Costco gas stations, and I didn't see a trash can nearby to throw out my trash. I have never been to this particular Costco before, but there were only two gas station pumps available in each line. I guess the other Costco gas stations I've been to are somewhat newer and they have three pumps in each line. Within the parking lot it had an awkward area that was very wide pedestrians could walk across but that also seemed to confuse the cars. I felt nervous walking through slashed across from the parking area into the entrance of Costco. Once inside, my boyfriend sadly lost $140 That slipped out of his pocket, and when we asked an employee if anybody had turned anything in, they told us, "I'm sorry but somebody probably took it. Even the employees here would take it and nobody would turn anything in. "That makes me sad since it seems like this particular Costco has no honest employees?! Most reasonably priced gasoline in RWC but the parking lot layout makes it very difficult to get in to the fuel area and out again. While they only take cards and no ash,, they do have attendants to help if a customer needs assistance. The lines move reasonably quickly and I always go around the back of the warehouse to leave so I don't have to fight the stop sign and stoplight flood of people. Now living in Silicon Valley/the peninsula this gas station is definitely one of the cheapest around by like 20-30 cents. Even though the lines can be long in my opinion it goes by pretty fast. When it's extremely long, they normally create create systems to stream line the cars so the traffic does not flow into the streets. Costco Gasoline - Hours (Aug. 2021) - Gas Stations Near Me - Redwood City, California

Located in the Redwood City area, it's one of the bigger Costco gasoline venues in the Peninsula. It is immediately adjacent to the greater Costco parking lot, so the cars after fueling go through the lot in order to exit. There's a 4 way intersection leading up to it that connects the OSH lot, Costco lot, Costco gas lane, and the Middlefield Rd lane. Note though that only 3 of the 4 have stop signs (the one coming in from Middlefield does not have one) to prevent a big overflow into the major road. However, it seems a lot of people do not know this, so be wary even though you have right of way. I've been honked at, flipped off, and had near collisions a good number of times because of this. It's a pretty standard pumping experience, nothing too out of the ordinary. The nice part though is, like all things Costco, things are a bit extra in a good way :) - The fuel hose can extend so it doesn't matter which side your tank is, you can pull to reach it. This means you don't have to worry about which lane to pull up in, just go where there's space or a shorter line. - There's 2 spots per lane. The cool part is that there's a full additional lane in between two pumping lanes so you can easily drive through it to get to the front pumping spot should it clear up before the second spot is finished. Other notes: - There's only 2 fuel grade options, if I recall correctly it's only 87 and 89. Good enough for most standard cars. - The price is approximately ten cents cheaper per gallon than nearby rates. Tack on 4% cash back on gas with a Costco Visa card and you're pretty golden. - There's tap to pay. If you use your Costco Visa, you only need to tap once to both verify your membership as well as pay for your gas. Otherwise you'll need to insert your membership card before providing payment either through a physical card or a mobile payment (GPay, Apple Pay etc). Note, similar to the Costco warehouse, only Visa and debit cards are accepted. I believe you can use a Costco cash card without a membership as well. I've always seen the place pretty packed no matter when I've gone, even at 2:30pm on a Thursday. It almost always is about a 6-8 minute wait before I reach a pump, but considering there's easily a hundred cars waiting to get gas, that's not too bad. For the price and benefits, it's great to come here to fuel up if I have the time to spare. But I'll have to dock a star due to the added complication of traffic navigation and the resulting driver hostility around the area. read more

Redwood City Costco is relatively easy to get to off the 101, and it's got the standard Costco line system. But what makes it most attractive is that the gas price is usually around 20 cents cheaper than even the SSF Costco gas. Gotta love it! One recommendation: the entry road into this gas station is a bad bottleneck during the middle of the day when it gets extremely busy. I would definitely come here early in the morning or later in the evening to avoid the crowds. The line is pretty bad. Otherwise, I got no complaints! I love Costco Gas and was in the area, so I decided to give it a go. This Costco had only two pumps per island, unlike El Cerrito which now has three. But the line wasn't that long, like El Cerrito. But, like El Cerrito now, I didn't have to wait for a long time for my turn. I think I came during a sweet spot, on a holiday weekend - wait? They were open? It was President's Day at my school and we had the day off. So, people may have been doing other things. Gas is crazy expensive in California, especially given that I grew up in Texas, so I feel like I have to get gas at Costco gas stations. The nice thing about this gas station is that all of them have long hoses so it doesn't matter which side of the car your gas tank is on-you can go into any lane. It was incredibly unprofessional for Jacob to speak to another grown man IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS, the way that he was. I personally felt uncomfortable, but Luther handled it so well and was still so kind and calm when he walked over to help me. Mind y'all, this was after Jacob scolded him saying "you have a customer standing behind you waiting for help" in such a rude way. Its Costco and its gasoline. Even if you don't need 25 gallons of sliced pickles, you can make up the membership cost just on the gas alone. Its typically 20-30 cents cheaper than the national brands and usually is the cheapest in a any given location. They are setup to be super efficient with long hoses so even if you driving an SUV and get on the wrong side you can pull it over. Plus they have a middle lane allowing you to hop ahead. Its always credit only and 89/91 octane no middle stuff. This location is fantastic. They have alot of pumps and you never have to wait long even if its packed. read more

Of the Costco Gasoline's that I've been to, this appears to be the least busiest, and most spacious of all. The machines have always been working well and I've never had any problems since coming here. The credit card sliders have been working pretty smoothly and the gas pumps are always ready to go and maintained well. The price is always the cheapest so this is a prime destination for anyone that's looking to fill up. The location is nearby the very busy Middlefield road, so getting here might take a bit of effort. The hoses are retractable so you can go on either side no matter where you need to pump your gas. Keep in mind that the Mountainview location does not have a gas station for their Costco, so if you need to fill up with them, this is the spot. read more

One of my weekly routines nowadays includes a Costco run to pick up fruits and other household items, I usually fill up on gas here before shopping. The entry to the gas pumps are wide open so you can freely choose the lane you want. The pump extends over to either side of the car so no need to restrict yourself to lines on the same side as the gas tank. Compared to other Costcos gas stations (i.e. near SFO or Lawrence both of these are the WORST EVER) where the entry is extremely congested and super inefficient, the layout of this Costco gas is excellent. The lines still get long and some people bottleneck by taking their sweet time, but overall a great option for discounted gas! read more

Every day, I try to count my blessings and appreciate the little things in life that matter to me such as my family, my job, and my girlfriend. If there's one other thing I will NEVER forget to be thankful for, it's Costco Gasoline Stations. The only reason I pay like $60 a year for a membership is because of the discounted gas. And luckily there are HELLA Costco Gasoline Stations around the Bay Area that serve inexpensive gas efficiently and effectively. Like, I can go on and on about how many of them (from the Fairfield location all the way to the Santa Clara one) are decent - with the exception of the Lawrence Station (please avoid that one!). When I was recently in desperate need of gas while driving along the Peninsula, I discovered ANOTHER ONE (insert DJ Khaled meme) that was located in Redwood City. But how did it stack up? One thing I absolutely need in a Costco Gasoline Station is a prime location. I'm not going to be willing to drive 15 minutes from the highway for gas just to have my car stall. Fortunately, the Redwood City Station is nearby a plethora of major streets and highways such as Woodside Road and the 101 Freeway. Because of its close proximity to many access points, this station is a perfect place to refuel if you are going to and from San Francisco or San Jose. However, you may have - actually probably will have - some trouble getting here because traffic can get SO BAD around this area; unless absolutely necessary, I recommend pumping gas here on weekends or very early in the morning.  Besides having a great location, every Costco Gasoline Station should be required to have the cheapest gas around (though not always a given). When I came on October 27, the price was $2.8/gallon. Although it's a bit high for my liking, I know that most places in the surrounding area are going to charge much higher (freaking rich people!). And so price point for this Redwood City Costco Station is quite fair and reasonable. If there's two peeves that annoy me the most about certain Costco Gasoline Stations (cough Lawrence), it has to be the long lines due to a small number of lanes with only two pumps each + bottlenecking as a result of poor station design. Praise the lord, because you won't find these problems at this Costco Station! When I was pulling in at first, I was worried about the wait time after seeing huge lines of cars at the Costco. But, the gas station itself was not even that packed - even for a Friday afternoon! Despite the fact that there were only two pumps in each lane, I was able to get in and out fairly quickly since the station's large entrance and INSANE number of lanes (like 6-7) dramatically helped with crowd control. I am definitely a fan of the Redwood City Costco Gasoline Station because it has everything I require in a solid discount pump. Even though weekday traffic getting there was rough and the price seemed higher than many pumps back in the South Bay, this station provided me with a very painless and efficient experience that I desperately needed since I was out of gas.
