(Pet peeve... gas pumps that go slow. They make me have to pee like something fierce, no matter if my bladder is full or not). It currently costs $10 per gallon, which is 40% more than premium. However, my sports car gets 40% better mileage on 100 octane fuel (so I fill up less often), and it runs more smoothly and powerfully, so I try to use this all the time. I confirmed with the manufacturer that it's fine to use this fuel full-time, and the rep even sounded a little jealous-- the only downside is that there is no adjusted redline in my engine software, although the ECU does automatically adjust to the higher quality fuel. That's my long way of saying that this is why they have 100 octane fuel-- it just makes sense to use it in a car that can take advantage of the benefits. The station even has Sunoco stickers, and they will give you a handful of them if you ask. I have no idea what the other reviews are talking about with poor service, or otherwise, although I guess I don't see that negative side of the ownership when I'm spending around $150 on a fill-up plus buying Gatorade in the store on top of the fuel. I also make it a point to mention that I appreciate the Sunoco offering every time I go in. So basically, it's worth putting up with some issues for access to this fuel.
