Gas is creeping up again. $4.25/gallon for regular unleaded. Not many people in the queue for gas which made for fast self service. The person ahead of us was trying to use her app for her membership card. We tried to help her. A staff member came over while we were helping so we excused ourselves. Unfortunately the pump is not set up for this. It's very convenient for the warehouse entry. There should be an update of the gas pump system to use the app or membership card, A majority of the members no doubt own cell phones but I imagine there are a few hold outs so I understand. While I tend to go to a Circle K or Shell (or sometimes both) for gas, my wife always goes to a Costco Gasoline location. While this is not the regular Costco Gasoline location we frequent, we do occasionally stop there, as we did this weekend. I often go with her because she doesn't like to fill her own gas tank. We'll get in the shortest line and stick with the etiquette of having two cars move up at a time. It doesn't matter which side the gas tanks are on, since the hose is long enough to reach the far side of your vehicle. They offer regular and premium gasoline, and there is an attendant available on weekdays from 6 AM to 10 PM, Saturdays from 6 AM to 8:30 PM, and Sundays from 6 AM to 7:30 PM. Simply honk for assistance. We have never needed help and have always found the process to be easy and the machines working. We also appreciate the discounted gas prices we get as Costco members. I use the GasBuddy app to determine the lowest prices in an area when I need gas. So, when Costco's the cheapest (it often is) I go there. I prefer it because it has Top Tier additives recommended by Consumer Reports. Gas prices are unbeatable for the area, but mid day and end of day visits can be painful with long line ups and congestion. I wish Costco would open up another warehouse with gas and a car wash north of the 101. The parking lot is a nightmare and it is complete chaos getting in and out to grab gas. Your best bet is early morning before the store opens. Unfortunately, this location has proven to be unreliable to have the car wash open (even during their so-called hours of operation). I've gone on several occasions planning to do a car wash only to see that it is closed with zero communication. It seems to be a "nice to have" for this location, when they can open on time. So this brings me to the latest problem. The last two times, and keep in mind my last two visits were separated by at least two weeks, there has been a rather foul smell as you enter the car wash. I think "foul" might be too kind for the stench I witnessed. I have no clue how the car wash attendants can even work there, it is horrendous (this has to be a workplace hazard if there ever was one). The worst part is, that this smell permeates the entire car, right before you have to close everything to go through the wash. I do not think the high powered fan blowing this smell right at the customer helps a thing. The best way I can describe this horrific smell, is that that smells like a sewer line backed up or that there is open raw sewage somewhere. I can't imagine what I am smelling is healthy and am surprised no one has remedied it yet. I truly don't think I can handle any more car washes at this location if the smell continues. I'd rather hand wash my car in 100+ degrees than smell what I witnessed at the Costco car wash. read more

Love CostCo and their Gas This is not our store but we were very low. This stores parking lot was a nightmare. Bumper to bumper very long lines. After leaving the pumps they routed us back in the parking lot mess back to the parking lot entrance which was worse with outgoing traffic crossing incoming traffic. We learned our lesson stopping here. Extremely High demand store suggests the area needs another store. read more

Costco Gas is your best bet for the cheapest prices in town. This location, being in Scottsdale, used to be a few cents more expensive than its PV counterpart, so I'd frequent that one more. However, this has returned as a top contender because they built a third pump in each lane in 2020 and installed lights that let you see which pumps are available. Pretty neat! Haven't tried recently, but Costco pumps can be used on either side of your car which gives you more options. This location also has a car wash and you can pay for it at the pump, which is convenient. Just make sure it's actually open; last time I went it was closed for some reason but I just came back another day and showed my receipt. Didn't notice an option to print a regular receipt, but I may have missed it. Yes this is a busy location so I suggest early morning or evening for less crowds. read more

Four stars because the traffic in this parking lot is a bear. This Costco Gas is easy in... easy out. Over the past few weeks I've hit a few Costco Gas stations in several different states. Surprisingly, most of these Costco service stations are conveniently located near most on/off ramps of major Freeways. This one is less than a mile from the 101/FLW. So it's almost as easy as the dedicated stations along those interstates. It only requires a little planning ahead of time. LOL That said, this Costco is near our house. It is slightly more expensive than the other locations in the Valley, such as PV Mall, Chandler and Phoenix. But when compared to other gas stations in the area, well... there is no comparison. Besides getting gas here, as you drive out on the left you can get your car washed. Nice! read more

One of, if not the cheapest gas station around. They have a good amount of lanes for cars to fill up at. Only tip is to avoid going during peak hours such as typical work hours 3:30-6pm. It gets crazy. The line for this gas station gets wild during those hours as well as certain times on Sundays. Love it here in mean it's a gas station. Soooooo here is why. Cheaper prices for gas. No nonsense and they have a ton of lanes to fill up and a good straight smooth system like waiting to get on a roller coaster ride. They have new upgraded machines that look good. The area is clean and maintained. The best part about this one particularly...ready for this??? They have free yes FREE hand sanitizer bottles ready for use. No other Costco I've seen uses these or has them available for this customers. Keep it clean Scottsdale. I also like that when you leave it's orderly. Judy in the food court area needs a little education on disabilities. When there are at least 20 people waiting for food orders at noon, it takes people with disabilities a little longer than a minute or two to get through everyone and get to the counter. Making fun of them to the other members while holding up your fingers slowly indicating the number "526" and making comments about ordering hot food, does not look good for you or for Costco. The other two people you made fun of we're not pleased either. Be patient with older, disabled people. They are a better portion of your demographic out there in Hayden. read more

I go to this gas station about once a week, and it's usually busy (that's because it's a very nice gas station) so it may take a while until I get to a pump, by the machines are very fast, and everything is very clean. I haven't noticed if they have a window cleaning squeegee but I haven't looked too hard. Member only gas station. They also offer a $7.99 car wash that I have not used yet. Gas in Scottsdale is expensive compared to other parts of Arizona. Thankfully, there is Costco gas. Costco is one of the cheapest places to get gas in Scottsdale. The other place on par with it is Walmart, which is less than a mile away. This gas station gets packed so you can spend a bit of time waiting. Try coming right when it open or right before it closes if you want to avoid the line. Unlike other gas stations, there are hand sanitizer stands here. Also, this is one of the few Costco's that has a car wash. The car wash is only $7.99, and you can purchase a wash with your gas. Unfortunately, there is no further discount on the gas for buying a wash, but the gas here is as cheap as it can get for this fancy part of town. read more

It is certainly the cheapest gas in the area - which you would expect from a Costco. There are lots of pumps, and when I actually make it to one, filling up and heading out is a cinch. However, the problem is this Costco location can be an absolute madhouse at peak hours, and especially on the weekends. Too many times have I been stuck behind someone in line who spends five to ten minutes finishing up a phone call in their car before slowly emerging, only to return and rummage around for their missing credit card. It's as if they're completely oblivious to the monstrous line building up behind them! My time on this mortal plane is short, I don't want to be spending it in a gas line. As a result I never come here except on the off chance the line is short. You can't deny the cheap gas though, and it's a well kept station. The gas here was almost $.25 cheaper than even in Phoenix! It was hard to find this place at first, I thought they must not have gas at this location which I thought was strange since there was a car wash. I was almost out of gas so I searched on yelp and saw they do have gas here! I went back around and filled up. I was pleasantly surprised that there were not long lines.
