There are plenty of Super Star Car Wash locations throughout the Valley and normally I go to the one in Chandler/Tempe area but today I was up in this area and thought I would give another location a try. At $11 for a basic car wash, that's really a nice bargain. Kuromi, yes my car has a name, desperately needed a bath as she has been a bit dirty since a cave trip a few weeks ago where I was driving forest roads which made her super dusty. Attendants are always pretty nice here but it drives me crazy how they constantly want to sell me a monthly package, no matter the location! After the wash which is all automatic, you just sit in your vehicle on neutral and the machine does all the work (I always enjoy this as it's fun to watch your car get washed and all the interesting noises), they have an area where you can vacuum up your car, wipe down with damp clothes and nozzles that blow air with pressure. This location also has two vacuum types with different head options, one that can get into nooks and crannies in your vehicle. I usually spend an hour cleaning my car, and Kuromi is squeaky clean now! These locations work for me and I'll be coming back again when Kuromi needs another bath! read more

I love that they have towels to use for free! When you buy a car wash and go through it, you come out to the parking area where they have towels to use (as long as you return them), vacuums, tire air, and glass cleaner. I love all the amenities they have! I did the $16 "super clean" wash and felt like it did an okay job. I had a lot of bugs on the front of my car and bird poop on the top, and it got about 90% of the bird poop gone but not very much if the bug stains gone. I had to go in an hand-wipe the bug stains away which took a lot of effort. I'd say the value of this car wash was good, but I'd be curious to try the more expensive car wash to see if it gets rid of the bug stains better. I'll be coming here again because of the vacuums and towels! read more

I would not recommend this car wash to anyone. I asked specifically not to put tire shine on my car. They did anyway and then blamed it on me. It took me 2 1/2 hours to clean the tire shine off of the sides of my car. My car still has a slight glaze to it as it will not come off. I asked the manager for some help. He said it looks clean to me. That's the kind of service you get at superstar car wash. I canceled my membership and I will never be back. I would be careful with setting up a monthly account with them as they are happy to take your money, but when it's time to cancel they are still happy with taking your money and keeping your account open and being charged. read more

Be aware!!! I have a Yukon XL, and I went in as usual for a car wash. While I was in the car wash, I heard a snap, usually the side mirrors get pushed in by the rolling mechanism and make a bit of a sound when this happens. I got down and began drying the car. When I got to the back of the car, I noticed that the rear wiper arm was broken. and dangling. Then I knew the snap I had heard was the roller breaking the arm for the rear wiper. I immediately talk to the attendant who stated I needed to talk to the "general manager". He walked over to the car and began asking me, the year of the car and stating that "we are not responsible for damage". I let him know that the year of the vehicle did not matter, then he proceeded to state that if it was older than 1 year, they could not do anything! Again, I told him that they damaged the car, and I need to get their insurance information to fix it, this employee was no help. I immediately sent a request for contact via the superstar car wash website. I received an email several days later stating they were looking into it but without having called me so I am not sure exactly what they are looking in to besides letting time pass. It has now been 2 weeks and still have not had a call from anyone with this company!! read more

When my car was through the was, I noticed by rear windshield was ripped off, I went to the tunnel and found 2 others that had happened. The attendant said it wasn't their fault and I should have tapped it to the windshield. There were zero notifications stating it was my responsibility. I submitted what insurance claim to the head office and after 2 months, I was told to go to the location for resolution. During the entire time, I could never speak to anyone as there were no phone numbers listed. This is an absolutely duplicitous business, totally unethical never mind the was was awful. 10 Month Member: I have been a member for about 10 months and didn't really have too many complaints. (1) The wax doesn't always spray during cycles, (2) the air hoses (for car and tires) were broken for about 3 months, and (3) sometimes the front and entrance to the actual wash are left unattended for a while and you must wait. But all in all, it was worth keeping the subscription due to the proximity of the wash to my residence. Damages to Vehicle: On 11/30/2024 the machine ripped a piece from my vehicle (2023 Mazda) and the general manager Roger had to fish it out of the machine. I asked him to fill out an incident report and he refused and instead argued with me for about 20 minutes that no damage had been done. I decided to call the non-emergency police line to have an officer dispatched to document the incident since they were refusing to do so. They instead called the emergency police line and claimed that I was trespassing, as a paying customer. The part doesn't snap back in properly and will need to be replaced. This was abhorrent behavior from the General Manager Roger who could have simply documented the incident, and I would have been on my way. They have lost a customer. Warning: This is just a warning for anyone who chooses to do business here. If damage does occur to your vehicle expect a very adversarial response to a request for an incident report. read more

I used to really love coming here. I pass 2 other car washes to come here. I had a monthly pass for awhile but due to some financial issues even the cheapest pass would be a luxury now for me. So I come like once a month and do the $11 wash. It does the job and I like using everything they have to offer. My complaint lately is the freaking sales pitch EVERYTIME I COME now that I don't have a pass. I get it, you're trying to get more business but when I say "no thanks" that should be good. I don't need to explain myself ALL THE TIME. I already feel down on myself not being able to do something as simple as having a pass so I don't need a guilt trip. I'd give no stars for that alone but truth is it's a good wash and usually everyone else is friendly. I just don't know after today. The car wash itself is good. My issue is when you try to select and pay for your wash you are hit up for a membership. While that may be good for some, they need to understand that no thank you means no! The person that checked me in kept pushing the membership with question after question and then got rude when I kept saying no. Let me check in, pay for a wash and leave it at that. After traveling from Minnesota to Arizona, our car looked like it had been through hell - or Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona. I bought the basic wash, I think it was called 'clean' for $10. I was driving my husband's car which I never drive and could not figure out how to get it in neutral. The staff was so nice and helpful. They were googling how to do it. We were troubleshooting together. The car has auto stop - or something- that makes putting it in neutral a 4 step process, so it was not an obvious. I really am not that daft. Anyway, 3 cars ended up having to wait for me, then back up so I could get out, then I figured out how to get it in neutral, so I finally went through the car wash. The staff was inside trying to get me a refund, so hopefully it all worked out. Thank you for your patience!! The car looks so much better. read more

I stopped in during their grand opening celebration for a free car wash. I was greeted by friendly, helpful employees. The car came out clean as one would expect I was just impressed however with their detailing stations. There are dozens of spots. Each spot is equipped with everything you need to detail your car yourself. They have two types of vacuum nozzles, one for carpet and another for hard to reach spots. They have have an air gun to blow dust out of spots the vacuums can't reach or to blow the few water spots off the car where the automated car wash dryer blowers didn't get. They have clean towels to wipe down surfaces, but something they have that I have not seen before is a spray bottle with glass cleaner. I hate the haze that accumulates over time on your windshield making it hard to see as one drives towards the setting sun. But, I always forget to bring glass cleaner out to my car to clean the inside windows. It's great that Super Star decided to supply it for me. As a final, often forgot, bonus they have tire inflation air at each station. It's smart to make sure your tires are always properly inflated and this conveniently located, free tire air makes it easy to do while taking care of the inside and outside of your car. My car was DAMAGED by the car wash. They denied my claim stating they determined there was prior damage when my car has NEVER had prior damage. I find this incredibly weird how someone who isn't the owner of my vehicle is making this claim. Also they have a ton of other similar complaints where they deny due to user error or drivers fault. They allowed me access to see all these claims being make against them including personal Information so beware they do not care!!!! read more
