This Shell gas station is very close to where we live and it's also convenient for me to stop at on my way to the 405 South Freeway off Crenshaw and 182nd. The prices at this Shell seem to be pretty reasonable and I like that I can save more money by using either my Fuel Rewards or Ralphs Rewards when I fill up. There is also a Mini Mart inside if you want to grab a drink, snack, or some Oil for your car which I needed during this visit. If you need a Car Wash you can select that option at the pump and you can choose which wash you want. I will continue coming to this location because it is one of the better Shell gas stations in this area. read more

I would like to file a complaint against an employee at the Shell Service Station at 18910 Crenshaw Blvd Torrance CA 90504. I am a 70 year old husband of a 59 year old wife. My wife attempted to use the restroom at the Shell Station at the above location and was told that the restroom was out of service! We had just left the 405 South Freeway, after locating a Shell Station with a bathroom on the internet. Her need for a restroom was extremely urgent and she begged the attendant to allow her to use the restroom. He refused and suggested that she go to the restroom next door the "Starbucks Drive Through", which was the only other business in the area with the possibility of having a restroom. Unfortunately, after checking the Starbucks next door, she was informed that they did not even have a restroom at all, so she returned to the Shell Station Attendant to let him know that they did not have a restroom. After filling my car with gas, I plead with the Shell Attendant to allow her to use the out of service restroom, and he refused! Subsequent to my interaction with the Shell Attendant, my wife was forced to go behind the Shell Station to relieve herself, at no small amount of embarrassment to herself! The attitude of the Shell Attendant was callous, unempathetic and appeared to enjoy the suffering of my wife in this circumstance. We were not freeloaders wanting to use the restroom without paying for gas or other items available to purchase, instead we were customers. I would like to be contacted regarding this incident as it beneath the expectation of the Shell Corporation and its franchisees. Expected Resolution? It's 5:44 in the morning and they are not open. Their Apple Pay does not work outside. I try to pay with my Apple Pay at the window and Roberto is giving me a difficult time paying he told me the store doesn't open until after 6 a.m. I'm trying to redeem my loyalty points so I have to sit here and wait until after 6 o'clock to make my gas purchase because I do not have enough gas to go to another shell so I can redeem my loyalty points. The bathroom is out of service here and they don't have a sign visible on the outside notifying patrons. Had I known ahead of time I would have gone to the next nearest gas station to pump gas and use their functioning restroom. The employees had such an attitude about me even asking too. Located on the corner of Crenshaw and 190th in Torrance they have a food mart and a good amount of gas pumps only downside they are close together and not enough space to squeeze by or in between if they are all being used. Unless you ride a motorcycle then you are good squeezing through. Best to come at off times here or when not busy. I've been here in the mid afternoon before and had to wait for a car to finish just so I could get around to an open pump. I believe this location out of the other Shells near by is the cheapest so you take the good and the bad. Overall an okay gas station. read more

I normally do not get gas here as Shell is more on the pricey side- However, since I am a Reward Saver(Food 4 Less) I had some fuel points accumulated so when I checked the info on Food 4 Less fueling points, I went to this Shell station since this was on their approved list. Much to my disappointment, there was a young high school boy who did not know anything about it and when I asked for the manager, he said the only other person there was a high school girl. The way he answered me was that he just do what he is told and nothing else. He lacked customer service skills and with their system of training new employee is really a necessity. This little gas station is located on the west side of Artesia & Crenshaw. They accept Ralph's rewards inside & outside at the pump. I go to Ralph's frequently so sometimes (like today) I saved 40 cents a gallon and it has a small car wash. There's vacuums there to as well. The little market inside is very little. But they have good prices on the energy drinks, Starbucks Frap bottles, double shot cans, and coffee. The people inside are always friendly. Armando was rude- he was a smart ass with me. I went in bought gas came out to add the gas I purchased. When I went to add gas it did not show that I had purchased anything I went back in to let him know and he was quick to let me know I did it wrong- I said nothing happens I'm not sure why it's not working? He said you canceled it. I said I did not do anything different - I said will I be charged he said No you canceled it. Okay so then he says what pump? I stop here because it is on my way to and from work. I also get a discount using my Ralph's club number. The station has pumps on both sides of the mini mart. It also has air on the pump islands. While there are squeegees on the islands, only the pumps nearest the mini mart entrance have paper towels. read more

If not for convenience, I would never fill up here (the 1-2 times a year that I do). Sometimes the prices are super cheap, other times they're above market by upwards of $0.50 per gallon. And today, I found out that they have a $50 limit (per credit card, per day) on the amount of gas you can pump into your vehicle. I went here for the first time in years. Don't seem to be up to date on gas pumps. Or maybe I picked the wrong one to stop at. Was going to upgrade to premium gas. The pump only had one type gas, not premium gas. Also as I got out of the car someone asked me for a dollar. I was not having the best day. I wish I could make this review so it was flashing red! I have stopped into the service station many times over the years, it was fine because I never had to deal with anyone. So recently I stopped in and filled up my tank, then went inside to see if they had a customer service person that could help me fill my tires. Now, I'm not such a moron that I can't fill my own tires; I was 9+ months pregnant and couldn't even tie my own shoes! The manager wouldn't let the sales associate help me. Then she hid in the office like a coward and wouldn't make eye contact when I tried to ask her why or offer to pay for the service. Now they might've had a policy in place or it is illegal to help pregnant women, I will never know because she would not discuss it with me. I frequent this gas station because it is on my route on the way to the south 405 freeway. I had fraud on my credit card before after gassing up here, but was not sure where the fraud came from. I visited again, more fraudulent charges. From then on, I began paying for my gas inside the store rather than on the pumps outside. I attempted to pop into the convenience store to grab supplies for the day for my crew. There was a scrawled weathered piece of paper on the outside of the door saying they were away for "Lunch". As it was 9:30 in the AM, I lightly pulled the handle to make sure it was not an old forgotten mistake. I often run down to this Shell/Subway combo for lunch, and I've honestly never had a bad experience. I often enjoy their Footlongs (even if they're really 11"!) and the gas station itself has a large selection of snack options for whatever I'm looking for. My only complaint: their restrooms are almost never available! I've gone in there only once or twice, and I very much enjoy the floral decorations adorning their walls. Went here after a long trip to gas up and use the restroom for a long ride home my little sister had to use the restroom very badly. The sign says they close at 10pm we were told by monis they close at 9 so we could not use the restroom even though it was 8:50. This gas station had what I really needed, GAS! There were no long waits as I pulled up and filled up my tank. The attendant was pleasant and quick to ring me up. I did not need a snack or drink but they had them available as well. The fact that this is the nearest gas station to where I was staying also made it convenient. I'm not sure that a yelp review will make someone visit a gas station more or less, but one thing I have had happen to me recently more than once is that the gas would not stop filling up and overflow out of my gas tank because the sensor was not working. The gas is the best European standard, top tier and well respected among car enthusiasts, as well as recommended by race teams and auto manufacturers. Utilized by automotive magazines and testers. The station itself is pretty well kept but big trucks will often be taking up space on the other side of the L shaped lot filling up on diesel.
