Are all Costco's created equally?!…read more I have no idea, but I am constantly exploring new ones when I find them, and this Costco location in Loomis, California is my latest discovery. They've been open for almost a year, and it's taken me literally this long to check it out. This one just feels different and quite frankly I don't know that I can put my finger on it. Maybe it's the way the entrance and exit doors are situated, maybe it's the displays, maybe it's that still fresh feeling... I don't know but I can tell you I like it! This warehouse is incredibly well stocked, and I was able to find items here that I literally cannot and have not ever found or seen in the other warehouses that I shop at. The meat department is glorious! So many different cuts of meat, fish, poultry, I even found ground chicken packaged by Mary's. Mary's is more local to California and has a great reputation for quality poultry. The produce section was a little low, but it's also that time of year when California just doesn't have a lot of produce. Spring is just around the corner... As I perused up and down different aisles, putting more in my grocery cart than I had originally bargained for, it was almost like a treasure hunt, and I've loved every moment of it! If you live in the Sacramento area, where you happen to be driving through or near Roseville, which is just adjacent, shopping here is a great experience. Parking was easy! Yes, you read that correctly. Parking was not a problem. Finding a shopping cart was not a problem. The checkout lines, definitely were not a problem. The cashier was super sweet on top of it. Great shopping experience and definitely worth making this my go to in the area!

What is prominently noted in my brain: Loomis Costco is the ONLY Costco selling the Heirloom Eggs! In the…read moremail, an invitation for a free hearing test and ear examination was sent and I jumped at the opportunity. I had not received any sort of hearing test since I was a child. When I arrived at Miracle-Ear, I assumed that I would be one of a number of people attending a presentation or some kind of seminar. Instead, my appointment was for a private session! For 90 minutes I was educated about hearing sound and how our inner ears change over a lifetime. The audiology specialist, Nicole Spinelli-Fuson, NB-HIS, which stands for National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences, gave me an extensive hearing examination conducted in a soundproof booth and computerized testing apparatus. This test lasted for quite a while and went through a full range of sounds and pitches. Nicole looked inside my ear canals and at my ear drums and reported her observations. She also gave me a PowerPoint-style report of the exam findings. I was so happy that my hearing health in both ears was within the "good" range. However, she did point out some minor apparent damage in my left ear which was also reflected in the hearing exam results for a specific, narrow frequency range. Audiology and audiologists are somewhat analogous to optometry and optometrists. With eye care and glasses, there are O.D.s, optometrists for the exam and eye health, and then opticians are the glasses and contact lenses specialists. With ear care and hearing aids, Miracle-Ear practitioners are like a combined optometrist and optician . . . for the ears. When comes the time for me to get hearing aids, I will most certainly be getting them from Miracle-Ear. Thank you Nicole and Miracle-Ear!

Unfortunately, those hearing aids never meet her needs as they didn't work well, were very difficult to maintain and nearly impossible to change the batteries. At some point she had gave up on them and stopped wearing them. in late December of 2023 we were referred to Imagine Hearing Solutions through an insurance provider. I scheduled my Mom's first appointment for a hearing test for mid January. Janene (a licensed audiologist) was very friendly yet professional and made my Mom feel totally comfortable. She was very thorough in asking lots of questions and then explaining all the options to my Mom and why she did not have success with her previous hearing aids. My Mom selected her new hearing aids and had impressions taken for her new hearing aids. She was very excited about the potential of finally being able to have improved hearing. We were notified about 2 weeks after her first appointment that her new hearing aids had arrived. I contacted Janene and we had her new hearing aids fitted on February 5th. Once again, Janene was very thorough in explaining how to use the new hearing aids: from inserting, charging, cleaning, using the phone app to select the different filters, and answering any questions my Mom had. Since then Mom has had 2 additional follow up appointments and Janene has gone above and beyond addressing any concerns and insuring she is having the best possible experience with her new hearing aids. I encourage anyone that has hearing difficulties to make an appointment with Janene at Imagine Hearing for a hearing test. She will take great care of you and provide you an honest assessment of what can be accomplished with today's hearing aids.

Drove an hour to this location (Roseville, CA) through major road construction to find out my 97 year old mother, who has worn hearing aids for many years, had some fresh earwax in the outer canal of one of her ears prohibiting the administration of their hearing test. We were instructed to go to a drugstore and purchase ear wax remover and return in 3 weeks for the hearing test. Apparently, they can't clean ears. Given that her ears were just cleaned by an ENT the previous week, I am suspect of this business. We were there less than 5 minutes. The ??audiologist?? at this location was substituting for the regular person who was on vacation. I declined scheduling another appointment in three weeks, blocked their business phone as spam, and unsubscribed. My next destination Costco-- I do not recommend HearingLife under any circumstances.
