We are very grateful to Anna Mamiya and the team at PAC for helping our daughter! Her condition made everyday life for her very stressful and painful. It impacted pretty much every aspect of her life and determined what we could do as a family. We are now able to eat dinner as a family again and go out in public to loud spaces - like the mall, Costco, etc. School has become much easier. The treatment does not cure misophonia, but it does teach her brain that the trigger sounds are not something that it needs to react strongly to and get away from. Yes, chewing sounds will always be annoying, but there is no strong emotional response anymore. I needed a very minor repair on a hearing aid that took about 3 minutes to do and was charged the $65.00 "for service" and $115.00 for the minor repair, all this after I because they do not work with my health insurance company. I now have a pair of $6,400 Phonak BTE Boleros and a Roger Pen Bluetooth device to connect to my cell phone and TV and hear my customers that I set up, review, and train one-on-one in QuickBooks and Quicken when I am not stuck in traffic.
