We are very grateful to Anna Mamiya and the team at PAC for helping our daughter! Her condition made everyday life for her very stressful and painful. It impacted pretty much every aspect of her life and determined what we could do as a family. We are now able to eat dinner as a family again and go out in public to loud spaces - like the mall, Costco, etc. School has become much easier. The treatment does not cure misophonia, but it does teach her brain that the trigger sounds are not something that it needs to react strongly to and get away from. Yes, chewing sounds will always be annoying, but there is no strong emotional response anymore. I highly recommend anyone dealing with misophonia or hyperacusis to have a consultation with Anna Mamiya. She explains the science behind the treatment and what can be achieved. It all lined up with what I had already learned about the conditions so it made sense to have my daughter get the treatment. I am so glad we did! Life is so much easier now for her and us!

She was incredibly thorough and took time to explain to me what she was doing and what my results meant. I didn't feel rushed and felt like my options were clearly explained. The craziest thing is that when I went to pick up my new hearing aids, she forgot to give me the cable for the charger. I didn't realize this until she showed up at my house that evening to drop it off. That's someone who takes their responsibilities seriously and cares about their patients. Follow ups have been super helpful in adjusting the aids to my needs. Highly recommended.

She is meticulous in her hearing examination and unlike Costco who tests your hearing with a single manufacturer's high quality hearing aide, Dr Ellis will test you on FOUR high end hearing aides from separate manufactures. She has found from years experience that there are four highest quality hearing aide manufacturers. Interestingly individual patients will hear better using a hearing aide from a single manufacturer. This can only be determined by objective detailed testing of 4 different hearing aides to find your best available hearing aide. In my case the Costco Hearing aide I was using was useless If you have significant hearing difficulties, I urge you to consult with Dr Sandra Ellis. I assure you that you simply can't do better!

I've seen Dr. Ellis for both balance issues and hearing issues and I stand by my opinion that she is one of the smartest people I've ever met. Her partner Dr. Setzer is of equally high caliber. While so many specialty clinics are being gobbled up by corporations, Seattle Hearing and Balance Center stands as an independent jewel. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I have nothing but praise for this HearUSA location in Bellevue WA…read more I was a new patient, and believe me I dreaded the process of getting hearing aids until my Medicare kicked in. Firstly, the receptionist KellyAnn was so friendly and easygoing, yet efficient. I was quickly given an appointment and to my surprise, I didn't have to wait weeks for it like in the past with my other Audiologists. I had my hearing test with Mira Rudic, an experienced Audiologist originally from Eastern Europe. I am always very curious about the science of my body, and as we went through my test results point for point, we discussed my specific hearing issues and what hearing aid technology options would best benefit me. There was zero up-sell. Zilch. She asked lifestyle, preferences, behaviors, and aesthetic questions so I could drill down through the options quickly. Mira has a 7+ year background in health coaching too, which may be why she is so customer-centered and patient. I took quite a while getting my hearing balanced with the Signia T AX aids, and Mira never made me feel rushed even though I went well beyond my appointment slot. In short, I returned to have adjustments and I was even happier with my purchase and the whole experience. Many people recommended I go to Costco, but research proved that the new Signia Hearing Aid technologies that my hearing loss will benefit from isn't found in even the top end models there. I can easily recommend this HearUSA location for Audiology and hearing aids. I did a ton of research and though I spent more for an upgraded model than Mira had first recommended, I feel confident that I made all the right choices.
