I've worn glasses for nearly 20 years and never been dissatisfied with a pair of glasses. Having just recently become a Costco member, I decided to try their frame shop. I thoughtfully chose a pair of glasses and was fitted, but when I went in to pick them up, I found them to be too wide for my face. The attendant told me there was nothing I could do. False. She could have remeasured me and ordered properly fitting frames. I am SO DISAPPOINTED. I will NOT order glasses from Costco again. read more

We have been using costco for years and it has never been a problem. Today we bought a razor for my husband and when we opened it the razor was full of hair. It's absolutely disgusting! I can't believe they allowed a return without checking it and put it back on the shelf for another customer to purchase. Is this the standard that Costco goes by?? Costco is a great store. I love the way the deals change from week to week. There are some real great deals in the middle of the store that are always worth checking out. There are self service lanes that we always use. These lanes take debit cards, not sure about the other lanes. The attendants are pretty helpful with scanning larger items to leave in your cart. The food court is very small and is located on the way out to the exit. The line can get a little difficult to maneuver when there are many people with their carts. Sometimes we want to stop but don't because the line is too long. The food court also only takes cash. On Saturdays around lunch the free food samples can be found throughout the store. This makes maneuvering very difficult. I avoid the store during this time, because the crowd and the chaos can get annoying. Deposit this the store is always clean. Always had excellent service at this location. Warranty coverage on most items is excellent. I bought a Keurig coffee machine and it stopped working after a year. Acted like an electronics problems. Took it back and they looked up the purchase date and asked if I wanted another one, store credit or cash back. No argument at all. This happened so fast that I was stunned and didn't know which one to choose. Decided on store credit and came back the next day and picked up another Keurig coffee machine. From what I can tell it is unusual for one to fail so quickly. I always go back to shop at this store. read more

I know , I know. How does a person not give Costco a 5 star rating? Im so tired of listening to baby boomers preach the gospel of their loyal Costco. Here's the thing. I shop at Costco a couple of times a month but only for a few items that I know are cheaper at Costco compared to everywhere else in the area. It saves me a tiny bit each month and if you watch the pennies the dollars take care of themselves. As a child I loved coming to Costco. It was fun, they had free samples, and I always could talk dad into buying me something even it was just candy or a CD. I didn't know the true price of something as a child and I had nothing to reference in regards to customer service or atmosphere. Now that I'm a full grown adult I see Costco differently. I pay a decent amount for my yearly membership and yet I feel treated like a vagrant here. Heres why: 1. Someone just absolutely has to see your card before you enter. Why? No one can buy anything without a Costco card anyways. Get with the times. No one is going to find exclusive industry secrets inside and squeal to the press. 2. The atmosphere sucks. Its loud, cold, crowded with slow moving old people, and there's someone on every aisle trying to sell you a stupid blender or a box of gross sunflower cookies that's supposedly exclusive to Costco for a limited time. The CO-Q10 lady practically forces you to take a sample. 3. You have to have a Amex card so I also have to transfer money or hit an ATM before coming here. The prices on MOST of their items are outrageous compared to the grocery store. 4. An employee stands at the door and checks your receipt every time you leave to ensure you didn't steal anything. Way to have respect for your loyal members. Better make sure we didn't steal anything even though we can afford membership. 5. If you have the entry level card they will ask you to upgrade at every other visit. Each time they ask they will lower the price on you so if you don't feel like paying full price but want the upgraded card than hold out a few times. read more

How can you not love Costco? Every location is great, but this location is even better. The selection is better than Tumwater's, the staff is so friendly. We have been shopping here off-and-on for about 10 years but now that I love closer, I am here every other week or so. The staff retention rate is incredible, I never see new people working - it is always the same crew, all the time. You know that it is a great business when the team members never leave and keep working here forever, and they start to feel like family. Side note, the returns desk is amazing. My mom bought me a ton of things for Christmas that I didn't want, and I knew she had gotten them from Costco. The customer service rep did not bat an eye at me bringing in a gift even though it could have been purchased at another Costco somewhere else, and they gave me cash, which I promptly went and spent... at Costco! The samples they put out are never shabby, and a lot of companies host huge displays here, so you can practically get a free lunch. But if you are still hungry after eating all the free samples, you can go to the food court and get a hot dog as big as your head for $1.50 read more

Love their warehouse. Hate their tire department. Tires service is very slow - a long wait at front desk and rotations will cost you at least an hour or two if not more of your time. I have been asked several times to leave my car and come back in 3 or 4 hours!!!! A few times had to go to customer service desk to get someone in tires. I will never buy tires again from Costco. Staff is not trained in normal tires store service items such as break inspections. My advice - you want tires go to a tire store. Within a mile a couple of tire stores that offer full fast tire service and meet or beat Costco price - and free service on your tires for their life and pretty fast service. read more

I ordered my tires online, and I was told no appointment was necessary. I made another appointment at another location to have my alignment and oil changed. I brought my vehicle in today and was told that it would be 3-4 hours before it was done. They got my car in and done in an hour which really helped me out. I feel bad because I was kind of rude, yet they still got my car in and out quickly. Thank you and I look forward to further business. read more

I love Costco. My executive membership is worth every penny. Many value added benefits in addition to quality products that you can buy at bulk rates. One rule I follow: if I see something I want at a good deal, I get it NOW. Total marketing ploy but sometimes good items sell out fast and take a while to get back in stock or season. Also, the return policy is fantastic. If you don't like your purchase just take it back no questions asked. I purchased a Dell computer and after about 18 months it flat out died. Luckily I got the second year warranty for a reasonable fee. I contacted Costco concierge services for help and they initiated a full investigation at no extra cost to me. They sent me a shipping box and I sent my PC off to get fixed. It returned within two weeks fully operational. Not one problem since. I have also used the recreational vehicle program to purchase an ATV. The price is pre-negotiated for you. This means that you bypass all of the salesmen's bullshit tactics that wear you out and drive up the price. Of course there is a limited selection using this program but I'm not picky when it comes to fun toys. My next car purchase will definitely be through Costco. read more

I prefer the Costco in Tumwater because they tend to have more organics, and I like the layout of the store better. However, Costco is Costco, and there are (usually) killer deals to be had. It isn't like the old days, when EVERYTHING there was definitely cheaper than elsewhere, but for the savvy shopper there are always great bargains to be had. Watch out for the prepared food/ holiday items as these tend to be the pricier ones. It is definitely better to make a list and stick to it, rather than wandering the aisles and going "ooooh! I love this Costco! I frequent this location, and have never had any major issues. Their prices are great, and their service is equal. The gas is always cheap too! My girlfriend and I always try to get gas here whenever we need to refill. I have never had a problem parking here either. I only had one minor issue, (I don't know if the fault lied on this location or Costco as a company). I have their "Executive" membership or whatever it's called where you pay $100 for a year, and you are going to get a refund at the end of the year. They told me that if you don't spend enough to get a return of at least $50, they'll just give you $50 back anyways. So, instead of paying $50 for the other membership, I thought it was a no-brainer. When I received my check in the mail, it was only $25. I went back to the store, but got gas before heading inside. When I swiped my card, it didn't read it, and apparently it was expired, (oops). I was about to get back in my car, but the gas lot attendant quickly stopped me and asked what the problem was. After explaining, he politely swiped his card for me and I got my gas and went inside where they fixed everything else for me and renewed my membership. They were all very nice and helpful. The food they sell isn't bad either. (I mean the hot dogs and pizza, etc.) The pizza would be a lot better if it wasn't as greasy though. The location in Tumwater is better at this. The smoothies are great! They could keep this area more clean though. Apparently a lot of people who shop at Costco are slobs and don't pick up after themselves. i filled a prescription that i had been getting for a while here. when i dropped it off they were friendly enough. But then i found out that for some reason, my twin sister (who is on the same insurance as me) was getting billed for my RX. When i went in to figure out why that was happening, they told me that it was my fault for not telling them i was a twin, because the insurance person id's don't have full names. The thing is, they could have easily called my insurance when they originally billed it to make sure they were putting it in for the right person, but they didn't. someone decided to guess instead of doing their job, and the had the audacity to blame me for it. I have never EVER had to specify that I'm a twin at any pharmacy i have ever been to. I asked to talk to the pharmacy manager and they said just about the same thing as the tech. and then, on top of that, they refused to do anything to right their mistake. Months later, my sister is still dealing with our insurance trying to bill her because the pharmacy never corrected their mistake. they are rude, they don't do their jobs well, and i will never be going there again. in fact, i caution people away from them. This place is super busy on the weekends so I only like to go here about once a month. I like to go right when they open because later in the day there will be tons of cheap white people clogging the aisles. When you have a heavy cart, it is annoying to maneuver around the salespeople they have setup at the end of every aisle with people congregating around for free samples. Never go here for gas because you have to have your costco card (can't enter phone number) and there is always a super long line. I ordered a phone from costco online and paid a $50 mail in rebate but have yet to receive it. Apparently you have to ask for it or they will just pocket it themselves... Also had a super rude cashier here the other day which prompted me to call later during the week to tell a manager what had happened. Still waiting for a call back... One more strike and I'm ending my membership. I guess the moral of the story is you get what you pay for. read more

Cashier was a total jerk I was with my sister just getting a few things didn't have my costco card so I was borrowing hers cashier wouldn't let me pay her cash infront of her it was against the rules since alcohol was in my purchase, but she id'd both of us.. Costco in general is awesome, but the Lacey Costco is a step up. The store is bright and clean, unlike some Costco's. The parking lot is easy to get into and exit from. This store just seems to have less customers then other Costco's, which is find with me. Returns are made simple. The products are great. The employees are very nice. What's not to like about Costco? They have affordable prices for mostly good quality products. Sometimes you end up with a lemon but they are good about giving you your money back or exchanging. I have gotten to know many of the employees and we chat for a few seconds about the Seahawks on the way in out out. Its give this one a little more personal feel to it. I quit using the eye care and pharmacy here as the glasses I got were not very good quality. They scratch very fast were glasses from other optical places don't. The pharmacy is so slow in getting my yearly flu shot. Last year I was told my wife and I could fill out the form as we do EVER year and wait 45 minutes or fill it out and come back in a day or two. We came back 2 days later and they threw our forms out because we didn't come back fast enough so went went to another pharmacy and got our shots in about 10 minutes at no cost. read more

Who doesn't love to shop at Costco's? I like their assortment, their prices, lately everything on them. The initial quality of big sale items is great and you get a decent bang out of your buck. My wife and I are "black" card members as we are spending quite a bit of money there, yet I have to advise you. If you aren't disciplined and stick to your list to the point, you will end up buying more than you intended to. My wife and I make usually a list of what we need and go for it, I've caught myself though going in for just few items and ended up with a $600 bill. But in all fairness to Costco's concept of neatly placing the stuff in your face, you truly don't need. It's worth the price you pay, as all the items we've bought there are still in service and pretty much in the good nick we've bought them. Groceries, produce, their awesome muffins, you name it, you can trust it. This gives me a good confidence, that I'm buying very good quality. Why then not 5 stars? Well, in order for that to happen, Costco should change their policy and allow other means of pay, not just AMEX and any debit card. read more

I could honestly spend a day just browsing if they would let me. It still amazes me that I can buy a 36 pack of Dew who knew? This is one of the newer Costco locations. The selection here is not as comprehensive as the stores near Seattle but has mostly everything. The gas station was recently expanded to accommodate more cars at a given time. The lines for gas aren't too long. Also the parking lot is not as crowded compared to the other locations near Seattle. And also can't go wrong with food court! read more
