On MAY 13TH I purchased a package of pork chops for $10.44. When I got home I proceeded to set up my cook. When I opened the package of chops I could smell they were off. I immediately got back in my car and headed back to the store. When I arrived I spoke to the manager who was helpful and kind however I feel I need to report this. One of the employees went to the meat department to get a new package of chops. I asked the manager to open the package to make sure the chops were fresh. She opened the package and we could small they also were bad. We both went back to the meat department to find a fresh package. As she proceeded to open each package they were all bad! How could this be? They returned my money no problem but I needed chops to cook for my family's dinner so I went to Winco. I am new to the area and had decided to check the Grocery Outlet out since the price of food is so high. I was very disappointed. At Winco I was able to buy the same pork chops for $2.38 per pound and the package was only $8.40. The pork at the outlet was $3.48 per pound for rotten meat. I wonder how many unsuspecting customers brought home rotted chops and put them in the freezer for another day. If it wasn't so late in the day I would have done this. So if you recently bought chops at this store and put them in your freezer I suggest you return them because when you defrost them you will find out they are un edible This place was no bargain. I love Gross Out. I can usually find 90% of what I need here. I consistently find organic meats, veggies, burritos, salad dressings, beer and more. Then I always find random things and don't mind trying them for affordable prices. I love shopping here. I bought my favorite meatloaf dish here. I can find Blue brand cat food most of the time. I bought silly plastic hooks that attach onto my rear car seats and I can hang bags on them to secure them in the trunk. I've had a cactus in our living room for years, that I found at Grocery Outlet. I always know what I'm going there for, but I never know what I'm going to find. Great prices but everything is almost expired. The fruit I bought- one needed to be tossed immediately and the rest were bad in less than 2 days. The lighting was TERRIBLE. Lighter were flickering or out through out the whole building. I was only in there a few minutes for milk and eggs and left with a nasty headache from the lights. I love grocery outlet they always have good prices on food. You can always walk out with a basket of food if you shop right. Especially if you're a couponer!! Now, they even have an app!! Looking for discounted brand name deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, moisturizers, and vitamins?? This location has got you covered!! Great health food area, frozen food, and produce. The only area that is lacking is their meat department. They never really have much for meat. Maybe stuff to grill or for lunch or a quick supper, but nothing good to stock up on or good sales hardly ever. Last time I was there, I wasn't allowed to use the restroom so I don't know if that's a permanent thing now!! So keep that in mind!! That's total BS, people do end up having to Pee or out of nowhere when shopping. You're now pushing people literally out of your store to do their business!! How many do you think are SERIOUSLY going to return to checkout?? (Something to think about) Like we can hold it, to finish shopping, wait in line, when most the time there's only one register open at first, then walk to our car an unload our groceries, then drive somewhere to use the restroom?! Like anyplace, it's about the people they hire. They've got some really good folks. I'm surprised at how many great employees they have considering the current workforce and poor service one often gets at grocery stores. Once, after 30 visits or so, there was an employee that I came across who was disengaged. Mostly though, motivated personnel that open a line whenever 3 or 4 customers are stacked up at a register. It's cool how they come and get the next person in line and bring them to their open register rather than making an announcement for the guy who just showed up so he can step in line first. It's a no fills store -so no ambiance, but there's great deals, excellent products and good customer service. I'm a regular here and prefer it to several stores in the surrounding area. Unfortunately, it must be a bit of a magnet for shameless shoppers that do some lifting. So, I imagine the employees are on alert. It's best not to have a huge trench coat with lots of pockets or a big purse you could fill with alcohol. I've never had an issue getting stopped, but I did see a couple situations. One particular lady got confronted when she was b-lining for the door with a giant shoulder bag that was stuffed. I almost don't want to post a good review because it attracts more shoppers, but this Grocery Outlet deserves good marks. read more

I love grocery outlet. Seriously! So many great Christmas decorations at very affordable prices. Not to mention the amazing selection of high marked down priced items to bring home and eat. 6.99 for a variety box of poptarts with 48 poptarts in it. What a great deal. My favorite zero calorie drinks that even at winco cost 98 cents cost 2/1.00 at grocery outlet. I couldnt believe it. The only bad thing about it was for some reason they only carried 3 flavors , strawberry watermellon, orange mango and lemonade. They dont have my favorites like the green one called kiwi strawberry I think cant remember. Also the customer service is great, my mom and I seen these cute funny animated christmas decorations and the cashier started them all up and we had quite the laugh. If you didn't save money here, you aren't trying hard enough. Annie's Naturals dressing for .99 - regularly 4 bucks. Blue Cheese crumble - regularly 4 bucks, 50 cents. Olitalia olive oil - regularly 14.99 - 8.99 here. Compare that to the Albertson's house brand which is 9.39 - still more expensive. Classico sauce - 1.99. The selection might not be as consistent as other places, but you can't beat these prices. Grocery Outlet just made the rotation of regular stops on food shopping trips. read more

On a recent visit and on a phone call, I was impressed by how friendly, pro-active, and helpful the staff were. Great customer service! For me, it's always interesting to see what's new in the store. I found a great deal on an item , didn't have a basket, and was making do carrying it all precariously balanced in my arms. I'm almost tempted to give it a bad review so I can have the place all to myself! But I love Grocery Outlet so much, that I want everyone to know! Not a trip to grocery outlet goes by that I don't save at least as much as I have spent, and for name brand, quality items! What I love about Grocery Outlet is that it's the perfect place to go if you're curious about healthy eating (quinoa chips, chia seeds, gluten free baking etc. but you don't get the high prices and snobbery of the expensive markets. However, for you less health conscious individuals, they have a very solid selection of the kinds of food an entire family would like. The one down side is that the products change fairly regularly so if you see something you can't live without, get it then, because you may not see it in stock for awhile. But that's gives you opportunity to try new items that they sell, which are often just as good. And don't get me started on the price of alcohol here. You can get a bottle of wine for $1.99. Yes, you read that correctly. They also have a nice selection of beer and ciders for similar prices. It's actually kind of ridiculous how low the prices are here. You should probably drop everything you are doing and go there right now. read more

This location is NOT CLOSED!!! They were repairing the main entrance, and the door adjacent to it was perfectly accessible. We visit here about 2-3 times a week to see what's new and grab snacks. This place is awesome! It's hard walking out empty handed and we always have pleasant interactions with the staff. Great finds...always! I've shopped here a handful of times, and there is always a bargain to be found. It's smaller than a regular sized grocery store and the selection is somewhat limited, but there are plenty of gems to find. It reminds me of the old Be-Lo grocery stores on the east coast. There is a nice variety of frozen food as well as dry goods, and they have meat, produce, and various household items. The prices tend to be lower than most of the area competitors, and sometimes you can get a steal of a deal. There isn't a lot of shelving like a regular grocery store, so some of the items are still in their shipping boxes. It kind of gives you that feel of shopping at a warehouse store like Sam's Club or Costco. There is a small checkout area and usually only one or two lanes open, but they are good about calling for backup if the line starts to build up. They don't have self-checkout, but I don't think it gets too busy to where they would really need it. I don't think they accept manufacturer's coupons, but the savings make it worthwhile. This is one of the few grocery stores that actually gives a military discount, so purchases over $35 will save $3. A small gesture that makes a big impression. The staff is very courteous and pleasant, and they always tell you how much you saved on your shopping trip. They even have complimentary coffee for their customers. read more

This store is always clean and offers a variety of different products on a weekly basis. Usually stop here first to grab cheaper groceries and then head to fred meyer. I will say some products are just as expensive as the stores (feminine products, toilet paper, etc)... Usually don't buy the toilet paper/hygiene products as they are cheaper at your local stores. Grocery outlet doesn't accept coupons but sell products at manufacture's price. Doesn't hurt to stop here first. read more

I used to love this store for its deals but the past two times I've been in carrying a backpack, I've been asked to check my backpack when I've gone in multiple, id say between 70-100 times before without being questioned. First and foremost, I'm sorry if your store has a problem with theft, that has nothing to do with me and to have someone imply that I'm going to steal while being checked out is embarrassing, I have no problem showing that I have nothing in there from the store upon checkout. Secondly if i have to check my backpack I don't want to see a single purse or reusable grocery bag on the entire floor of that store. If your going to say it to one person you better say it to all of them. lacey grocery outlet, you are huge! we shop at grocery outlet for the random crap that costs too much at the coop or the grocery store. like ice cream, and crackers. things that aren't good for us, so why spend too much money on them? this has been my logic at the westside groce out for six years. but now i have moved to lacey - so far into lacey that it's olympia again - and there is this grocery outlet. and it's huge. it's gigundo. we followed the normal 'buy what we want' pattern at this store, and spent twice as much money here. because it's gigantic. yet somehow, it seems quieter than the westside store - maybe because it's never so crowded. it's newer, opened in 2006, so it lacks a little of the charm of the westside one. still, it's the best thing in that soulless intersection of shopping hell. read more

Before I go on a big grocery hunt I always hit Grocery outlet first! They just have a bunch of random stuff that you need and it's all marked down from what you'd pay at Walmart! Love this place for some good deals! They always get funky cool stuff in too, I'm always going through the dog stuff they get because it's always so good and so cheap! Only negative is that certain things will be very close to expiration (not always) but you just have to make sure to look before purchasing as this is a outlet store. Another negative is that some products they might have one month they might not have the next month. Other than that this place is great for that budget shopper! read more

It's well known within my circle of family and friends that I'm a bit of a grocery store snob. I don't even apologize for it anymore. So, it's without saying that it took quite a bit of convincing from a friend who is a total Grocery Outlet fanatic, that I give it a whirl. Well, I did, and I have to say I'm quite impressed with the prices. My loooooong receipt told me I saved $93 shopping there. What's not to love about that? I am also pretty pleased with the wine selection (very random choices), produce (lots of organically grown offerings), and the gluten free section. They also carry local dairy (Smith Bros.) and eggs... Awesome! The layout of the store does not make a whole lot of sense and I ended up just aimlessly wandering around putting random items in my cart (nice strategy on their part). Overall I would have to say that you cannot beat the prices here or the friendliness of the staff. I may have to start shopping here a little more often! read more

Always my first stop for groceries. They don't always have everything I want, but if they don't have it, I don't always need it. It does help if you know a bit about good food, and unique food. Was buying leeks there and someone said, "Those are the biggest green onions I've ever seen." That person will not reap all the benefits Grocery Outlet has to offer! Fresh produce, cheese, luncheon meats, fresh meats, dairy (really love the milk they carry), candy, snacks, crackers, etc., surprising wine selection, frozen fish and poultry, frozen vegetables and other frozen foods, and often a surprising array of organic foods, health and beauty, laundry and household, general canned goods. As one person noted, you can often do better elsewhere on paper products but only if you were planning on going there anyway. Gas and time may make up the difference. - Prices often half of retail. - Clean and well organized but the lighting could be better. - Staff is friendly, and helpful. Once in a while you run across a jerk. Don't let the odd one put you off. - Food and goods are guaranteed. In 20+ years of shopping GO, I have only had to return two things. There was no argument. - Produce is fine but but plan on using it soon. (I have had fresh veggies last well over a week in the frig.) I always buy pantry veggies like onions and potatoes there. - Meats are fine. Again, use or freeze them quickly. - Basic canned goods; unless it is something very specific, I don't buy anywhere else, except perhaps Big Lots. - If you find something you really like, buy what you can reasonably store. They may not get it again. - Canned, dry, and frozen foods are generally good beyond their expiration date, but keep an eye on them. Don't buy anything dented or leaking. This Grocery Outlet is one of the best I've been too! When I go here, I always find a good deal, I wouldn't be able to find cheaper anywhere else. The staff is always so friendly and nice, especially Makayla. It's pretty clean and the shelves are very organized. I've heard people say it's dirty there, but I really don't see it when I shop there. The product they sell is high quality for cheap prices. The great customer service is shown when they open new cash registers when the line is too long and when they always ask if you need help when they see you. read more

This review is mostly for their beer selection. After striking out at 2 other places, I tried this place as a last resort. I was looking for the best beer ever, dogfish head 90 minute ipa. Ive driven past this place several times and not once had I ever considered going in. However using it as my last ditch effort, I went in. Wouldn't you know it, they had it.I was super pumped to find it there!!!! The rest of the store seems very unrefined.
