I love grocery outlet. Seriously! So many great Christmas decorations at very affordable prices. Not to mention the amazing selection of high marked down priced items to bring home and eat. 6.99 for a variety box of poptarts with 48 poptarts in it. What a great deal. My favorite zero calorie drinks that even at winco cost 98 cents cost 2/1.00 at grocery outlet. I couldnt believe it. The only bad thing about it was for some reason they only carried 3 flavors , strawberry watermellon, orange mango and lemonade. They dont have my favorites like the green one called kiwi strawberry I think cant remember. Also the customer service is great, my mom and I seen these cute funny animated christmas decorations and the cashier started them all up and we had quite the laugh. I will be going back for sure

I like this store. The only thing i don't like about this store is that they don't have a rewards card like other stores of its size do.

Good prices. Probably the best prices around for common groceries and snacks. Only two stars because of the terrible cashier.

Yogurt is 6$ at other stores and only $3 at Winco For the same brand. A warning for women who go shopping alone. I was almost attacked by a man in the parking lot and had to call the police. He blocked me into my parking spot and got out of his vehicle screaming at me. Just warning people get crazy here, maybe Lacey in General. So I usually take my husband now, and do not go alone. The service is better now, and I have not seen the cashier who was rude before. The customer service people are so nice, quick and helpful. And the cashiers are generally friendly and pretty fast. Glad I gave this place another chance.

Today, a man with a long unkempt beard and a dog half his height (unleashed) were walking the aisles. I complained to customer service about this. This is a filthy habit in a grocery store where there is food, food in open containers (bulk items) meat and produce. The manager (a black middle-aged female) and a security person, approached the man and recieved the same excuse, that it is a security animal. The manager allowed him to continue shopping. I then complained to the manager about WINCO practices. The manager then threatened to have me thrown out of the store. I am a senior citizen, older WHITE male with white hair. Tell me this is not DISCRIMINATION. We older white men are targets for discriminatory hatred among black females. This is a matter that needs to be addressed. That manager needs to find work elsewhere. No customer should be treated that way for complaining about store policy. WINCO - LACEY is going to become a homeless encampment, and I guess that is ok. Every type of behavior and all people, except older white men, are welcome/with their animals, at the "not so diverse" WINCO-LACEY. White men/older white men are being marginalized by black females. That is a fact. DISCRIMINATION should not be allowed. This behavior of the black, female WINCO store manager should not be tolerated . Corporate should do something about this. Corporate has been notified. This doesn't end with a Yelp review.

In the past. My last 3 cake orders were WRONG over the last 3 months (march, April and May birthdays in my house). The first 2 were only missing the piped writing. No big deal. Which brings me to the reason i will NEVER shop there again. I ordered a 2 layer bakery cake for my son's birthday. When I ordered i specifically ordered the 2 layer cake. NOT the four layer private selections factory made garbage they presented to me at pick up. I spoke to 2 bakery employees and a manager. All who seemed less than concerned. They even tried to convince me that it was 2 layer but the tag says 4 layer for some unrelated reason. I have actual grocery/bakery experience. I know these things happen but to ignore the fact they did NOT fill my order properly was really bothersome. The lack of customer service and the outright lie to my face that these 2 cakes are the same was enough for me. I wont go out of my way to shop or order here again.

** Disclaimer: this pertains only to the sushi section of the deli **…read more I went to QFC in the small hour between hunger and resignation, when a man tells himself that food is only fuel and believes it just long enough to be disappointed. The sushi lay in the cooler, lit like something preserved rather than prepared, each roll holding its shape with the quiet desperation of a thing meant to be eaten quickly and forgotten. The rice was the first betrayal. It had taken on water and weight, swollen and slack, as though it had rained too long on a field that once held promise. Good rice resists the teeth and then yields. This rice surrendered immediately and lingered, clinging in damp clots that spoke of time and neglect. The fish arrived in modest portions, shaved thin and laid on without conviction. It was not bad fish. That was the cruelty of it. It was clean and harmless and forgettable, like a story told without danger. There was no richness, no cold brightness of the sea, only the sense that someone, somewhere, had decided this much was enough. And over everything came the spicy mayo. It was applied generously, endlessly, in a way that suggested charity rather than care. It pooled and smeared and promised heat. There was none. The sauce was pale, fat with sweetness, a soft blanket meant to hide the absence beneath it. It did not wake the tongue. It suffocated it.. I ate in silence, because there was nothing to say. When it was finished, I felt full but not fed, a condition worse than hunger. Some meals stay with you. This one passed through like a dull afternoon, leaving no mark except the knowledge that next time, I would wait.

I came here to Ben Thanh with a specific mission: finding shrimp paste that I couldn't track down at another oriental market down the street. Thankfully, they had exactly what I was looking for, which immediately earned them some points in my book. It's always a relief when a place carries those harder-to-find items. While browsing the aisles, I was pleasantly surprised to spot a few other things I'd like to come back for in the future, like different varieties of rice and Chinese sausages. One thing that really caught me off guard was that they sold baklava here! I decided to give it a try and, honestly, it tasted pretty good. I didn't do a full grocery haul this time, so I can't really comment on how their prices compare, but for convenience alone it's a great little shop to have nearby. Since I live fairly close in Lacey, I can definitely see myself stopping by again to check out more of their selection. There wasn't really a line; the cashier spoke both English and Vietnamese, was polite, welcoming enough, and quick to ring me up. Overall, a nice little market that came through when I needed it.

Everything was cleanly shelved and the aisles made sense in terms of product layout. Caters very well to southeast Asian cuisines, notably Vietnamese, Indonesian, Thai. I quickly grabbed a big jar of kimchi from the cooler, a bag of jasmine rice, soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, and of course dehydrated shitake mushrooms. This allows you to get started with a bare bones Asian meal of rice with sides. Anyway I was well pleased with the prices. I didn't have to sift through massive choice like at H Mart, and I could get shopping done quick!
