not much to review at this club. great products, good prices and massive quantities. every employee is very helpful and pleasant, i guess when you hire well and provide more compensation that "Arkansas Club" you get better customer experiences. after 6+ years of using this location we encountered the best employee ever. Lea worked at many different locations since 1992 and she was very personable while being highly efficient at the checkout. so when you bulk shopping needs call be sure to seek out Lea's lane at checkout. read more

I'm a Costco-head fer-sure. I really like this Costco and ever since it opened down the road from my go-to hotel in St. Louis - well, in Fenton/Valley Park - we usually stop in for a few staples, or for gas, or just to check it out just because we are COSTCO-HEADS. First impression....wow, what a big parking lot - we don't have to fight people for a parking spot! Me likes - me likes very much...well, except for this one woman who gave me the crook-eye cause I was in her way, everyone else has been very nice (like most people in the LOU) and this store is so nice and clean and they give really good BIG samples - on this particular trip we got some cinnamon rolls with Cinnabon frosting samples - YUM, and being the suckers that we are, we bought two containers! This was the first Costco we went to that had self check out - years before the Chicago area started bringing it to their stores. I love it! Sometimes walking around this very organized, very prettied up and manicured Costco - I feel like I am on the Stepford Wives set .... but I guess that's better than what I feel when I go to the crazy cuckoo Costcos in my area where people are rude, there are no parking spots, lines are crazy and I just want to rip my hair out right? read more

If you've never had a Costco Birthday Cake your missing out, besides who doesn't love the cream filling. Costco Tire center not only has low prices but will rotate & BALANCE tires while you shop getting 2 things done at once. Most shops charge $20 to $30 each time to balance 4 tires & its included at Costco and another bonus is they fill your tires with nitrogen vs air. Costco new car pricing service was the lowest of a few pricing services I compared last year. Kirkland Signature beats out many brand name items! The only downsides are sometimes long lines on a Saturday but its that way at many stores. read more

Why is every St. Louis Costco such an awful commute from the downtown area? If you can get past the veritable mountain you have to climb to shop at this store, you'll find the journey has been worth it: Costco is the place to stock up on clothes, snacks, hard liquor, meat, frozen food, books, medicine -- you name it. A particular weakness: the delicious muffins (especially the banana nut), although I haven't had one in about ten years after discovering the things were essentially 1,000 calories each. Yeesh. If you sign up for a Costco American Express account, you've made a good choice -- this card is consistently rated one of the top credit cards available to consumers, especially if you buy a lot of gas or shop regularly at a Costco. It has annual fee of $50, but that also includes your Costco membership, so it's probably a good way to do things. The food court's always a winner here, too. Where else can you get a delicious hot dog for a handful of quarters? read more

This Costco is ok unless you have to go to the customer service where there is a wickedly mean middle aged woman. She doesn't care how big or small your need is, she is just ready to pounce. She must need a day off or at the very least a cigarette break maybe? I'll never approach that counter again if she is there. Out of the three St Louis area Costco stores, this is hands down the best. It's the newest, it's the cleanest, it's the best stocked. Unlike the South County and St Peters stores, this Costco has a wide selection of very nice, very well priced wines. They also have a wider selection of luxury products (at good prices, of course!). This is one of the worst customer service I have ever received in my life including the manager when I called and complained about one of their employees. I give them a zero star for bad managing and I also give them a zero star for not knowing how to deal with customers. My family and I have been shopping here for years and yet one bad and stands made us upset that we are not canceling our membership. So event happened August 5th at 6 PM. I have to go in at 6:02 to return something I just bought and walked out from and they would not let my husband with my two kids come inside to wait inside and have him wait outside in the 95° heat. I love me some Costco stores. They are a plethora of greatness at seemingly great prices. Well, this location was no slouch. Quick List Time: 1. Great staff (typical of Costco) 2. Clean 3. Easily Navigated 4. MOST IMPORTANTLY - They had Johnnie Walker Double Black Scotch for sale, at half of retail!!! Holy cow, I should have bought ten of them. I used to belong to another warehouse club. I joined Costco because it's closer to home and has cheaper gas than all the other stations around. I'm very happy with the change to Costco. Costco has proven over and over again to have some of the best prices in the St. Louis metro area. Gasoline tends to be about 10 cents lower than surrounding stations (Sam's stays close). Milk prices at Costco tend to run 50 cents less than everyone (with the exception of Aldi). All of their merchandise tends to be equal or higher quality than Sam's at an equal or lower price. From tires, to cars... wine to cruises... you will be hard pressed to find any other store that carries similar merchandise and includes similar savings. Employees are top notch and should be with the great manner in which Costco treats them. Admittedly, finding an employee not providing samples, on the store's floor can be a trick. Save yourself some time and don't bother to ask "is there more in back?" The answer 99.9% of the time will be "What we have is already on display." Checkout is quick and efficient. About the only thing that slows down the process are customers that haven't figured out that your in store choice in payment is limited to cash, check, debit card, Costco Cash Card, or an American Express card until the end of March, 2016 -- then Visa will then take over. Online you can pay with AmEx, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa. Great store! read more

I love the Costco grocery department. They have plenty of organic produce and proteins. I wish some of the items were not so large but if you look at some of the prices it's still cheaper to buy there and not use it all than to buy at a regular store. My favorite items are: The Kirkland Organic Eggs, The Crumbled President Feta Cheese, The Pure Farms Bacon, berries, etc. I was there yesterday because I read online that Costco had started to carry Niman Ranch bacon. Apparently this product has not yet made it to St. Louis but I hope it does very soon. They had a beautiful new display of craft beers and ciders that they are selling by the bottle. I bought several of these. This particular location has a very basic but nice selection of kosher meats if that is your thing. Another favorite item is the chicken soup they make with the rotisserie chickens. This item is seasonal and they haven't started making it yet for the winter. Also, I filled up my gas tank for $1.94 a gallon yesterday. I try to avoid going here on the weekends as I am averse to the crowds but I did walk in like 5 minutes after they opened and got out quick! Yes, I like bacon and kosher meat, sue me. read more

If ive learned one thing from going to Costco. It's hard to leave to store without spending over $100 every time. I try to avoid this place on Saturdays because it's a mad house. Sometimes they have great deals and sometimes not. It's all hit and miss. The #1 thing I've find to be the best deal is there cases of monster energy drinks. 24 16oz cans for $28. Not bad just dollar and change pre can. Gas stations and other stores are normally 2-$4 is the best deal. The food court is nice. Most of the time I get a hot dog and a Pepsi for $1.50. You can't beat that. 1/4 pound hot dog is great. The pizza is also good. I get all my gas from Costco it's always cheaper than other gas stations. read more

This store has great employees. Especially Mary at the front desk who was beyond helpful in getting our cards for us since the St. Peter's card was down the other day. She also explained all of their special programs to us and really was super sweet. Kevin and I enjoyed walking around sampling the various foods - except this nasty vegan cracker which tasted absolutely HORRIBLE. I spit it out and needed gum or something! There are so many good deals and sales extra on top of their already typically cheaper prices. We got this awesome tv wall mount that was the same price as one at Target from the same brand but a way better version (can swivel, tilt, ect and the one at Target could only tilt). We were super stoked. Can't wait to go back and at least stock up on good meat deals and household items like TP, paper towels and foil. Two people can't eat much so some of their stuff is just way to much food and will spoil. If you have a huge family *cue the Duggers here* this store would be perfect to stock up on bulk food. read more

Costco is just the best! I've been a member in California stores and in this location and though some items appear to be regional, (the coffee selection is better at this store than any I saw in CA and I miss my Coach's Oats, which I haven't been able to find here) overall I just love this store. Great selections, fantastic prices, way less crowded than other stores I've been in. You also can't beat Costco gas. The employees at this location are stellar-very helpful and personable, which makes coming here enjoyable! I suggest an Executive membership if you have little ones who you buy diapers, wipes, formula, etc. for. Those items really add up in cost and the Exec membership earns you dollars back at the end of the year on money spent. Why not get some $ back on those items? Our favorite Costco items also include rotisserie chicken, bagged broccoli, apple juice, cheddar cheese (in 2 lb blocks for 4.99!), pizzas (made in house), and sodas. We buy half of the items for our house here! FYI they also accept debit cards, so while it's a bit annoying to be stuck using only one type of credit card, you are not forced to get one if you choose to simply use debit. read more

So after about 30/40 I finally get some help from Eric.. he was nice enough to let me know that he would be with me after this current person he was waiting on. Duh, I have eyes.. The first thing that pissed me off was he didn't even use my insurance, an after I realized that he didn't charge my insurance I asked if he could cancel the order an redo the order.. - all three of the coworkers told me to fill a claim with my insurance company... No, they messed up & they should fix it. Secondly, I asked to called when both of my glasses arrived. Got a text message saying they are BOTH in. Waited an waited again, to find out that only one showed up an I would have to come back for my other pair. !? YOUVE GOT TO KIDDING ME! The glasses came from the same LAB... So Tammi told me they would be here on Monday an now she's told me they will be in on Tuesday...? read more

The best customer service in the St Louis area is the south county location, in my opinion. And the traffic situation at this location, sometimes makes you want to scream and shout. I have been a member of Costco Wholesale since 2009 and previously have had no issues until October of 2019. On October 11, 2019 I bought gas at the Manchester Costco Wholesale Gas Station as I have done many times before. On October 11, 2019 a percentage of members who had bought regular unleaded gas on that date at this location began to have problems with their vehicles. I unfortunately was one of those members. Costco Wholesale reached out by sending a letter "Costco will reimburse expenses associated with any fuel system diagnostics, repairs, or related expenses such as a rental car." This letter was received three weeks after the incident. However, Fox 2 news had posted the story online three days following the incident of bad gas. I have been in contact with Costco off an on since the incident and have done all that they have requested by contacting numerous auto shops for estimates to fix my vehicle. Costco has left me with a no longer working vehicle at no fault of my own and are no longer returning any emails about the situation. I will no longer be recommending to anyone to do business with such a place that goes back on its word to its once loyal customers. DO NOT BUY THEIR GAS read more

I absolutely love this store and shop it on monthly basis. I signed up for their premier membership and I'm glad that I did, not only do I get cashback on my purchases but they also offer added bonuses. I recently booked a trip from Costco travel and saved 50%, that within itself is worth the $110 annual membership. I also used them to order checks, get life insurance (about $8 cheaper than my current one for same coverage) among other stuff. I recently learned that if you finance your mortgage through Costco they only charge you a flat $500 fee. If you are a home owner you know that when you first purchased your home you paid about $2000 in fees or so. Other good thing is that they will try their best beat your current rate. Lenders have to be very competitive to stay on the Costco's platform otherwise Costco will drop them (per their agreement). I plan on giving them a try on my next mortgage which will be soon. Consumer reports recently rated Costco as the #1 mortgage lender when it came to fees when compared to other mortgage lenders. They also have partnerships with auto dealers where you can save 10 to 15% on services. I would highly recommend the premier membership because it is definitely worth it. And at the end of the year there will send you a $55 check regardless of how much money you've spent there. Whether it's .00 or thousands! Plus having a friendly staff, clean store and great prices is a plus. read more

Customer service desk is extremely rude. Her name is Robin. My mom and I are from China, but I lived here for over 10 years with fluent English speaking. My mom just traveled here to visit me and she really wants to shop at Cosco for the experience, since China has just recently opened one. Robin was there and she rolled her up the moment we started speaking English and was very rude with explaining the card membership. She won't answer my simple questions such as what's the difference b/t the Visa card and a regular membership card. She actually walked away straight from us and I started to tear up... since it took my parents so long to travel here and this is what we got?? This type of customer service by Cosco? I just can't believe.... The boss' boss came to me and apologized briefly. And I was told if I'm not satisfied, I can call their customer service phone number. Huge, way bigger than the one in South County. Getting here is a bit tricky. You have to drive towards the end if you are coming from Manchester. The layout is a bit different though. Like other people have said about other warehouse stores, if you see your fave food, get tons of them. Otherwise, it will be gone sometimes for good. As in the case of me finding my fave frozen French baguettes. Totally gone. None at the South County Costco, & none at this location. :( read more

Sampled some rotten attitudes at Costco. I have been a member of Costco for almost 10 years. I've spent thousands of dollars here and even bought friends and family memberships as gifts. But the sheer disrespect and callous attitude of Georgia, possibly the snarkiest and rudest sample lady of all time, has left a horrendous taste in my mouth. I had sampled a tiny slice of pizza and went back for another for my friend who was standing next to me when she suddenly physically lifted the tray up and pulled it back while saying "THIS IS NOT LUNCH!!!" I was stunned as was my friend who had come to the store with me and several other Costco members who witnessed it. I understand that there is a social decorum to sampling and wasn't trying to make a meal out of these samples but this lady acted like I was. She acted like this was her personal pizza and I left the store humiliated and embarrassed. Georgia will be on my mind for being the worst sample personnel of all time. I'm also in the process of buying a house and because of this incident I've decided to purchase appliances from somewhere other than Costco. When my membership comes time for renewal I'll give Sam's Club a closer look. read more

There are always goodies to be found here, beyond the run-of-the-mill bulk/staple items. The table of books is worth a stop-- King's latest doorstop "11/22/63 " was on offer at a substantial discount from the cover price. Wine selections here are stellar and definitely deserving of a look. I was initially wary of the clothing items, but after finding a sweater here from 525 America, a label that I'm familiar with from my days of perusing Bluefly.com and boutiques, I'm a convert. It is always nice to be surprised--in a good way--by the unexpected items available, especially when one is expecting merely to replenish basic household items. The restrooms are clean and the signage is good, and the customer service is friendlier here than even at the grocery store. I only wish that this store would bring back the delicious tabbouleh that they used to have--I've noticed on the past few visits that the section where it used to be stocked is now given over to every flavor of hummus imaginable. If anyone with decisonmaking authority at Costco is reading this review, this is a friendly plea to take note. read more

I buy the grain free dog food with salmon and sweet potatoes for my dogs here, great price and rated good by Whole Dog Journal. Dog beds and flea meds also good price. Next major purchase is Bridgestone tires. Most of my impulse buying is in the food section, love their chicken salad, vitamin selection, turkey sandwich with Caesar salad, try something new every time I go. Only complaint is the big guy with the glasses who literally harasses me at the checkout about the EXetive membership which is not a value unless you spend 5000 dollars or more, which I don't..... read more

I am soooo frustrated with the individuals who check you out and act like they are doing you a favor...I spend $200-450 every couple weeks at this Costco and might have just made my last visit to this location. These guys totally ignored the fact that I had bags for my purchases. I dont think it is too much to ask to either put the small goods in the bags I bring or allow me to do so...both checked and cart dude purposely ignored me and then gave me daggers as I left. I've never had anything but great experiences at this Costco. Friendly staff and I had an issue with signing up (had bought a deal online) and even though it was a pain, they totally helped me out and gave me all the perks I was supposed to receive, even though I know they didn't have to do that. Great selection and always fun to just go and browse. I am consistently disappointed in their lack of plus-size clothes, and it seems most of the children's clothes are for toddler on down. Poor quality control and customer service. Made the half hour drive to purchase what was supposed to be a new camera for $600. Got back home and found the box had been opened and the camera removed. Called the store to find they were already closed and the person wouldn't even take down my name. After stressing about the situation all night, I returned to the store the next morning to find the the camera on display had the same serial number as the box I had been given. Their mistake was obvious, so they made the exchange without argument. However they offered no apology and acted as if it was no big deal. I guess it wasn't to them, but in my opinion it shows their complete lack of customer service. read more

I have been a devoted Costco customer for many years, in Michigan, California, North Carolina, and now Missouri. The Manchester store ranks as my absolute favorite. The photo department is AMAZING! Not only are they friendly and helpful, but extremely talented. They have solved more problems than I could recount. The quality is exceptional, and they are FAST! You cannot beat the price to boot. Getting a prescription filled is a delight. I never have to wait, I'm greeted with a smile and by my name. You feel like you're at the neighborhood pharmacy. Once again, the cost savings make this a no-brainer. The automotive center has never disappointed me. We get tires and batteries for all our vehicles there, and the balance and rotation is free. It is so convenient, drop the car off on the way in to shop, and on your way out they drive it out to meet you. Friendliest gas station attendants you'd ever want to meet, and the check out clerks are stand-outs as well. They always have a kind word, or funny observation to make your experience more personal. The optometry personnel take the time to ensure your order is perfect and have handled lengthly insurance issues for me without fail. Whoever is in charge of selecting and training employees here is worth their weight in gold. Job well done. read more

The pharmacy person was very rude to my wife today. My wife left her work at 1:00 to get heart worm medicine for our two dogs she arrived at the counter at 1:21 and the pharmacist would not get the packages of heart worm medicine he told my wife he takes lunch at 1:30 and will be back at 2:15 and then he walked away from my wife did nothing for 9 minutes and then left for lunch. Very poor customer service my wife even called before she left work to make sure they had the medicine and td them she was on her way. read more
