Costco is the GOAT when it comes to value. Yes, you may have to buy a bit more than what you intend to use in the short term, but through strategic planning, you can really make those dollars stretch far. Also, you may very well be absolutely floored with all the things you can get from Costco- this also includes services and even trips! The staff here is friendly and helpful as well. Even the gentleman who signed me up for my membership was nearly giddy talking about how much he loves working for them and has been with the company since the 1980's. One of the things I am most impressed about with Costco is the sheer amount of products and services they offer. Just a few of WOW moments are : Did you know they offer vaccinations through their pharmacy? They have a program where you can get an assessment of what vaccinations are recommended for travel abroad. Before we went to Africa we had it all done through the Costco pharmacy and we were able to get our shots and malaria pills. Another WOW moment is the sheer joy is discovery in the product assortment. Have you been on Southwest Airlines and had those yummy Stellar Snacks Maui Monk Pretzel Braids? Well, they sell those here in bulk and it's a great value! I've also bought plants here among other things- you'll never know what you will find! Now, navigating the massive store can get a little anxiety inducing, so to keep the stress to a minimum, I go at 10am on weekdays only. Only once did I got to Costco on the weekend. It was with my Father-in-law in California and I would say it was overwhelming with so many people around, but taking the time of day into consideration works for me, and to be honest, I'm sure most people are fine with it. Overall Costco is an easy 5 stars for their all-around great value, service and breadth of product. It's quite mindblowing! read more

Don't use Costco Travel for car rental or other travel if you actually expect to have the rental car provide the reservation. When budget didn't have the promised car when I arrived at the rental location, its "help" was to say "we don't own the rental car company" ...yes, but Costco does PROMISE to deliver the booked reservation at the promised time and rate as a membership benefit. By the way the dedicated Budget line at cosco travel also equally denies any responsibility. Customers that don't get promised reservations are left stranded, losing valuable time and money. Promising and not delivering is not just bad customer relations, it's a deceptive trade practice under Texas and most other state laws. Costco, this isn't a benefit, it's an injury. read more

Okay, I'm going to finally do my taxes. There was no need to hurry, since I don't expect a refund. I don't care to give the government a no interest loan. Anyway, I went to Costco to pick up a copy of Turbo Tax, so I could breeze through the process. I tried to find the Turbo Tax display, but it wasn't where it usually is. Not where you pass by it between the TVs and the cell phone booth. I finally asked an employee. It was against the wall, where nobody seems to go. My experience went downhill from there. The price isn't discounted, as it has been in past years. But, they include a $10 credit toward an in-product-add-on that I don't want. So, I wasn't really going to get a deal here. And, you realize that there is no installation disk included. Those days are gone. You only get instructions on downloading and installing the software through your connection on the world wide web and an activation code that makes it work for you. But it gets worse. The display was only made to display versions of Turbo Tax that do Federal AND State tax forms, and they were priced accordingly. I believe the buyers at Costco know that Dallas is deep in the heart of Texas and Texas does not have a state income tax. So, why is Costco only giving their customers the option to buy a pricier version of tax software that does state tax preparation? I saved $10 by purchasing the Federal only version from Amazon, immediately received an email with download instructions and an activation code. Up and running in 10 minutes. read more

The staff are all very kind although it's hard to find employees while walking down the aisles in search of specific items. Signage signage signage is important - especially those that don't frequent Costco stores regularly. I visited on a Tuesday afternoon and got lucky with decent sales on wines! Avocados were also fresh and it looked like the sample lines were busy. Parking lot is massive but be sure to be careful when exiting if heading north on DNT. The gps seems to get a bit wonky there and you might miss the turn into the parking lot and be forced to U-turn off the service road. read more

Construction to add more pumps finished months ago. So nice to find an open pump right away even during busy times. Next improvement was at check out. See photo of hand held scanner new to store. We have experienced at other stores having our basket scanned before getting to register; gun looking device, iPad/tablet/ring scanner. Now using a mobile phone device. Staff scans barcode in basket after scanning your member card. Once that's done move into check out lane. Staff scans your member card again and everything is paid for once you tap/insert credit card into payment device. No need to take anything out of basket if item can be scanned. Save time; as much as possible put in basket bar code up for easy scanning. read more

This location is convenient for us but we always have to brace ourselves on how busy it will be, it doesn't help that the person manning the self check out is quite rude. The place is always well stocked and organized. Great product selection and floor employees are knowledgeable and helpful. Unsure if the electronics and cell counters are worth it. Hotdogs and pizza are of course always on point. The ordering system is quick, and we are always in and out when grabbing a bite. The geniuses at this location decided to move the self-checkout lines to the middle of the store. While I totally get that Saturdays are a "busy" day, I've been there enough times (even on regular days) to see how much of a bad idea this was. Are they doing this at other locations? I HOPE NOT. You would not believe the traffic congestion that builds in the middle isle... leading to the cash registers. You would not believe the amount of people in the back/ beginning of the line (AND the side isles) to get to the cash registers. On top of that, you have folks that still use the side isle to check out. So now you have THREE long lines. Add to that the amount of employees and customers that cut in & out the lines to work, shop or move baskets/carts around. Did I mention the customers (in line) dragging mattresses to the checkout too? Now imagine the amount of customers that are irritated with the lines... trying hold their place in lines... and are getting irritated with others causing interruptions to the lines. Also imagine the folks that are trying to shop BUT they have to deal with the lines! One more final thing to think about... Imagine the lines backed up to the clothing section (YES... all three lines) AND Costco still has the audacity to have CLOSED registers??? While I get that "work" needs to get done in other areas of the store, I think they need to plan better during peak times of the day. And let's not pretend this problem only happens "on a Saturday" and only for a few short hours. This is a nonstop inconvenience MOST OF THE TIME I happen to shop there. A certain level of common sense needs to be exercised where certain moments require "all hands on deck". If other locations moved their self-checkouts, I may soon find out... because I'm growing tired of the antics at this location and I may have to start shopping at a different location. And if someone at the corporate level made this idiotic decision for all locations, someone definitely needs to sit them down for a conversation. First, let me just say that the Executive Membership & Costco Citi Credit Card are absolutely worth their weight in gold. I use it just about everywhere Visa is accepted. Mom and I stopped by yesterday to get a few things. It's like a treasure trove; you could easily spend hours here. The selection, variety, and value of merchandise (some of them brand name) is all there. It's also a good way to get your steps in for the day. Above all, however, the main reason for making the conscious effort and decision to return to this particular location has to do with the customer service we receive from employees on the floor every time we enter the warehouse to scan our card. I have come six times in the last month and they use the bike parking as an employee break/smoke area and it's always covered in boxes and trash. You can't chain a motorcycle or bicycle since it's there only place to take breaks. The store is mostly clean and the staff inside is nice. I live 5 min away from this Costco and have been here dozens of times. Usually a great selection of food and produce, although they've often run out of cleaning products and essentials due to Covid in the past. There's always congestion of traffic near the gas line since so many ppl line up for it, and the store itself is pretty packed during the weekend. Overall great store! read more

Always a solid store. This costco overall does a decent job in all regards. They are often extremely busy but the lines move along pretty well and the only time I've really had to wait long were for food (and even then only a couple of times). The prices are decent but I do feel like they've become slightly less of a value the past couple of years. But still overall better than regular grocery stores and you can find good deals with a little patience. Also, the food court is still the best deal ever and I love it. There are a couple of annoyances though: 1. At this location they are super strict about getting in. Maybe they have dealt with a lot of fraud or something but it is pretty annoying that I have to scan my card to even go grab a hot dog. I used to walk through to it and show my card (which literally has my face on it) with no problem but that is no longer. 2. The rotation of stock is super quick. It can be really annoying finding something we like only for them to discontinue it, which happens quite often. 3. I wish they had a better way to give an idea of what is where in the store. Even with how much I've been there I still don't know which aisles have things I need, especially as the stock rotates. Overall though, it is a costco and I will be back read more

Very rude staff in this location. We love shopping at Costco, both in store and online. However recently we had a very bad experience when returning a jewelry which was not even very expensive! Ordered a size 6 diamond ring online as per the ring size I wear. Comes out that it was still loose! Barely a week after receiving the ring, I decided to return it in the store. The ring was brand new, unused and with tags on. The lady at the return counter called the Manager to get the ring returned. The manager was very rude and humiliating and told that I have been returning jewelry very often (which is not true) and added that I will no longer be allowed to return any jewelry item to Costco in future, ever ! I was shocked. Last year I purchased 2 rings and kept one design which I liked. From what the manager told me it seemed that I have been buying jewelry very frequently from Costco and returning them! Not true at all! I cannot afford buying jewelry frequently in the first place. Secondly, if the jewelry item was something which I didn't like or the size was not OK, then Costco's return policy does allow the customers to return the unused and undamaged item, right? I will take this matter to the corporate office as I have proof that I have not been frequently buying and returning jewelry from Costco. My membership login information which has all the details of my past purchases since the past 20 years is a proof of this fact. Please beware that if you want to buy jewelry from Costco online and just if you wanted to return in store and buy some other design, you may have to go through this humiliating process. I also utilize their gas and for the most part it's always busy as well but lines move quick. The store is always clean and it's one of the bigger Costco's out there. One day I stopped in for a hot dog and drink and was able to help a person in crisis in the parking lot. Tire Department is dishonest. They were fine when I purchased tires from them. But were dishonest when I went for a simple tire rotation (non-Costco tires). Front tires should have been installed to the back as they were 8/32". Rear tires should have been installed to the front as they were 6/32". Simple. They charged for a service but never performed that. My tires have the same thread as before the service. 6/32" rear, 8/32" front. I don't know what kind of "tire rotation" they did but they didn't switch the tires. Never refunded. And arguing with my bank that they did it. Dishonest place. read more

One thing I didn't like is that if you want to purchase liquor, you have to go outside and they have a store on the side of the building and purchase it there. Things are different for the last year but I've always felt comfortable with masks/distancing enforced till just recently, now you are encouraged but not required to wear masks. They have a great selection of items and I've rarely found them out of anything listed in their sale catalog. Staff are always friendly and helpful. They've added a liquor store outside, doesn't carry Kirkland items we've loved at other costco though. They have a gas station that is always manned with one or two people. They've added self checkout which is easy to use if you only have a few items (which is rare for me lol) This is a great store read more

You know those times when someone unexpected simply inspires you? I'm sitting at Costco for the third time in 2 weeks to get new tires. I mentioned to my wife last week that Jesus at the tire place has a great attitude, and was very helpful. He saw me walk in to order my tires which I had priced out a week earlier and he remembered my name, the car and tire size. Guy must have had 200 customers that day. I'm not a very memorable guy. Today he spots me sitting around the food court waiting for the tires to be installed and takes the time to stop and greet me by name. Then goes on to help the next customer with that same smile and enthusiasm. So I'm inspired today because I do the same job everyday and there are those tough days. Worst Costco location ever, staff is beyond rude like no other. If you gone to other Costco everyone so nice. This nope rude, beyond horrible bed side manner. If you're walking in and you just wanna go to the food court or to the pharmacy or anything and you're going through the exit, usually can go in by showing your card and going to pick it up with no problem. However, at this location, they will tell you to go the other way and make you walk the whole 9 yards and they think they said that that is their policy which is unbelievable. I never heard of this policy. Been to the one at other states and they allowed to go through the exit to get your medication, refills food or whatever you need for that direction. In this one you have to go all the way around to go get it and these people are rude. As a new customer coming to Costco or returning customer hundred percent do not come to this location. It is not worth your time value or anything. Also they don't have unique food or unique international cuisines over here like the other Costco does. read more

Her name is STEPHAINE. Today I went to return a set of anatomy books that were packaged in a box. I greeted the staff, and she asked me why I was returning them. I explained that when I bought them, they were wrapped in transparent plastic, so I couldn't see the contents. When I got home, I realized they weren't what I wanted. She then opened the box and checked each item. Inside, there was a set of cards with cut-out designs to help children trace the human organ. She took it out and told me, "You must have pop these out. You need to put them back together." I said I didn't remember cutting them out. She accused that my child had done it, and said I had to take everything back. I was confused because I wasn't sure anymore, but I knew that if I decided to return something, I would never alter it, and I always return things as they are. spoke to me in a very ARROGANT tone, as if she didn't believe me at all, and she couldn't be bothered to verify anything I left, but after walking a few steps, I felt something wasn't right. I flipped the box over and saw it clearly labeled that the cards were designed to be cut out. I immediately got angry and went back to confront her. Another staff member called me over, helped me process the return, and comforted me, saying, "We are all human." Yes, we are all human, so please don't question me. Moreover, you could inspect everything carefully. Come on guys, you accept returns of Christmas trees after Christmas, half-opened bags of chips, seven-year-old mattresses, dead plants, and basically anything that's been used, but you refuse to return a book that is 99.999999% new? She rejected me! I've been a black card member since 2016, visiting your store weekly. Please, don't let the attitude of one or two rude employees affect the customer experience. These guys have it together. They were wiping down carts before giving them to customers to walk in with. All employees were wearing masks and the registers had a barrier between the cashiers and customers to protect both parties. They currently have the food court closed and sampling is nonexistent for obvious reasons. As for no covid19 stuff they were well organized and the employees were very friendly and helpful. One manager was a stickler and a bit rude to customers but everyone else was great. I suppose it was because be was under pressure due to the virus. Their produce, meats, deli, and most sections that were rumored to be low in stock were not. They were controlling the purchases of paper products by keeping them in open view with employees nearby to keep things under control. Everything was well managed and business was as close to usual as possible. This is the closest Costco to our house so I'm pleased that this is our go to location. read more
